ok i will tell you in the book she turns into a vampire and she thinks she loves damon and forgets about stefan but there is another vampire in town and guess who it is .... ITS KATHERINE she never die she faked it!!! but katherine then gets all 3 (elena,damon and stefan) but elena has to save them so she pushes katherine in the light and they both burn :( so elena dies in the end and the to brothers stick together from then on ...but that whats the book says so it might not go like that.
