Call me corny, but I don't care. I may be a man, but I'm a hopeless romantic who is a sucker for a happy ending. Patrick Duffy and Victoria Principal have such wonderful chemistry here. I guess, that's why I completely bawled during what happened next.
caseyblue224, I agree with you 100% that Patrick Duffy is sooo great at scenes like this where he's gotta do what his heart tells him and he's in love. This is my all time favorite Bobby and Pam scene on Dallas. LOL IMO Patrick Duffy is an awesome actor.
I am so pissed that Victoria Principle never came back to Dallas. Even in the three TV Movies, Larry Hagman was pissed when she left the way she did. He felt the series needed her help as the ratings where falling and she left. I guess he never forgave her. Lets face it, it was all about what Larry wanted even in real life. Bobby and Pam Forever
Einsof13, I am also very upset that Victoria Principal never came back to Dallas. I don't blame her for walking away from the show after season 9 becuase of how the writers wrote for Pam after Pam woke up from her dream. The storylines got dumber when Larry Hagman got control of the show. Bobby and Pam forever.
@Einsof13 I know there are VP fans here, but I think she is an arrogant, self-righteous blowhard. On the one hand, she was/is NOTHING without Dallas. Sure, she has that skin-care garbage, but where did she earn the money to start that? Dallas. There is this "I am too good for Dallas, too good for them" attitude that pervades her comments. VP always thinks people are "after her in some way" - trying to "con" her into association with THAT show or forcing her to be ogled in a bikini. Irritating!
annettefen2, I agree that Patrick Duffy and Victoria Principal have amazing together. When I was younger I always thought that Patrick Duffy and Victoria Principal were married to each other in real life because of their awesome chemistry on the show. LOL
I know that this sounds cheesy but I cried at this episode. The proposal, the crash, the death, etc. As far as I'm concerned, they were a far more romantic couple than JR & Sue Ellen. The reason why "those" two were together was that they were "damaged" goods and needed to hold each other up.
laminage, I agree that Bobby and Pam were far more romantic than JR and Sue Ellen. I was shocked how many people like JR and Sue Ellen over Bobby and Pam over on the Ultimate Dallas website. I cry everytime I watch the episode Swan Song. This is my favorite episode of Dallas.
I'll give Pam her props. I have Season 1 & 2 and when I think about how The Ewings treated her in the early days, it disgusted me. The one episode I remember the most was when Bobby & Pam go to the Disco and run into Lucy with that Boy and even when Pam tried to be nice to Lucy, Lucy treated her like crap. I think that for Lucy the idea of someone being genuinely nice to her was way beyond her comprehension. After all, her parents weren't there for her, why would a stranger be?
I LOVE Bobby and Pam in the mini series. I agree that Pam was soo nice to Lucy in the episode Lessons and Lucy treated Pam like crap BUT eventually Pam and Lucy became good friends.
This scene is bittersweet. I love that they are getting back together, but dread what is to ensue after it. Bobby dies, and Mark returns. All I can say is, thank God the bad part of this episode turned out to be a dream.
I loved them, they were perfect for each other. Bobby said they did not have to live a South Fork , so why the helll!!!!!!!!! did they go back there. They should have been written out when they got remarried by moving far away fron South Fork.

Was that Hulk Hogan out in the car?

It was Katherine Wentworth in that car. One of the few people who was infatuated with Bobby that he was shot by her the season before this!
