It's one of these interactive movie games where you can give the character (in this case Rockman) some commands but most of the time... you're just watching a movie.

It takes place between Rockman 4 and Rockman 5 and was released in the late 90's for both... the Sega Saturn and Sony PlayStation.

However... the Robot Masters of part 4 didn't appear here most probably because they were Cossack's creations.

Another interesting fact: SAR is the only classic game where Rock uses both busters.

But Mega Man does actually use both busters in the original 9 games too.

Just he flips around, using the other one on his other hand. This is the first game when he uses both at the same time.

The PSX-version of MegaMan 8 might be an exception because you can charge one Mega Buster and still use the other (even though it's just the simple shot then).

It is, in a way. When you shoot to the left, he uses his right hand and when you shoot to the right, he uses his left hand.

Seriously speaking though, according to this episode, Rockman can't use both busters at once because the overload would kill him (Supposedly. He survives this one time).
