  • I think nsx can def do better with better launch and driving 13.8 smh this new nsx better at least run mid to high 11's

  • nsx is '97 tech.. vs the new M5 '07 tech

  • i think the nsx can take corners better than the m5.

  • id still take the nsx. i mean the luxury and hp is there for the bmw but the nsx is just a sexy ass car lol btw not a big honda fan

  • i can control my lunch. im a big boiii ^.^

  • @emretk lol "lunch control" ? I haven't heard of that feature before.

  • ohhh noooo that white car ist gay as fuck !

  • @emretk the m5 engine is already beat by this generation nsx with 550 hp.

  • nice race. I'd be happy w any of the two

  • It looks so much nicer than that new bimmer, what a great car.

  • That NSX had a shit driver

  • E60 M5 runs low 12's with an average driver and launch control..

  • Nah, i have a Toyota Corolla. Gets 40 MPG on the highway. I HATE BMW's! WAAAYYY overpriced. Ignorant people that want to show off buy crap BMW's. . For that price both of those cars should run 11's. Corvette Z06 would destroy both those on the drag strip and in a road course and it costs less. I'm American BTW.

  • @Reapers261 My adress is 4005 west 13th street Greeley Colorado. If you think you have real skill, and if you think BMW's are crap, stop by one day. My '69 BMW 2002TI and I will race you up the Big Thompson Canyon. I'll smoke you like a blunt.

  • 13's?! Is that all you get for 50,000$+?!

  • @Reapers261 And one of the sexiest cars to ever grace the earth, and something that can turn on a dime, and just the fact you own a ICON...

  • @Reapers261 The nsx was built in the 90's and it was built for handling. In japan, there was a 276 hp limit, so the nsx was built to be great in every other possible category.

  • @Reapers261 i hope your referring to the nsx.... the m5 is well over 100k

  • @SickE46 Yes, I was referring to the nsx when i said 50,000+.

  • @Reapers261 you can buy a m5 for 40k and a nsx for around 25k..

  • hey still not bad for a stock import. love the nsx. simple bolt ons will do a big difference to a nsx with the next 1/4 mile time. im guessing probably 12.7-13.0 thats just my opinion. cuz they do amazing thing even with boltons. because i seen some nsx with boltons, taking v8's. and no im not saying v8 cars suck. some do suck honestly but not all. hoefully some ppl will understand me. thanks
  • Whaouh 280cv vs 5?? = 0,6dixième!

  • simple SR20DET into S13 with "high boost" will rape both these cars. sad.

  • @humanisfood Yea cause if I had a choice of an NSX, M5, or a SR20 swapped S13, I would use the S13 as a coaster for the other 2.

  • driver sucks

  • @jrz316 considering its was 230hp vs 500hp the nsx was well driven

  • i hate bmw's i own a blk 91' acura nsx

  • wooooooooo go m5

  • m5 its nice car but not for drag races!

  • something doesnt seem right

    500hp shouldnt run that time

  • @ImpalaSS666 M5 had a bad jump, but it is still a 4000 pound car

  • Clean Video, Quality wise. I've own both cars, and the only thing that was off in terms of their times were the M5. It really should have ran High 12's. The NSX was consistent as usual with it's high 13's. Either way, Great clean Video.

  • That M5 looks awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hahaha hondda with the nsx kills the entyre history of bmw.go learn to make engines bmw they vanos are a copy of v tec but never vas good.

  • @adrianadam43 Mclaren F1 has BMW engine.

  • lol worst reaction times of all time. these guys suck dong

  • @mdpalmerNG write down the day you want it then.

  • great clean video of 2 extremely engineered machines

  • dayam, didnt nkow m5 is much slower than GTR, GTR .25/1 is 11/124

  • This NSX is the base model w/ only 230 hp/215 tq. It's probably stock (I read the info) and the time it posted was fast for a N/A SMALL 3.0 V6. The reason these cars were the SHIT in the 90's is because they didn't need turbo's or supercharger's, NSX's had high rev's, GREAT launches (Ask anyone) and weighed under 3,000 lbs. That's why ferrari's back in the day had trouble keeping up with these beastly machines on and off the track.

  • @ChrisdeKrazy base model? there were only 2 engines available in the nsx, first it had a 270hp 3l vtec 210lb.ft (auto had the same motor detuned to 250hp), and then in 97 it got a bigger 3.2l engine with 290hp with 225lb.ft.

there was never a 230hp version.

    but the rest is accurate.

  • haha the m5 doesn't run 11's buddy. How can you cut 2 seconds off ur time in the 1/4 by using launch control? Its not likely that will happen.

  • M5 driver needs to learn how to use his launch control, or he maybe had it in 400 HP setting, because this car runs 11,6-11,7 with no problems.

  • if you launch the m5 right itll run high 11's

  • terrible launch by the m5

  • Thats the first race Ive seen NSX lose on Youtube.

  • NA2 NSX-R runs 12.8 stock. Food for thought.

  • Very clear video. Thanks.

  • Maybe the weather sucked and high elevation. because the M5 is a 12 second car even with a bad launch

  • what is the song at the beginning??

  • i know nothing about drag racing or times, but just looking at the video I could tell both drivers messed up

btw, for what it's worth, on best motoring they showed that the nsx-r beats the e60m5 in a drag race.

  • I love both of these cars, but the E60 M5 should run 12.3-12.5 @ 115-116. What a shitty run for the E60 in this vid. They're heavy and hard to get off the line, but once they get moving, the 507 HP V10 is hard to beat!

  • @emretk the m5 is very heavy and if you use the lunch control more then 2 times in a year you void every warranty the car has

  • @DJBattou1 well thats just funny because Ive used the launch control more then 4 times in a year and my dealer knows and it hasnt voided my warranty..........so nice try.

  • @burritomaker69 then your dealer doesn't care to void it and i'm not trying to pull any thing so the nice try was more then unnecessary just saying what happens with the exception of you but thats a good thing

  • @DJBattou1 But its not just me............even the newer m3s dont void there warranties after using launch control after X number of times. Youre just trying to make the m5 look bad by saying it voids the warranty. when I purchased my m5 it was new and nowhere did it say anything about this, I even purchased it in another state then which I live in and that dealer didnt say anything either in fact I asked how launch control worked when test driving the exact m5 I own now and they said nothing.

  • @burritomaker69 Ok and i care why i'm not trying to make the m5 or m3 look bad your taking this way to personally. As for the dealer telling you that it does or does not void your warranty they don't need to. but like i said i really don't care your trying to start a fight over a very easy comment to respond to and making it personal. So MR.Taco bell rich boy let's recap 1.good for you 2. i don't care 3. grow up 4. you are the weakest and dumb napoleon complexed link good bye

  • @DJBattou1 the dealer even proceeded to let me launch the car using launch control in one of there empty dealer parking lots mind you it was the safer thing to do then on the street this is why they told me to do so. Now maybe im just an unfortunate guy and havent been told anything about any of this. Ive launched my car at least 30 times since I bought it new in march of this year and no problems have occurred nor has anyone told me anything.

  • 97+ NSX's should run 13.4 @ 106 with an average driver.

  • @tintprotector yeah but elevation and temperature takes a roll in times.

i have an ls2 gto and got beat by one the other day by a car length, they're fast cars.

but i also had 2 passengers, and didnt launch.

so i feel like it could have been a very close race with equal condtions, am i wrong?
