The people saying this interview is stupid and the questions are insulting, needs to think about the fact that there's new generations that need to be turned on to D.Johnstons music, therefore they ask him questions that (to you hardcore-fans) might seem a bit "simple". If people like Johnston's music, perhaps they'd be interested in knowing where he got it from, for researching purposes. Besides, it doesn't seem like Johnston is having a hard time talking about The Beatles in this interview

Daniel's "Das Beatles" crack was (unintentionally) pretty offensive, too...impersonating a German in Sweden was not the best idea. Again, you have to expect this kind of thing from Daniel at times, but any other artist would be expected to show the locals the courtesy of knowing what country he's in!

That's not fair. The interviewers didn't ambush Daniel...they almost certainly would have called and pre-arranged the interview, and expected - quite rightly - for Daniel to give serious answers to their questions.

Daniel's mood can be unpredictable, and the interviewers, through no fault of their own, fell victim to that. If it was anyone but Daniel acting like he did, his behaviour would be considered very rude indeed.

meet Daniel Johnston & just hang out with him for at least one day. I hope that comes true. Many interviewers just ask him the same stupid questions like, "Where did you start music?" & "How would you describe your music?'.

I think he realised halfway through that he was being rude and felt bad about it. His attitude changes towards the end for the better and he seems almost apologetic, which is just as well because I thought he came off pretty bad to begin with. I guess maybe he was in a bad mood and didn't feel like talking to anyone.
