This video is dated september 2009. When you want to know what can be done with cord blood please always look for more recent video's. For example Celebral Palsy is treated succesfully with childrens own cordblood and could not have been treated without it. Many other conditins are now treated with cordblood. Before you decide always check on the latest news.

Donate to the public cord blod banks. You can't use cord blood on the baby it came from. If a baby gets leukaemia, the cord blood will get it too (same blood as baby). Don't waste your money, donate it, and don't fall prey to the fear mongering of the private banks. Private banking is a great cash cow for the company but do your research and you'l find hardly any have been used to save the baby it belonged to. If you ever neded cord blood, there are global public banks for everyone to access.

You can also get the same "cord blood" from the pulp when you lose a baby tooth or get one pulled....look it up instead of wasting you money!

What this video isn't telling you is that banking cord blood intially costs a few thousand dollars. And then a yearly fee of a few hundred dollars after that. The average joe can't afford it. Really sad they charge so much.
