  • great video. in addition, one could use BCV (biphasic cuirass ventilation) to actively control the breath and the I:E ratio and ensure great neb uptake treatment. that in addition to BCV's secretion clearance treatment (the only real high frequency chest wall oscillation, because its the only one that expands the lungs fully) would ensure proper secretion removal to further ensure medication makes it to the bronchioles.     I get the client to perform peak flow metres before and after nebs to assess effectiveness. I also try to get them to breath slower on expiration, as 66% - 75% of nebulisation occurs during the expiration phase.

    Those new dosimetres are great aswell. They release of the medication only during the first part of inspiration, reducing the amount of wasted medication left in the main airways, at the end of inspiration phase.
