@McShieldBash O2 Dublin, November 4th, 2011. Freaking Josh nailed all the songs there too. All he needs is time to mould in with the band. Even John was terrible for Mother's Milk, he sounded like a rip-off version of Hillel. The next Chilis album will be fantastic. Not as good a BSSM, but better than anything since One Hot Minute anyways.

@nicofermin Well, I think it was their worst, just generally. The production quality was poor, the bass unappealing, the guitar too distorted and metally, and the vocals just bad. But you know what? 1 and a half years later, they made one of the greatest albums of all time in my opinion. The guitar work was massively improved. The only thing that'll happen is Josh will get better, both as a guitarist and as part of the band. But yeah, props to John for Mother's Milk, great work for an 18 yo.

@OptimisticNihilistic But remember that RHCP were in a kind of transition. I think MM is a great album, but of course BSSM is way better, with a different texture. As you do, I think that the first album of a new era is not the best, because as you said, Josh still has lots of things to learn, but he's an amazing musician, and I'm sure the next album will be better, though I really like I'm With You, and I think they've made a great job!

@OptimisticNihilistic Mothers milk was a great album and is 10x better than im with you. I think josh is a great guitarist too and i'm with you on the molding thing that you were talking about. Hes just not John Frusciante though. Josh did not stand out on i'm with you hardly at all. the album is all flea for the most of it. John stands out a lot more than josh and is a better guitarist that is a fact my friend.

@CJmili Well it's not surprising that Josh didn't stand out on I'm With You. The mixing is atrocious, just like it was on One Hot Minute and, to a lesser extent, Mother's Milk. Listen closely to the guitar work in Meet Me At The Corner, it's amazing. And the solo from Goodbye Hooray? Fantastic. Listen to what he does live for the Californication solo. Josh is a far, far better guitarist than you give him credit for.

@McShieldBash Stop. Being. Sad. About. John. He is still making music that is better than even the RHCP. His solo music is so freaking awesome and one of the reasons he left RHCP was to focus on it. Be grateful.
