Actually no, this is the correct release order. It's different than the chronological, yes. But it's how it was meant to be seen.

It was on the Collector Edition of the DVD. And you can tell the exact order by remembering the order it was spread on the internet way back then. The last came first.

No, it's a special feature on the movie DVD, and I think it was actually released prior to the film. I really like it; it gives us a chance to see what River was like before they cut into her head.
