  • thank u David Lanz & Paul Speer for bringing this great music. For 20 yrs now, still giving me goosebumps!

  • Narada Festival on Mexico City!!!!??? I must been there!!! Thanks for posting... I love Narada Music.

  • Hey Paul, been listening to you for 24 years and still goin' strong! I have a question regarding "Sculptures": "Was it ever recorded live and has it ever been posted here on YouTube. It holds special value to me as I would listen to it while I was testing motorcycles at triple digits; hence I was dubbed my handle. My associates could never figure out why I could ride so smoothly in timing and execution. While they would all be bangin' away Metal I was in the zone with you guys...;)

  • @TheZenRider1 Sorry to say we never worked up Sculptures to play live.... thanks for asking and your support over the years.

  • Awesome!!!!. Such beautiful music. Great medley.

  • thanks Paul for sharing this live video for us

  • durin the "boom" of Narada and Private Music relases from 1988 to 2001 I worked at a record store... "Natural States" was a huge sales success in México City. Im glad and proud you guys choosed to shoot a show here in my city. Thanks for sharing.

By the way, Im very interested in get the "Trapezoid" record, it was a Narada relase from 1990 I guess. does Narada stills selling that back catalog??

  • @rodstewartmexico Narada is owned by EMI and the label is more or less in "mothballs." They have discontinued most of the physical catalog so I think your best bet is to look on eBay and used record stores that have an online presence. I remember that album but don't think I ever heard it. Good luck!

  • This is fabulous music Paul:I saw the other one with the pictures and this one now:it's a privilege to watch you all play and to hear these incredible sounds.Beautifully played:I'm applauding as well.

  • @rodstewartmexico No They stopped selling a lot of there back catalog

I think Theyre only sold as MP3s on Itunes

  • beautiful!!!

  • Hey Paul, I wandered into this video, after you sent me the new link to your great "Accelerator" release, and enjoyed seeing and hearing you and Wally on stage again, had a Stone Garden flash back. Listening to Hells Canyon in Hells Canyon ,

  • @lochsalad Thanks for dropping by with the nice feedback, Kelly.

  • This is the song I decided will be played at my funeral. It is the closest I've been to heaven, several times, while listening to it. My Mom's favorite as well, while watching a beautiful sunrise in Key West. God bless you guys.

  • You originally recorded "Behind the Waterfall" one year before I was born; I distinctly remember hearing this song when I was little and requesting my mom to turn up the volume! There's just something about the flute in the original version that takes me to a special place, even today. Thank you, and a warm hug from Mexico!

  • @jcferrer18 Thanks for sharing this regarding your relationship to the music when you were a child. Very cool.

  • I'm applauding too:that was a fabulous performance:you can "feel" the music here.I loved it:you were all fantastic.

I liked the buddhist thank you at the end too:a virtuoso piece of music.

    Thanks very much.

  • Paul, can you tell me what keyboard is used for the background pads? They sound so lush!!! I love it! I see David is on the DX-7!! :) I believe Ray Lynch used it for Celestial Soda Pop.

  • @MichaelGunnMusic That is the string patch on a Prophet VS. I've had that keyboard since 1987 and use it all the time. It is a favorite of Trent Reznor's, too.

The patch on the DX7 is Celtic Harp and I think you are correct about Ray Lynch.

  • @paulspeer1 Cool! Although when I compare the album version to this performance it sounds like the left hand part is not the Celtic Harp patch, only the right hand is. Do you recall what patch the left hand is using?

Is the Prophet used in Eagle's Path?? and the synth vocals in it too? One more question, what is that module mounted above the DX-7? I imagine it was used for other songs in that performance. I'd love to see more! THANKS!! I love YouTube! -I can communicate with my favorite artists.

  • Thank you Thank you. I regret never seeing a live concert from you, now I have the next best thing. Even your recorded video has positive energy flowing outwards. Namaste' my friend. Love and light to you.

  • @Manventure1 We only did this one major North American tour and Mexico City was one of the last stops. Nice that it was recorded.

  • Hi, Paul. I never expected to see this song performed live -- and am

especially surprised how much you conveyed with merely four artists!

Your guitar is especially intriguing. Though I don't play, could I ask

who made it? (I wonder if you still use it) Best wishes, as ever, ~Terry

  • @BocaFriend That guitar was made by Charvel and I sold it a few years ago as it was only needed for that tour. It looks like an electric but sounds like an acoustic. The electric I usually play is also a Charvel and still use it.

  • Thanks Paul for share this video. That was a magical night. What a memories. Regards from Mexico City. Gracias!!!

  • Beautiful work

  • Thank you so much for posting this video, Paul. The music is lovely, so relaxing and evocative.

  • a true classic

  • awesome!!!

  • Hello Paul, what a treat!!!! This was the very first piece I ever heard from you and has been on top favorites ever since!

    Thanks for uploading these gems!!

    Love Christel

  • @christel2846 You're welcome, Christel. I've received so many views of their original videos that I thought it would be good to share a live performance.

  • Christel -- thanks for returning my Eagle's Path breadcrumb trail

by placing me Behind the Waterfall. This was also my seminal

Speer/Lanz sound experience. I've been a New Age listener from

that point forward! Looking forward to your next Speer video! love, ~T
