  • Pg 444 of Stephen King's 11.22.63 brought me here...

  • What people, especially Americans, dont understand is that Kennedy and the Americans at the time were blatent hypocrits. America had missiles in turkey and Italy which are in close proximity to Russia. Furthermore America had invaed, 2 years prior, a country form the same political circle as Russia and one whom the Russians considered an alli. America had made just as much, if not more, threats toward the Russians.

  • BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MR28alex28 If it wasn't for JFK preventing WW3 you wouldn't even be alive right now you ignorant little kid.

  • @MR28alex28 What did you expect? why did you even watch it?

  • Soviets and Americans were made to believe that they are threat to each other. Similar propaganda was used to make people live in fear of war on both sides. Devide and rule, it's so simple. Those in power don't want to die, why would they launch a nuclear missile against themselves? Both Russia and US are controled by the same people who altogether form a global government. Regular people have NO idea what is actually going on, they live in absolute ignorance. It is a well set up Matrix indeed

  • I was only 1 month old when this happened, my life could have ended before it started!!

  • He had a lisp? Short tongue. How did I not know that?

  • good job woods and mason you saved us all.

  • Wish we had a real President like this, nowadays.

  • from the study of this crisis i can safely conclude that humanity won, coz there was no bloodshed. But this case could have been entirely different if some officers in a soviet nuclear sub marine had not disagreed.

  • Thank god the x-men were there...

  • I bet the "I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire" by Ink Spots music had been playing in the background, as Kennedy was adressing this words :P

  • The Jupiter missiles in Turkey and Italy were outdated.

The reason USSR put missiles in Cuba was because of US advantage in long range ICBMs.

The US Atlas missile was 3 times smaller than the Soviet R-7 but it had twice the range.

Also the USA had an overwhelming advantage in strategic bombers. So the Soviets thought because of those and and of the U.S. missiles in Turkey, they had a chance to put missiles into Cuba to target U.S. cities like New York, Washington DC, Boson, etc and so on.

  • will someone explain the cold war to me in 1 comment?

  • @xraidedlok

US put some big bombs in Turkey to scare the USSR. USSR put big bombs in Cuba in respond. Both realized the mistakes and took their big bombs back. We all lost and won: -- HUUUGE amount of money was spent stupidly, -- Millions of people were brought into fear and lost their happiness for a while. ++ Possible Nuclear War did not happen.

  • @nebozemlya thank you... even better if you are russian yes?

  • @xraidedlok Yes. The entire cuban missile exercise was indirectly due to man sized ego's coupled with strategic forces aided by profit motive and orchestrated via minds of children.

  • We are lucky KENNEDY was president during this period , just imagine what could have happened . Take care of him and don't forget his words, because he was working for us , better yet he died for us.

    GIANFRANCO FRONZI. DEC. 24 / 11

  • @9493760 he is my fav president

  • @9493760 Kennedy was one of the worst US presidents and the Cuban Missile Crisis was America's worst defeat until the Vietnam War.

Kruschev only put the missiles in Cuba to force Kennedy to remove all US missiles from Turkey and Italy.

  • @MrRobertJameson This i don't believe .

    GIANFRANCO FRONZI

  • @9493760 Kruschev himself stated it in his memiors.

  • @MrRobertJameson YOU BELIEVE THE ENEMIES MEMOIRS ?

    GIANFRANCO FRONZI

  • @9493760 We can only imagine how much better Eisenhower or Nixon would have handled the situation.

The Republicans had warned Kennedy the Soviets were going to put missiles on Cuba and he ignored them.

  • @MrRobertJameson KENNEDY DID THE BEST , I WAS A KID BUT I REMEMBER .

WE , EVEN US CANADIANS FELT PRIDE , AND SECURE , WHEN J. F .K. TOLD THEM TO TURN THOSE SHIPS BACK OR SUFFER THE REACTION .

WHY DO YOU KEEP TRUING TO BELITTLE A PRESIDENT THAT WAS WORKING WITH RIGHTEOUS INTENT , FOR THE PEOPLE , HE DIED FOR IT .

    GIANFRANCO FRONZI. FEBRUARY . 6 / 12

  • @9493760 Actually it was Kruschev who ordered the ships to turn back - after Kennedy had agreed to remove all US missiles from Turkey and Italy.

General Curtis Le Mey was right. It was by far the worst defeat the United States had ever suffered.

  • @MrRobertJameson That's funny , the U.S. didn't remove any artillery from anywhere .

