@YoBravaFrumAnuvaMuva A solid prenup and considered planning with ones accountant and atty would shrink that "50%". A woman will never get her paws on my filthy lucre d:)
This is true about guns. Even if you say ok I'll only use guns for catching prey to eat, food. Soon you would kill so many animals that, for awhile you would have more than enough to eat, but eventually your prey would go extinct. This is because guns take the survival of the fittest out of the equation. Now its he with the biggest gun wins. A la arms race
Many years ago during the Christmas holiday, I asked my husband if there was anything in particular he wanted and his reply to me was, "What difference does it make? I am paying for it anyway". That's the day I decided to earn my own money and it was also the beginning of the end of our marriage. I have no regrets in spite of being stressed out at work. Honestly, I cannot see myself ever being financially dependent on a man again.
this arguement fails to include single mothers or women who are single and choose to be single which is 51% of american women these days... by this logic only women who are working and raising kids are stressed... what about women who are single which is now the majority in the US... more women are not having kids, shouldnt they be getting happier as it doesnt give them stress?
that was long rant which to me resembles an attempt to prove how the planets rotate around the flat Earth in the center. i think one sentence in the beginning was it: women go to work AND do most of the [unpaid] work around the house and children. so the solution is obviously for men to share some more of the unpaid toilets cleaning around the house, NOT make insane claims that "women do not want but r forced to work, and feminists are socialists who also want more Muslims in Europe." <-- ROFL.
women fell for the delusion that they are more valuable in the workforce than taking care of the children and the household. The results? women are more stressed with the dog eat dog "outside world"... so they also now are less healthy... On top of it... the children now are imbalanced because they no longer grow up with their mother at home... so all of society is breaking down even though women are making more money.
Great work Stefan. Can you give more examples from the historical record to back up your reasoning? There's been a surge in women entering the workforce in the last 10 years, Ireland that is, now large debt has been forced onto us. There's a lot of broke people here and in Greece,Spain,Portugal. An example of state theft. Anarchism will stop state thieving and release us from burdens. So there.
The new jobs will not have nearly as much capital investment as the old jobs.
Left alone, this would correct itself, but as Stefan points out, the tax man comes and siphons off the money needed to invest in the workforce.
There is nothing sexist about this effect, just simple economics. You would get the same result today if ~150 million adults immigrated to the US in just a few years.
@jeffiek The factors Stefan mentioned are real, but I believe overstated. He does not mention the capital investment versus productivity.
Labor, without capital, isn't worth much. It takes investment to support productivity/wages. When available labor increases much faster than capital ( as in women entering the workforce ) the ratio decreases and the average salary must go down.
The men already have the jobs supported by capital. Guess which ones the women get.
They try to live a fantasy life they see through celebrities on television and movies. Since they can't look as good or live in a mansion like the celebrities they are unhappy and blame everyone in their path for why they are not living an unrealistic lifestyle.
Some of you women: Men are usually really smart, and supposed to be stronger. Some Men: sometimes women think (better) than us. And (sometimes) have more common sense
Right, so just because women are allowed to work that automatically means men should take advantage of that? Maybe the fault isn't in the removal of gender restrictions. Maybe some common curtesy should be shown by some spouses as to doing their fair share of the work. A woman in the workforce has nothing to complain about if the man is at home doing all the chores and looking after the kids.
Stephen, I think you nailed it but this was over 3 years ago now, since then it is even worse because while we need 2 incomes, there are no jobs! Women also still make .80 cents per dollar a man makes for the same job. This is what the job market is like now= 2 degrees and 70 applications in 7 states- no interview yet.
@TheeLynnChase women make 80 cents for every dollar a man makes, because men take the harder jobs, they are more goal oriented, and they are less likely to F around at work. they are also the first ones to die in a must die situation, they dont get pregnant and take leave, they are the ones making all the hard decisions, blah blah blah. its harsh, but true.
@judesama11 I said, "women make .80 cents for every dollar a man earns FOR THE SAME JOB. Not a "harder job". Your mama must have been ignorant too since she obviously raised a poster child for the Misogenists of America Club. Men F around less at at work? Where did you come up with that stat? Making all the hard decisions? What century were you born in? I would like to meet that guy! The only think you wrote that is true was "blah blah blah" you should stick with that.
@judesama11 i would, but number 1, i see it in the work place all the time, 2, women take paid vacation for having a baby which is not the companies business, 3, maybe i should have sticked with blah blah blah, but i dont really speak feminist, so sorry, 4, if thats all you have is to insult me with mom jokes, you better quit now, cause even with 2 degrees and 70 applications later, it hasent dawned on you that companies need workers who can think logically and not resort to mom jokes.
