  • Every time i fight bosses in this game, I'm usually yelling at the screen saying, WHY AREN'T U FLASHING RED YET OMG!" lmao xD

  • You know, as awesome as it is rewatching all those boss fightings and thinking I love them now, I remember when I was younger I HATE all of them.

  • I never saw Tora as a toy or in the animated series. Where the hell did he come from? O_o

  • I thought Tora was a polar bear... o_o

  • Done in only 1:44.........seemed like and eternity when I was 11 years old (LOL)

  • You will think I am nuts but this was my favorite out of the series, I don't know why it just is.

  • Who would've thought Tora was a arctic wolf.

  • Spudmackenzie*

  • tora is one ice cold badass.

  • I remember fighting that boss. He was pretty tough. This is a good example. Of bosses that actually require the player to micro there character. Hand-eye coordination is actually increased. By playing these types of games.

  • He's a pretty cool looking dude. Too bad he was just made up for the game.

  • YOU GOT FINGER BANGED BY A WOLF!!

  • Too bad they didn't put this level in the Arcade version.

  • Not to mention the boss as well. He seemed like a pretty interesting character. And I always wondered how his character would be like if only he had more development.

  • he looks cool. I'm straight, but I think he looks pretty attractive.

  • That's cool. I think he's attractive two. He looks pretty gangster with that black leather jacket and those boots.

  • i want to dress like him for Halloween and get lots of hot ladies!

  • Go for it, dude! What's stoppin ya?

  • I almost forgot to mention that I saw a a fully detailed fanart picture of this guy on DeviantArt. It looks pretty cool. Even better than the art from the manuel.

  • Dude check out my Streets of Rage work on Deviantart. The name is Mopbrothers there also!

  • i always thought this was panda kaan!

  • This was my favorite TMNT game along with TMNT 4 Turtles in Time! Those were simpler times! I remember sitting in front of my small Magnavox color t.v with a can of ice cold 7-up and a big bag of Doritos playing this, while daydreaming about the hottest girl in my class!

  • Sounds like an awesome way to relax, though if it were me. I'd have something other than Doritos. Maybe a nice Pizza or something like that lol.

  • LOL...Not a fan of Doritos?...Shocking!! Hee, hee! I'd do the pizza thing on occasion. Although back then at the age of 15 I could only afford Totino's extra cheap pizza on my allowance! There was a little mom and pop hamburger shop I go to as well 'cause it was literally 20 feet from my house! Those were the days! Nes, good food and NO worries! Everything is so complicated today. I still wonder whatever happened to Angela Jane Gessler, the hottest girl in 8th grade!!, Thanks for your reply!!

  • observe how at 0:07 when you kick him, he runs to the right of the screen. if you're then quick enough to kick him before he gets there, he will try to run to the left. then you can kick him again and he'll run back. if you're fast enough to keep this up, he has no defense whatsoever. this behavior happens whenever you kick him in the middle of the screen

  • Tora and Shogun, the bounty hunters. LOL

  • *walking* "Spring is here!" epic

  • lol I forgot about those low budget cutscenes.

  • After seeing this guy, I can only imagine how he'd look like if he was introduced in the arcade along with how his voice samples would be like.

  • Also note that "Tora" is the Japanese word for "Tiger".

  • I definitely recall the floating ball-shaped device you destroy after you beat the boss. It's a weather maker from the cartoon. The stone warriors used one of those things to create some chaotic storms. Destroy it, and the weather is back to normal.

  • The fourth boss is a polar bear in a biker jacket!

  • He's a cake walk

  • That jump/kick was overpowered

  • this guy was tough though if you do a low jump kick to him as he picks up an ice block, you can stop the attack.

  • Tora, one of the new bosses to the first new level of this game, is really cool (no pun intended). I think the booklet of the game did a great job doing the two new levels and characters justice. An enjoyable fight.

  • the most easiest way is when he's about to catch an ice ball, u jump kick him and jump out of there. he'll try to catch another, so it's repeatable for a long time. (he stops at a time and comes out of the corner again, but when he goes back, u can start all over)

  • Yaaaay, spring is here!

Gone are days of bitter cold and ice. Here are days of... allergies and violent storms...

    Yeah... thanks, Don.

  • The turtles will do anything in their power to stop the ever-menacing winter from coming upon us!

  • this brings back memories, i didn't finally beat this game until i was an adult and had my brother help me

  • Ah, years ago me and my brother would stay up all night playing this game. We always had trouble with this boss. Good video man.

  • I think Tora kicks ass! And normally I don't swear!

  • Why wasn't Tora the polar bear in the arcade version of this game and what would he have said before he fought you if he appeared in the arcade version of this game?

  • The level was a random bonus addition to the NES version along with the weird ninja den stage, they weren't in the Arcade version since this was made after it, but I guess it's pretty obvious.

  • lol well this was the 1st ever turtles game i ever played. and i still like it :) got it on mah comp in a NES emulator

  • @Jac2Mac If Tora were in the Arcade game, he'd probably say something like, "Chill out, Turtles!"

  • @davintheraven I think so two. Sounds quite fitting for this guy.

  • His ice-block throwing strategy annoyed me. He was just a liiitle hard. (I think Tora's on PCP or steroids or something.)

  • I remember this bastard...It took me forever to get past him when I was 8

  • tora? i dont remember HIM from the cartoon

  • He was created for the game, just like the boss of the dojo, Shogun. Their levels were created specifically for this port of the game, as a bonus, and they were no exception. I think the game's booklet does a good job doing justice to them.

  • god life was so simple back then

  • now u know when people talk about the "good ol days" you know what they're talking about

  • man this boss was hard but it took me like 2 tries to kill him

  • Well he as doing a good job even if he was recognizing the patterns about 50% of the time.

  • it's a straight beat-em-up technique....i respect the method. definately fun. i, myself, aim to exterminate, taking the most minimal damge possible. you know, thinking of what's ahead.

  • You must learn to master the patterns with more precise perfection...

I can give you some tips if you want to, for I LOVED that game and would be glad to help.

  • No thanks, I like to do things my way.

  • memories. I remember struggling with this boss back when I was in grade school.

  • He's a polar bear, and his name is Tora from what i've researched.

  • Okay, thanks, I'll name him Tora, then.

  • Sweet ass beat