    GIANFRANCO FRONZI

  • @9493760 Kennedy secretly removed every single US missile from Turkey and Italy.

  • @MrRobertJameson OH YEA ? SECRETLY ? GIVE ME A BREAK , THIS IS THE LAST OF MY TIME ON THIS TOPIC . SO ARRIVEDERCI .

    GIANFRANCO FRONZI

  • @9493760 Read the wikipedia article on the Cuban Missile Crisis for a start.

You could keep things secret 50 years ago.

  • IM A HOE

  • Obama is going to find himself in this situation this year with Iran

  • @N9BJJ so weird I was just thinking that

  • Love a good ol' American island. pity bout the neighbours. YEE HAW!!!!

  • I don't like anyone bringing weapons into Cuba. Why can they not make their own cool weapons and sell them both to U.S.A. and Russia. Banks are the fucking sellouts them and casino's

  • Thank you for your service to the world, Mr. President.

  • @TheAdjundantReflex how long did this speaker address run for? in all honest terms. and was it just on one station? or did it break more news. Honestly. How long was the footage? good luck trying to stop boats and lslands. they dope.

  • er uh, er uh, er uh lol

  • JFK prevented WW III.....if Bush and Cheney and their trigger happy bunch were in power then...the world would have ended as we know it in October 1962...Kennedy kept his cool...

  • @RichardElden They wouldn't have tried to put them there in secret if that was true, they would of said that they were putting them in Cuba because we had them in Turkey. We didn't put are missiles in Turkey under the veil of secrecy like the Soviets in Cuba, which is why we confronted the Soviets.

  • @RichardElden you sir, don't have a clue.

  • @RichardElden that is not how that happen at all and he may not be the best but he averted WW3 which would probably have been the end of civilization on earth,

  • @RichardElden How did he lose this crisis? That makes no sense. Do you realize Cuba was given authority to launch the missiles at their will and the fact that Castro wanted to launch them? You bias against Kennedy is a fallacy and is clear. It wouldn't have mattered if Republicans told him earlier so what you blockade Cuba for no reason? that sounds like a good idea. And the Bay of Pigs was planned before Kennedy's presidency if you know anything about history. Kennedy avoided WW3 end of story.

  • @RichardElden Kennedy sent Cuban soldiers into Cuba to retake their country from Castro, Russia was friends with Cuba at that time because they were both communists. Russia gave Cuba missiles to defend against another attempt of a United States invasion. Kennedy agreed to stop trying to invade Cuba if Russia removed its missiles.

  • My god the thought of George bush handling this scares the shit out of me......while we are on the topic of worst presidents ever

  • @RichardElden He won the Cuban Missile Crisis, if it wasn't for him the United States and Russia would've gone to nuclear war. The world would have been destroyed due to World War III, you're from the United Kingdom. It appears you're horribly confused about the history of the United States.

  • You rocked, Kennedy. I wish there were more men like you in the world today.

  • Love Live Jack Kennedy, who served for his country and was killed by his country.

    (1917-1963)

  • The missiles were not yet in Europe but Khrushschev had been reading the scare-tactic news like The Huntington Post who had been lied to for money. With Kennedy on one line and Khrushchev on another and Castro on another I convinced them to let the status be(no long range missiles) on the condition that the United States pay for the fuel cost for the Soviet ship turning around and taking the missile back. The United States paid the fuel bill($16,000+) and put in short range 5-10 mile missiles.

  • Reagan spread a lot Bs about the Democrat's social problems/programs. (I laugh at times.) Because the GOP has barely change their tactics; what they have change; is realizing towards good public policy plans for our country; and an understanding of the needs of the people. But I guess, if you keep on throwing money around. " They Might be able to find away to "shining their failed philosophy;" One more time.

  • I have always loved JFK, and the movement that he and others believed in.

It's too bad, that most of the strong leaders in my party. seem to be dead, paid off, or bitching at the sidelines. (But I will always been a Democrat.) one of the few democrats that remember mortals/ vision of one of the greatest president's; of our time.

  • @RichardElden I heard, that was also. Cold War tech conflict/ lack of honest communication/dealings with aspects of the government and Russian government"powers that be". Plus a course; the public info that spread around. But shit, I wasn't there or even born. You have to go though a lot of bs. To even have a slight idea; on what was fulling going on. "I'm just glad that our governments work it out."

