Game looks fun but I have a question: Does this game have a technology tree, able to design my own ships like GC2, can I build, and conduct how to invade a planet like in Imperium Galactica 2. If not, do you know of a game I can do those things because GC2 has no space craft carrier carrier and the warp bubble in it does not make up for the lack of 1

@FivetimeRavage I think you cannot compare the pace of SOASE with Homeworld. There're not exactly the same genre of games. SOASE is called RT4X game, not a pure RTS game. It requires players to manage other empire things besides combats, so it may seem a bit slower.

looks like its got nice visuals, but all this space stuff has gone ott. they've been releasing that crap since the early 80's. however i love strategy games as you need a head on your shoulders to be able to play it. it looks very much like the game EVE aswell (and i mean VERY much like it).

Well they are doing different things all the time and reinventing older things which is all good imo, I don't see how they have gone "ott" personally. This game also isn't crap, far from it, it's actually one of the best RTS's of all time.

HW2 is awesome because it gives you that cool battle feeling that you rarely get from other tactical games. Strategy does have a great effect. Just my thoughts, nice vid :D

@hamstergurulord At the upper left corner, it's the Vaygr Battlecruiser, the small one near the battlecruiser is the Hiigaran Defense Field Frigate, and the one far away in the middle is the Hiigaran Carrier.

There has been speculation supported through various sources that Relic has re-acquired the rights to the Homeworld franchise from Vivendi. THQ confirmed that Relic indeed owns the trademark again, making a continuation of the series under THQ's lead possible. However, no comment on future installments was given. @WinterDweller They aren't exactly the same genre, and it's quite hard to compare. In Sins of Solar Empire, the "tactic" part is relatively shallow compared to Homeworld 2, because it's main focus is the "strategy", the empire management..etc, while Homeworld 2 mainly focuses on Tactic, or how you conduct a battle (Not a war).

To put it simple, Homeworld 2 focuses on "How you fight", while Sins of Solar Empire is "when/where you fight" and a more complicated resources management.

Left click on Run as Administrator 6. Click the Allow button if it asks you for permission 7. Type or copy and paste this into the command prompt window: bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff 8. Hit enter and you should see the confirmation: Operation Completed Successfully 9. Reboot and DEP should be off.
