  • souded like carlin is the m.c.

  • McCartney's solo career was 90% shit. But before his ego got the best of him, he made beautiful music with the Beatles.

  • one of the greatest song writers of all time...although I have always been in lennon's corner, i have a great appreciation for what paul has done for music. he is right up there with john lennon, roger waters, bob dylan, and the presenter himself, neil young.

  • sex pistols: hall of fame is a piss stain

  • Great testimony by Neil

  • I prefer a Beatle to introduce Paul like George Harrison or Martin

  • @JOE11096 or ringo ..

  • hahah neil, yesterday, today and tomorrow! he's punny

  • Read it again and take your time.Sound out each word.

  • Honestly vcx9, Who licked the red off of YOUR candy? Neil is a wonderful guy who expresses himself all heart and soul. Not to mention that he is a great song writter, a master at electric and acustic guitar. He has an remarkable sense of humor that rarely gets noticed. You might want to check yourself and find out if you really know anything at all. Sheessshhhh!

  • @vcx9dfne look in the mirror..he's not an idiot..

  • These 2 men have written some of the most heartfelt melodies of all time....

  • doesn't show up to be inducted with the beatles, but he DOES show up for his own induction...smh

  • @handsomerube remember that during the time where the beatles were inducted, they were in a eternal legal conflict and paul didn't want to be next to them pretending that everything was fine, despite being him the reason of those lawsuits, he'd started them

  • @handsomerube 11 years later

  • its funny how he didnt incude ringo in the talk about the beatles

  • Neil young inducting Paul Mc C artney. Worzel Gummage he aint

  • Neil Young inducts Paul Mc Cartney .This guy is real .Worzel Gummidge can,t play or write music like these guys

  • Paul McCartney is NOT FUCKING DEAD

.i dont know why people believe rumors so easily .

  • @jayven009 because there dumb sheep who have to follow something dumb like the Chuck Norris crap or the 240 pixels we meet again shit anything stupid they will follow, what a society we live in if it ain't that it's homophobes or racists who think because there straight everyone else should be or should die or if there a certain color everyone else should be that color, so it's the same old shit dumbasses and evil racist homophobes fucks out number everyone else

  • Faul. Believe it.

  • @SaintJorge304 i hate to think about it. but really, if faul is real... hes a damn good bassist and writer himself eh?

  • @88Lyndsie yeah, he would have written hey jude, helter skelter, oh darling, and let it be. so, even so, he's an awesome musician, possibly even better

  • @44t56 And you're just scratching the surface of Paul McCartney's prolific songwriting list.. Many songwriters are glad for one or two great ones, McCartney had how many? Do the math let me know the answer!

  • @nat00ben06 This is about Faul, unless you've never heard of him either. In fact, McCartney wrote 601 of the Beatles' songs, and that's WITH EVERYTHING POST CARCRASH. The discussion was that Faul, even if it isn't McCartney, still wrote some pretty fuckin awesome songs

  • @44t56 Well, well thanks for breaking that down for me that is a lot of songs. I have a question for you that I'm wondering what or who you're reffering to who is Faul do you mean Paul?

  • @nat00ben06 "Faul" is referring to the theory that Paul McCartney died in a 1967 car crash, and that he was replaced by a look-alike to keep people from panicking (Fake+Paul= Faul). So, the discussion was that even if Faul were real, he still would have written masterpieces, after 1967 and so on

  • @44t56 Man that is so stupid, do you and anyone that believes that theory realize how stupid that sounds. No McCartney did not die, yes he's alive and he wrote all those songs. The ridiculous things some people come up with it just astounds me! Yea and when a tree falls in the forest and no ones around to hear it doesn't make a sound, Faul dude that is dumb!

  • @nat00ben06 I never said that I believed in it. Did you listen to me? I said the THEORY!!!! Nowhere did I say I believed that crap. Geez, you don't need to be a complete dickfucker about this

  • @44t56 You believe it, another theory conspiratore,,,,,dick washing, butt licker how's that butt cheese taste? Yummy!

