Think about this. before television was popular, way way before the internet, when the only mass media was newspapers, and radio, this man was popular in Europe, Asia, South America, and North America. Not only popular, but loved by people the world over.
dang one day i was in my schools libary (rancho cucamonga middle school) and i picked up a random book and it was a book about Armstrong and i read the whole thing and now im hooked to his music i love this good man!
I along with many other Louis fans are so happy you released this video. But you have the wrong year. This was filmed in March, 1963. Louis went to Australia in November of '64, but with Russell "Big Chief" Moore on trombone, Eddie Shu on clarinet and the same rhythm section & vocalist. I hope you guys release the "real" Louis in Australia 1964 some day. It was also televised.
I listen to a lot of Louie's music and i must say he was perhaps the greatest musician of his time, but without a doubt the most passionate. His great music still lives in those that appreciate it.
I miss Louis so much! :((( He did so well at playing trumpet. He was wonderful. Again, I really miss him. I wish he was still alive! I'll never forget you Louis!
