Thanks for the tips! I just realized that I sort of gravitate [subconsciously, until now!] toward this type of shopping/wardrobe building because it just works. Whenever I go off on a fashion rabbit trail, I tend to lose my way, and end up with a closet full of clothes that just don't go together, or else spend a lot of money trying to buy pieces to go with everything. [sometimes both!!]

My PET PEEVE is these [often beautiful] trendy colors that never match anything I have.... great advice!

It think the best tip on how to save money is to THINK before you buy. If you see something you like, don't buy it immediately, go home or just visit 2 or three other stores. Then after you've had your mind off it for a while, think about it again. If you really want it, you can buy it but a lot of the time I think you'll realize you don't need another shirt, bag, jeans etc... and you can save up the money for something more expensive and precious.

bluetones, white nd black are cold..
