I get the client to perform peak flow metres before and after nebs to assess effectiveness. I also try to get them to breath slower on expiration, as 66% - 75% of nebulisation occurs during the expiration phase.
Those new dosimetres are great aswell. They release of the medication only during the first part of inspiration, reducing the amount of wasted medication left in the main airways, at the end of inspiration phase.