  • @nat00ben06 Your mom's tasted pretty disgusting, but that's probably because you boned it first, you sick, oedipus-complexed little fuckbag. And I DO NOT believe in that crap, but I do like a good story. Remember though, you made this personal, you tiny-penised little shitface

  • @44t56 Please direct all your brilliant compliments to me personally don't let the whole world know your true colors. Are you a 9/11 conspiratore? Maybe that really is Faul that wrote all those songs I never met Paul or Faul so who I'm I to speak? Tough guy no need to bring others into this when I want all your love just for ME!

  • @nat00ben06 sorry, didn't realize your yone there. yeah he wrote 300 in the beatles, around 600 total

  • Paul has SO MANY accomplishments to be so very proud of and yes, Neil was right to acknowledge what a fantastic job he and Linda did of raising a family through those times some people would refer to and look down upon as "the drug years." They most definitely did a lot of things right and Paul is a man I admire, respect, and love very, very much. He's simply AMAZING.

  • great speech by Neil off the top of his head....thanks for posting

  • Are you crazy, vcx9dfne??? Nothing that Paul ever wrote after the Beatles could compare with the products of his songwriting partnership with John!

  • @atwtgirl1 disagree both great people they both pushed each other to write great music

  • @atwtgirl1 Paul >>>>>> John. Not even close.

  • Yep. Best songwriter of the century. Nothing against John, of course, but it was really Paul.

  • RUSH you fools

  • I really wish Neil would take a good look at Ron Paul .... dammit.

  • @zumadale Why's that..? lol?

  • @eragon2121 Cuz I really think he'd love Ron Paul ... seems like a lot of "us" hate that big "R" next to any politicians name. But Ron Paul really does love Liberty and Freedom and can't be bought off (this note's for you).

  • @zumadale Yeah, I know, I'm a Paul supporter myself, just seemed kind of random lol.

  • Very nicely done ...Old Man

  • Is that Robbie Robertson doing the voice over?

  • @Cannibalization Yes it is!

  • Paul asked Neil to give his induction speech. Paul has said that Neil Young reminds him of John more than any other musician.

  • oh *fuckin tears of happiness*

  • love how he says a marrage of talent comming together because once when john was doing a concert he performed a song that paul wrote and said "this goes out to an estranged fiance of mine called paul"

  • Beautiful. Wonderful. I liked Neil's speech. Very funny guy. He wasn't reading or referring to any notes as far as I could tell. He was speaking from the heart; off the top of his head; trying to remember little things that revealed what an affect the Beatles had on him as a musician/songwriter. That's cool he was chosen to induct Paul. Mick Jagger was chosen to induct the Beatles in 1994 - that was perfect too.

  • money a beatles song? I'm sure barrett strong, berry gordy and the Motown Corp would disagree with that. you really got a hold on me wasn't a miracles tune either, right? imitation is the sincerest form of flattery I guess...

  • neil and paul in one video. fuuuuuuuuuckin epic

  • McCartney is the fucking man!

  • 5:22 I cried so hard :( RIP Linda McCartney

  • It took the world until 1999 to induct Paul? Wow v

  • Yes!

  • im cryyyyyying paul i love you so much

  • Comment removed

  • 5 years too late. Paul should of been inducted in ' 94 with John. The 2 GREATEST songwriters ever !!!!

  • @jimkos33 he was inducted in 88 with john but refused to go as he was in a legal battle with yoko. paul as great as he is never had the solo success of john so took longer to get solo induction

  • @MrEwant1980 ... Wrong ! . The "Beatles" were inducted in '88, the first year they were eligible. Paul did Boycott that induction because of feud & legal reasons with Yoko. They were both eligible for "Solo" careers in 1994.Paul did speak at Johns '94 induction, remember it well.

  • @jimkos33 Oh Really? I just watched Paul's induction speech for John. Get your facts straight but, I may have read your response wrong.

