I remember fighting that boss. He was pretty tough. This is a good example. Of bosses that actually require the player to micro there character. Hand-eye coordination is actually increased. By playing these types of games.
Not to mention the boss as well. He seemed like a pretty interesting character. And I always wondered how his character would be like if only he had more development.
I almost forgot to mention that I saw a a fully detailed fanart picture of this guy on DeviantArt. It looks pretty cool. Even better than the art from the manuel.
This was my favorite TMNT game along with TMNT 4 Turtles in Time! Those were simpler times! I remember sitting in front of my small Magnavox color t.v with a can of ice cold 7-up and a big bag of Doritos playing this, while daydreaming about the hottest girl in my class!
LOL...Not a fan of Doritos?...Shocking!! Hee, hee! I'd do the pizza thing on occasion. Although back then at the age of 15 I could only afford Totino's extra cheap pizza on my allowance! There was a little mom and pop hamburger shop I go to as well 'cause it was literally 20 feet from my house! Those were the days! Nes, good food and NO worries! Everything is so complicated today. I still wonder whatever happened to Angela Jane Gessler, the hottest girl in 8th grade!!, Thanks for your reply!!
observe how at 0:07 when you kick him, he runs to the right of the screen. if you're then quick enough to kick him before he gets there, he will try to run to the left. then you can kick him again and he'll run back. if you're fast enough to keep this up, he has no defense whatsoever. this behavior happens whenever you kick him in the middle of the screen
I definitely recall the floating ball-shaped device you destroy after you beat the boss. It's a weather maker from the cartoon. The stone warriors used one of those things to create some chaotic storms. Destroy it, and the weather is back to normal.
Tora, one of the new bosses to the first new level of this game, is really cool (no pun intended). I think the booklet of the game did a great job doing the two new levels and characters justice. An enjoyable fight.
the most easiest way is when he's about to catch an ice ball, u jump kick him and jump out of there. he'll try to catch another, so it's repeatable for a long time. (he stops at a time and comes out of the corner again, but when he goes back, u can start all over)
Why wasn't Tora the polar bear in the arcade version of this game and what would he have said before he fought you if he appeared in the arcade version of this game?
The level was a random bonus addition to the NES version along with the weird ninja den stage, they weren't in the Arcade version since this was made after it, but I guess it's pretty obvious.
He was created for the game, just like the boss of the dojo, Shogun. Their levels were created specifically for this port of the game, as a bonus, and they were no exception. I think the game's booklet does a good job doing justice to them.
it's a straight beat-em-up technique....i respect the method. definately fun. i, myself, aim to exterminate, taking the most minimal damge possible. you know, thinking of what's ahead.
Every time i fight bosses in this game, I'm usually yelling at the screen saying, WHY AREN'T U FLASHING RED YET OMG!" lmao xD

Sounds like an awesome way to relax, though if it were me. I'd have something other than Doritos. Maybe a nice Pizza or something like that lol.

Also note that "Tora" is the Japanese word for "Tiger".

this guy was tough though if you do a low jump kick to him as he picks up an ice block, you can stop the attack.
