Think again and do some more research. You can update it, maybe not from Software Update at some points, but from releases by others with the updates for OSx86. 10.4.9 was released and JaS was quick in releasing 10.4.9 for fellow OSx86.
So, running Windows on a Mac is violation of copyright? OSx86 is future-proof and can show that Mac OS can run on a PC natively, just how that guy made Windows XP run natively on a Mac, with an illegal way behind it all. Microsoft didn't respond with a harsh lawsuit or anything for allowing their software to boot up on Macs, so Apple wouldn't do it either as a fair agreement, because then Apple would be an evil company.
