OK, this is why I think she divorced him - I could be totally wrong, but here goes: at that young age, she knew intuitively that she was gonna take off and become a very successful businesswoman/artist (clothing & luggage line, new album, that new TV show where she travels the world studying Beauty, etc. etc.) She needed to do that on her own. She needed to BE HER OWN WOMAN - completely free and unfettered by a husband who, I think, was jealous of her success and tried to cramp her style.
you might be right on the fact that she was too young/immature to be married but i don't think nick was jealous of her success at all. there is a video where she cries and mentions trying to speak to nick. it seems that nick didn't want anything to do with her anymore but i could be wrong also. maybe she cheated as the rumors say and tried to apologize but he wasn't forgiving.
