My Dad is an alcoholic too & only weeks before he died after lying down with a second stroke I wanted to tell him how he made mine & my sister's life a hell - Mom was co-addicted and no help - I saw him and how he got his sentence and I forgave him, made peace and let him go. It was his decision to die cause he was half-side lame and couldn't talk anymore - he was like a butterfly never around and couldn't bare to be bedridden - which I totally understand.
