Dream Theater is really not for everybody. My friends love them, but i just couldn't adapt...at least not so far. To me 1/3 of a song is great (like the riff of this song) but then it just goes mediocre...quite predictable in the sense that i know i wont really enjoy.

This song for instance pumps you up at the beginning but then just let's you stand there with your dick all floppy.

Musically they are top notch, but i just can't relate to their songs.

Everyone complains about LaBrie's voice and performance, but I don't think he's that bad. Actually, I can't imagine another voice on Dream Theater - songs like In the name of God, Dying Soul, Hollow Years, etc. wouldn't be so good without him. The problem is that LaBrie is just a good singer and the rest of the band is simply sick awesome.

@db89chesse haha no my friend, Labrie is an incredible singer. The problem is he was a stubborn bastard and sung non stop after he screwed up his voice and should of been resting. For a man who has almost destroyed his voice twice, its a miracle he can still sing at all, and atm he's really good again.