  • @MrEwant1980 wow you know nothing. Everything you just said is completely wrong. Just remember to not say anything next time so you seem smarter. FYI if paul wasnt as successful, then why is he in the record books as the most successful songwriter of all time you fucking retard. You deserve a bitch slap

  • @MrEwant1980 You better stop smoking or sniffing or shooting whatever it is that's making you stupid. You couldn't be more wrong than you are. Are you hallucinating these so called facts?

  • @jimkos33 I totally agree... he should have been FIRST!

  • never realized that. obscene.

  • @changeofaddress1

sad but True ! ... my response to chapaev36 is "you are a Tone Deaf MORON" !!!

his Solo Career is Equal or SUPERIOR to ANYONE, including John & George

  • man, i'd be so honored if Neil Young just showed up, let alone give a 5 mintue speech. some people dont know greatness even if its staring at their sorry eyes.

  • What gets me with this speech is the way Neil relates to the British groups of the time, Beatles, Stones, The Who and yet these groups themselves were influenced by American starts like Little Richard, Chuck Berry and Elvis. It's cool.

  • Why didn't he prepare a speech?! WHO THE HECK CARES?! It's Neil Young for crying out loud! Doesn't bother me one bit. Thank you for the "casual" speech Neil.

  • I just a comment of something like: ''everytime I see Neil Young I think he's about to kill himself'', and I don't know why I laugh so hard

  • I feel kinda great to know that the cafeteria Neil is talking about is the cafeteria i visit pretty much everyday. Too bad Kelvin High School kinda sucks now.

  • and notice at the end of the video it says "with John Lennon, and then with Ringo, he's remained true to the message......" uh, what about George Harrison? He didn't remain true to the message that in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make?

  • @TheTestingGrounds Actually he said "and then with Linda", meaning Paul's other musical partner.

  • It sounds like Robbie Robertson narrating the video.

  • 'Saw Paul and his totally rocking band in Toronto last year. THAT GUY ROCKS SO HARD....as much as a 21 year old. God Save Paul McCartney!

  • a great award mister William campbell

  • @SuperSchism Sir Paul is not and has never been dead.

  • Paul McCartney should have been inducted in 1994 or 1995, together with or right after John Lennon. It was a shame he had to wait until1999. Indeed it was 'about fucking time'.

  • Paul McCartney makes me proud to be a Human Being.

  • @billycmo ...and then he did X-Factor!:(

  • @comanchio1976 Naaaa Did he really?

  • @billycmo Unfortunately he did...and low, the angels did weep!

  • @billycmo I agree McCartney is amazing, but that comment has to be one of the most nonsensical I've seen on YT. What the hell could you possibly mean?

  • @billycmo Paul was/is great! I saw/heard him with Linda and Wings sometime in the early 80's...WOW! What a super show! Probably the coolest version of "Live And Let Die' ever done. They were amazing, and to anyone who thinks that Linda couldn't hold her own, find a bootleg of some of those shows. It'll surprise you. It surprised the hell outta me. She was really good-of course the rest of the band was really GREAT! YEAH!

  • why didn't he prpeare a speech?

  • @Stube437 I think he is funny, dry, but funny.

  • Neil born 1945 and I believe a high school drop out. Wouldn't he have been too old to have did what he says at the beginning of his induction?

  • Great Word for the Greatest!

  • Two living legends!

    Thank you

  • Paul had the best speech ever- paying tribute to the other 3 but especially John who was so tragically killed

  • Sounds like Robbie Robertson narrating the montage.

  • Oh my Gosh, Neil! What a lovely introduction; Everyone hates boring and unfelt intros, and yours was uplifting, witty and soo truthful. Lovely!

  • hadn't seen that, real nice Neil intro. very well spoken intro. if you ask me, and the piece on Paul just fine, thumbs up for uploading my friend.

  • 1999 i guess.

  • @AlexRox yes this was Paul's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 1999 separate from The Beatles induction in 1988

  • when was this?

  • Neil and Paul. Two greats!
