@WestHamMK Thing is with Rocky, his hard hits would often land. Whereas other boxers are known to have a very hard punch but you rarely see it happen in the ring. Also you look at Rocky's KO stats, that's an obvious sign that he's a hard hitter :)
A 28 Year old Walcott would have won, the fact that he was winining at the time proves that. Older fighters can still punch and be dangerous foes .Age unfortunatly, slows the reflexes, as is clearly illustated with the knockout.. It just needs a split second difference in reaction, and thought, as with younger fighters too. But no matter how skillfull you are, father time takes it's toll with the delay of the thought relaying through to the punch.
Critics of Marciano say he never fought anyone of high calibre. Excuse me, but Wolcott fought the best fight of his career against him. Ezzard Charles was a superb fighter, actually elite. People who say Ali would have beaten Marciano grossly underestimate his skills. Marciano's aggressive, relentless style and punishing body blows would have disrupted Ali's finess.
You didn't even answer a simple fuckin question. Damn, ya'll some drama queens when you get a fighter you like. Answer my simple question or don't fuckin message me.
I am a big Marciano fan. However I have to admit that Jersey Joe was a boxing genius who was giving a boxing clinic until He was hit with rocky's sunday punch.
Walcott fought a stupid fight. He knocked Marciano down in the first, and then thought he could outpunch him. He got hammered and beaten down. Outside of running Marciano with a truck, you couldn't stop him. Walcott did much better when he moved, but he only started doing this when he was already beaten up. If he did that from the first round, he might have won.
Liston didn't fight in the 70s. Frazier wouldn't have a been a problem. Ali had trouble with fighters that leaned back and punch (c.f. Foley, Norton). Foreman would have been a cool fight. Foreman was huge, strong and could take a good punch, but incredibly slow. Hard to say, really who would win in those fights, except I don't think Frazier would have much of a chance. Weak to average chin, on handed fighter, against a great chin and two hands.
hardest hitter ever? im not sure

Great boxer marciano, but i think he woudlnt of kept his record of undefeated if he fought in the Seventies (golden era).
They were just too good (Ali,Frazier,Foreman,Liston.etc).
