Rocky is the most famous film to take place in Philly, even getting on the level of the average Joe at the time, taking place in Kensington, a working class neighborhood. So many films were made in LA and New York- this is really the city's big modern claim to fame.
And for the record, Philly cheesesteaks from Geno's and Pat's are overrated. Many other places in Center City, South Philly and the NE do better

For starts, Philadelphia is a great place to be- We have high-rep'd colleges, Drexel, Temple, Penn State, Villanova (the Big Four), as well as others within the Greater Philly area. We aren't anywhere dirty, either- PHL airport was awarded to being one of the best in the US, and our water supply is probably one of the cleanest.
Granted, yes the fans tend to be crazy drunkards that assault Santa Claus, but at least we take pride in our sports teams. As for the assault part, it could be anyone..