  • yea cuba

  • look at it on both sides if your house was robbed of your possessions would you not reinforce it by buying a dog or setting up survelliance cameras so you wouldnt get robbed again?

  • @RichardElden

you do know that your republican president eisenhower gave a warning about the military industrial complex on his farewell adress right? obviously he saw the eminent danger of standing armies and the military industrial complex and kennedy acted upon it which caused him his death.

okay i got mixed up in the dates but anyways cuba needed to protect itself from another possible invasion and asked for the societ union for assistance.

  • @RichardElden

yeah of course how very american for the USA to overthrow democratically and popular governments in latin america because these leaders oppose big business, free enterprise, and resist the neo liberalism policies of the world bank and wall street.

what the hell are you talking about USA spy drones hovering over cuba detected nuclear missiles being sent from the russians at 7% capability. the cuban missle crisis was before the bay of pigs invasion

  • @RichardElden fuck you you are a little deavil to say that and Jfk is the best president

  • @wigglemaster5000

and your still a faggot stop listening to those republicans if a nixon or a mccain was in his position they would have destroyed american cities and the world and made a lot of money for wall street and the military contractors to build more artillery, weapons, and bombs STUPID FUCK

  • @wigglemaster5000

fuck you faggot the truth hurts and you know it kennedy had the balls to stand up to the military industrial complex and he got killed for it.

  • Comment removed

  • @RichardElden SHUT UP JFK WAS THE BEST PRESIDENT WE HAVE EVER HAD, HE SECRETLY REMOVED MISSILES FROM TURKEY , SO IT WAS A VICTORY TO THE U.S.A DUMBASS, HOW CAN YOU WANT ANY HUMAN TO DIE , YOU JUST A DICK WHO NEEDS TO GET A LIFE

  • @RichardElden

Yeah Kennedy fucked up Bay of Pigs hard, but he dealt with the missile crisis like a champ.

  • @RichardElden no it wasn't, it was a success as it made ussr look weak and stupid.

  • @RichardElden ACTUALLY USSR PUT THEIR MISSILES THEIR TO HAVE THE TRUMP CARD OVER THE USA, THEY WOULD HAVE NO LESS THEN 5 MINS OF WARNING IF USSR DECIDED TO STRIKE, KENNEDY ORDERED A BLOCKADE ACROSS CUBA STOPPING SHIPS WHICH WERE CARRYING MISSILES INTO CUBA, KRUSHCHEV ORDERED HIS SHIPS BACK IF THEY DIDN'T IT WOULD OF BEEN WW3 ALSO KRUSCHEV SENT A LETTER TO KENNEDY MAKING A OFFER TO REMOVE ALL NUKES FROM CUBA

  • @RichardElden Actually, the truith is Kennedy and the rest of EXXCOM can't do that kind of necessary action because it is a form of "provoctive action". Another fact is, when Army General Maxwell Taylor proposed to President Kennedy for the first time to provide a "full scaled" attack on the Bay of Pigs, the President himself refused for if "provocative action" is to be used, the Soviets would most certainly retaliate as well, but with "nuclear missiles" not air support.

  • @RichardElden lol jfk was best president everr.

  • is this the whole thing? no right?

  • fuck the military industrial complex JFK didnt capitulate do the shadow government that runs the federal government. the joint chief of staffs wanted war but many americans would have died by short and long range nuclear weapons from cuba and the russians and around the world. JFK did the right thing saved us form WW3 and because he stood up to the special interest groups he got assassinated. americans need to wake up and detroy this war machine if not the result would be extinction.

  • @RichardElden

Yeah the Vietnam War was so fun and exciting thanks to the Texas whacko we got when he died

  • the only American whom I recognize a "real and true President" of the US.

He saved the world's ass from WW3.

  • John F kneenedy is My hero want make diffrence world because him better place

  • @RichardElden me too

  • this asshole could have been easily the reason for WW3 if he was not assassinated.

  • @dooooooer no. you're the asshole! he saved the world and the US' big fat ass from the threat of WW3 and even of a nuclear conflict between the Soviet Union and the United States!!!!

  • @Raymund925 how did he saved it describe

  • @dooooooer 1st of all, sorry for the foul language.

2ndly: From the start of the Soviet military build-up in Cuba in the early months of 1960 until the shooting down of a U-2 spy plane over Cuba and the final installations of IRBMs and MRBMs in 1962 and also the transporting of large atomic warheads by Soviet naval cargo frieghters from July up to mid October 1962, Kennedy worked tirelessly, and even had some sleepless nights just to find a "peaceful" solution over the Soviet Union and Cuba.

