I'm goin to miss I-70 and I-55 being overlapped north of St. Louis. Will the New I-70 at the Mississippi River Bridge go south to IL-3 after entering Illinois and then overlap I-55? If thats the case, i'll feel better. Also curious about making a video from I-270 to I-44 using 55/70...
@freewaysuggestor No, the bridge will be about 2 miles north of the Poplar Street Bridge, and it will overlap 55 just north of the I-55/64/current 70 split.
I completely forgot that MO also uses letter designations for their roadways. It seems like MO and WI are the only two states that do that, any particular reason why?
Highway 70 is not my favorite section of St. Louis highway at all. It likes to just back up at any time. There is a certain September weekend you must stay off 70 at all costs otherwise 2000+ motorcycles will literally shut it down in front of the arch (there are such videos on youtube out there). Its why I would rather go through the valley of death on 270 then go through da hoods on 70.

As a St. Louisian, I hate that stretch of 70 through the city both ways. High traffic volume, crashes, and motorists who think its the autobahn.
Seems that all the timelapsers are in St. Louis.

@coldsteel2204 When we were in St. Louis, only a couple people thought it was the autobahn, but they were outside of the city.

Did you notice the arch's shadow on that building at about 1:21? I thought that was way cool.

@dvferyance I noticed the shadow while I was editing the video.

Great video to watch! A lot of freeways around the Detroit area also only have 6 lanes (total) and rush hour traffic can be crazy on them.

Awesome ride. I think I was on my way to KC when you filmed this.

Nice video, Andrew. It's a long time since I've been to St. Louis, and at time I was twelve, and was passing through.
