bless your heart sweetie & THANK YOU for posting :) i was diagnosed with a spinal cord tumor a couple years ago and had surgery. i lost feeling in my lower left leg that comes and goes. i have like 16 titanium clips and a shunt inside my spine. i have constant pain and numbness & don't know from moment to moment what is next.... thank u for sharing ur story...i really really appreciate. u rock :)
I read that you had recently relocated to Newfoundland and I notice from your other videos that your boyfriend is British. I have an old schoolfriend living in Newf, his name is Hermann High. Do you or your boyfriend know him?
Also, did you have any improvement in your condition after the inflammation died down (as sometimes happens with SCIs).
Yes I did. I've been blind since birth and had my guide dog since 2000. She is easing into retirement now, and I'm training another dog to become my new guide/service dog.
I find your story very interesting and tragic however I'm a bit confused. You're explaining how you became quadiplegic but you have full use of your arms. Don't you mean paraplegic?
quad means four and para means two, if you were quadriplegic you wouldn't be able to use your arms either.
Nothing tragic about her story (I Know because I am her boyfriend!). Just to explain about the Quadriplegic vs Paraplegic - this refers to an "impairment" in all four limbs. The human body is not wired up logically. She has no movement in her fingers, (cannot feel or grip) and patchy feeling in her arms. She can also move her arms but not over her head. Hope this helps to explain it all.
damn honey you don't get any breaks i wish i could hug you :(