  • @dooooooer There were even rumors that his marriage with Jacqueline Kennedy was also put to risk because of the fact that Kennedy had no time for her and his two children JFK Jr. and Caroline. In the midst of 1962 when tensions grew even higher between Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev and the White House, Kennedy's generals including Defense Secretary Robert McNamara even prefered an invasion of Cuba which soon led to the infamous "Bay of Pigs Invasion".

  • @Raymund925 think it this way what if Soviet is as Stubborn as the present iran you know what will happen it could have been the end of the World.

  • @dooooooer Dude, every country, every leader has both a "heart and soul" and there's no such thing as a "Stubborn country". the only stubborn is evil. And don't compare Iran with the Soviet Union, for the Soviet Union was way more superior than Iran by any means of both military and nuclear arsenals background. But during the time of the "hottest point of of the Cold War" where the Soviets were the most powerful than the US, the Soviets made it a point to back down from a possible WW3.

  • @Raymund925 yes there are stubborn countries look iran has nothing but refused to bow for US. they know they can't match U.S. military. if you put iran in place of Soviets i tell you the world would have been destroyed by now. because of nuclear wars.

  • @dooooooer possibly... that's why right now, the US is being bugged and irritated by China, N.Korea and Iran over their own nuclear deterrances.

  • @dooooooer But, during the time when President Kennedy saw so many casualties in the particular event, he decided to use "other means" of "a counter offensive" against Khrushchev, and that was "through peace talks and negotiation". For 18 days of "tense negotiations and sleepless nights" President Kennedy, his brother Robert Kennedy and the rest of EXXCOM (Presidential Executive Committee) made all means to not make any "unnecessary and provocative force" against the Soviets and on Cuba.

  • @dooooooer JKF WAS THE BEST PRESIDENT IN THE WORLD, HE STOPPED WW3 FROM TAKING PLACE.

  • @whisperkid1 and then they shot him...

  • @pinkygirl1999 the mafia shot him :( shot him because he and his brother did alot against them

  • @whisperkid1 good people always die :(

  • how the hell do you know he ignored them

  • @RichardElden the USA were defeated at the bay of pigs but by the Cubans not the USSR. The Cuban Missile Crisis was a draw/American victory though as the Soviets removed missiles from Cuba and stopped any more missiles being deposited there whilst the jupiters the Americans agreed to remove from Turkey in response were obsolete and never used anyway.

  • JFK did not take any crap from the USSR.

I wish JFK, FDR, Truman and Ronald Reagan were here today.

Our economy would be fine, the Middle East would be a hole and illegals would not get a free pass.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • @RichardElden hahaha I wish to see that happen, the U.S would have gotten his ass kicked

  • @RichardElden Ordinarily I would entertain other points of view, but there comes a point when you just cannot be botherd with the idiot put before you. Im at that stage, so long douche.

  • @RichardElden you really are just an idiot arent you.....

  • @RichardElden Yeah whatever.

  • The modern missile crisis is that of the Star Wars program, a crisis this time being caused by America. Surely you'd think the world would learn from history.

  • It would really help if people looked at events in the context of the time and did some research. Also, fact is the Democrats were in power, and they managed to stop world war 3 in a way that benefited both sides, thats progress.

  • Thank Goodness for Xmen!!

  • @RichardElden

yup, cuba, mexico, africa. i mean shit, whats the point of christianity without manifest destiny right

I forgot that the angels came down from the sky and said "Guero, everything is yours"

  • @RichardElden You're a 19 year old kid from UK, now I understand why you post such nonsense.

  • the missiles were installed after the bay of pigs invasion. And the U.S. got offended. That's like if i went out and tried to mug someone, and then I took offense that they buy a gun to protect themselves. And wow, the soviets denied something?how many times has the U.S. denied their involvement in different situations. i swear, you have to put history in little kid terms for most people to understand. The U.S. is always claiming to be under attack by those uninterested, Mexico, Vietnam, Cuba...

  • reminds me of black ops??

  • @RichardElden Thanks for that inciteful comment. 'Kennedy lost'.......what? Did he? Thats funny, cos i thought that this was the beginnings of Perestroika and Gasnost. So I think your summation needs alittle explanation, eh? :)

  • @RichardElden Sometimes to win a war you have to lose a battle. If the US had won this battle the outcome might have been worse for the US and the world than in the current outcome. Losing isn't all that bad if the end result of that lose was factured in.

  • Generally speaking the Cuban Missle crisis was resolved in the best way possible safe for it never have to be taken place at all. I also believe that in that time Republicans and Democrats were lass hard core on each other. These days the United States is hardly capable of making groundbreaking decisions since both sides have decided to prematurely block the moves of the other regardless what those moves are.

  • I was 8 years old-everyday the sirens in my city-Boston- would go off and we would have to hide under our school desks-some children would cry. I watch this video and It takes me right back-it was absolutley terrifying. The Korean had just ended a few years back- Vietnam was starting to kick in-even after the missle crisis there was constant threat of nuclear war.

  • I was 8 years old-everyday the sirens in my city-Boston- would go off and we would have to hide under our school desks-some children would cry. The Korean had just ended a few years back- Vietnam was starting to kick in-even after the missle crisis there was constant threat of nuclear war.

  • This must have been a truly terrifying time to live in, but resulted in the most wondrous peace initiatives ever. A testament to humanity and it's innate ability to trust. I may be oversimplifying things, somewhat, and ther will be people out there who disagree. But look where we are now. Speaks for itself, doesn't it? :)

  • @RichardElden So now your going back on what you said before and accepting they were keeping missiles in Cuba. Haha! Well as weird an encounter this has been Im bored now. Thank god you werent the President during this crisis. It would have been funny for a bit at least.

  • @RichardElden Why would the Republicans tell Kennedy that when they werent in power? Anyway it doesnt matter, it depends on your point of view. I see it as a victory, as would millions of others. You may see it as a defeat, as Im sure many others would. I really cant help but be confused by you saying the USSR had no intention of keeping missiles in Cuba when they were clearly building and shipping missiles there. Not to mention the fact that Castro admitted it in many an interview.

  • @RichardElden gives another meaning to took a bullet 4 the team.

but he was good "He could have started WW3, but he didnt!!" as the top rated comment says, thank you you almost destroyed the world but you didnt thank god ;)

  • @RichardElden Its for those reasons that I would argue Kennedy scored the victory. Its all about how you view things though.

  • @RichardElden You could argue that. But there is plenty of evidance that showed Kruschev had to argue constantly with his ministers because they wanted to run the blockade, starting ww3. In this event Kruschev wasnt a bad man, the humanity of the guy meant that war didnt come to pass. Kennedy got a victory, the USSR didnt place missiles in Cuba. Kruschev got a victory, the USA removed its missiles, although obselete and of no use any more anyway, from Turkey. USAs victory was also more public.

  • NSA sent men into cuba to defuse missles and to kill fidel castro, they got ambushed and the mission failed, i know more about this, but im not even sure if im supposed to be saying it, lol

  • @jeffb5181 tell more i wont tell no one

  • JFK doesn't know the full story. The X-Men mutants wanted the US and the Soviet Union to have a nuclear war. The mutants wanted regular people to die so they could take over.

  • @G1Main Thank you! Finally someone agrees! Lol.

  • Lol now im going to play zombies on cod.

  • Evil Evil man, sent off 60 thousand some YOUNG men to be slaughtered.

  • @zigzag789789 Sent 60,000 young men to be slaughtered? I'm assuming you're talking about Vietnam. He had sent military advisors there, but the Tonkin Gulf Resolution and subsequent buildup of the US presence in Vietnam didn't happen until 1964, a year after Kennedy was dead. No, that was LBJ who got the ball rolling in a big way in SE Asia.

  • history repeating sounds like Israel and Iran now

  • Comment removed

  • Well... to be fair, USA did place missiles in Turkey too. Turkey was Cuba's counterpart.

  • What has JFK actually done for America besides talk and cheat on his wife? What significant bills were passed during his administration? Anything done about Civil Rights besides talk? What? It's a huge difference between wanting to do something and actually doing something.

  • @ArtistBet

Are you stupid?I wish more Americans would open a history book so you can pretend you're not a complete moron. Lets see. Space program, peace corps, prevented ww3,nuclear test ban treaty. He created and fought for the civil right act before he was killed. He put more blacks in federal government, fought against employment discrimination. Of course he also had to deal with cuban missile crisis, etc so the civil rights act wasn't passed earlier.

  • Obama wouldn't have made a stand in the cuban missle crisis

  • @Abennobashi Obama would be sending money to Cuba lol

  • how could USA blame the soviet when they themself had put their missiles on turkey first? Do they have the right to blame the soviet? After all, the soviet was just letting USA have a taste of their own medicine.

  • Да, мы в те времена много шалили

  • CIA knew the Bay of Pigs would fail, and tried to manipulate JFK into launching a full-scale attack on Cuba during both the Bay of Pigs and The Cuban Missle Crisis. JFK didn't take the bait either time.

JFK was approached twice by the Joint Chiefs/CIA to nuke USSR by late 1963 before their automated response system was perfected! That's how sick it got.

CIA wanted JFK's death to look like a Communist plot. LBJ stopped that, but gave them Vietnam (which JFK had resisted) as a booby prize.

  • @Nicole3900 you know he was born in the united states right?

  • @Nicole3900 WTF does an accent have to do with anything? His actions almost blew up America.

  • I love his New England accent. He seems like he was a great president. We need another president from New England.

  • Each side wanted to one up the other in terms of Nuclear strike capability. Kennedy wanted his missiles in Turkey just like the russians wanted there's closer to the U.S.A. It seems as though America won this brinksmenship play but remember...we quietly withdrew our nukes from Turkey a few months later in a compromise with the Russians. I bet this announcement by our President scared the hell out of Americans. If Americans are smart...history will be stressed as not to repeat mistakes.

  • why would USA attack Cuba don't be ridiculous.

  • @bax7172 I wasn't born back when the missile crisis was happening but I agree with you on the cold war being a joke. It was just another in a long line of "boogey men" that the people in control needed to keep us under their thumbs. Now we have "terrorism". It's all a joke. The shadow government behind the puppet is always looking to stay in control of all things.

  • dose not sound like hizs voice but what do i kno really he was already dead when i was born .

  • Everyone that came here because of xmen, you all are disgraces

  • i only came here becoz of xmen

  • @pakistan1eer JFK was a xmen he was a superhero for our Country

  • Excellent Speach. The biggest failure of Kennedy was Mafia, Jimmy Hoffa and Union works. Public issues like that he refered to as a secret society. He could have been a great president but at the time Mafia and organized representation work or rights of all public was less of his effort. His response was ask not what you can do for your country but what you can do for it. A mistake was asking Vietnahm to do low end manual labor jobs. Black Americans was provided rights vietnam had less.

  • People forget that America was the one that started everything with placing nukes in Turkey, so the USSR had to do something to maintain the balance of power. How is American nukes in Turkey any better than Soviet nukes on Cuba. Don't get me wrong, the USSR was the biggest evil in general, but here they acted rather rationally.

  • Shit to your grave, you fucking capitalist scum.

    Viva Cuba!

  • @Bandiera10Rossa

From which country do you reside?

  • @MrOnemanone Greece, which now IMF is destroying.

  • @Bandiera10Rossa easier to blame faceless organizations than the incompetence of your own government, eh?

  • @Cirvantes123 They are not faceless. And don't worry, I blame my government too.

  • @Bandiera10Rossa I'm not worried. It's not my nation going down the shitter, its yours.

  • @Bandiera10Rossa------------- asshole

  • @Bandiera10Rossa Wow. The IMF is saving your ass.

  • I came here to see if what was in the x-men first class trailer was true

  • Thomas Blanton, director of the National Security Archive, said, "A guy called Vasili Arkhipov saved the world."

  • x men ~

  • God damn commies. Well played Mr President

  • JFK,BLOWN AWAY IN 1963!!

  • history shows that cuba and castro were never a threat to the u.s. castro was dictator of cuba for more than 40 years after kennedy's death. cuba was and is a little country, and castro was a little dictator. kennedy should have ignored castro and cuba. then there would have been no bay of pigs invasion, no cuban missile crisis, and probably no castro-loving nut like oswald that assassinated kennedy. kennedy's whole presidency is defined by the little country of cuba.

  • @johnny511000 Kennedy did not cause the Cuban missile crisis!! The Bay of Pigs invasion was already in motion before he came into office. He would have been out of his mind to ignore the SOVIET missiles just 90miles off the US coast. Its because of his strong stance on the matter that the Soviets realised the USA wasnt as easy a target as they thought. The only reason Castro didnt do anything in the 40 years after his death, was because there was nothing he could do. That is thanks to JFK.

  • @johnny511000 Instaed of making Kennedy out to be a war crazed freak, just remember he was acting in the interests of American and even western defence. He could have started WW3, but he didnt!! Its one of Americas, and the worlds, greatest achievements!!