@judesama11 You are the one that used "blah blah blah" not me moron. You obviously work at McDonalds cause that is a hard job for someone like you. I haven't heard your kind of misogenistic rhetoric since maybe never. You take the cake. You can't even think of a snappy come back. Paid vacations for having a baby? Thats a good one. Like having a baby is a vacation? It takes two to make a baby, so should the woman be punished twice? lose money and suffer physically and financially? MORON!
@TheeLynnChase ok, here is the truth of your 80 cents theory. women take less demanding, less stressful, less time consuming jobs. besides, if child rearing is so hard, why put that demand on your life?? stop complaining about the results you chose. putting DVDs into the player and sitting back is not a hard job talk to the men who are shaking hands with the devil as the drill to the center of the earth. and mcDs... nope, work in japan teaching english, nice try failure. got a job yet??
@judesama11 hey moron, Is it MY video? helloooo anybody home??? Stephan did the video not me, hence it is not my theory. It is in fact not a theory at all but a fact. I have owned my own businesses and always made my own money jerk off. The woman I was referring to with the 2 degrees and 27 applications has a juris doctorate and only recently got a job. My best friend used to teach English in Japan and got paid a fraction what a man gets paid 4 same job like thats a stressful job? Try again Pig
@TheeLynnChase and just one more thing while im having my way with you. it takes 2 to make a baby.... WRONG!! in the age were women have 11 forms of birth control other than the pill and the choice of abortion, it takes a women to have a baby. men have a condom only. so just because daddy didnt pay attention to you when you were a kid doesnt mean you get prego and have a kid to get all that attention for your ego. its another life. and women treat them like shit. ok, im done, your up next.
@judesama1-1 I never had children moron. You assume so much. Shows what little intelligence you have. Sounds like you have some serious MAMA issues. Whats the matter, bottle fed? Mommy wouldn't let you suckle her titties? Teaching English in Japan. Of my that takes a big strong man like you! No woman could handle such a stressful undertaking! lol I klied in Japan for 3 years. Tansho!
@judesama11 PS. You couldn't have your way with me if you were the last man on the planet. GROSS!!!!!!! Tansho means YOU HAVE A SMALL TOOL. for those that do not speak Japanese. Little man doth protest too much. Me thinks he has small tool that can not please a woman. Hence he trys to belittle them to make himself feel like he is stronger than he really is. Baby man.
@TheeLynnChase i have noticed that after i have put facts in front of you, all you do is throw 3rd grade insults my way about my cock. didnt know you were stalking me. i guess i do have a small penis compared to the cave you have between your legs. if we had sex, my "tansho" (at least you know how to use google) would be like throwing a bee bee down a hallway. no wonder your bitter. born with a huge cunt. oh well, we all cant be perfect. how is that job search going btw ya deadbeat bitch?
@judesama11 you seem to have a fascination for the female organ. I bet you tortured little animals when you were a kid too. I starred at the Tokyo Hilton, not Google moron, wrong again. It is you that started this with your ignorance. I am entitled to my opinion. Although, I am sure you wish that women would not be allowed one of those. Your repulsiveness knows no bounds. I own my business, have always been successful, and as a former model I have no insecurites regarding my wear with all. zya
@TheeLynnChase of course i have a fascination with the female organ!!! im a man! its natural. unfortunatly for you, you sell jungle bullshit. i sell intelligence. and i make quite a pretty penny. i could probobly buy and sell you, but i dont hire slackers. and its funny that you know what tansho means. probobly your fetish. no wonder you were in japan! i love the fact you get to speak your mind, especially when i get to make fun of it. and a model?? insecurity my ass, attention whore.
@TheeLynnChase oh, one more thing, you still havent given me reasons and statistics to back up what you first said, as much as i love an insult match, i am more interested in the way you think and why you think that way. i sounded harsh, but you can thank you other female counterparts for messing it up for you not doing what they can to their fullest extent with their rights. honestly, i know you are a hard worker, but im tired of insults, please, give me something a little more interesting.
@judesama11 Jude, I was commenting to Stephan originally, simply commenting on his video post and I was attacked. You want facts and statistics. I understand that. I was merely offering anecdotal experiences from myself and my friends and even my own mother that also worked her butt off her whole life to care and provide my sister and I. Stats are from the US Dept. of Labor just Google labor statistics women vs men pay
@judesama11 here I Googled it for you. Direct from the Dept of Labor statistics. There are a lot more stats but you can Google it yourself and they won't all fit in the comment box.
9. The median weekly earnings of women who were full-time wage and salary workers was $657, or 80 percent of men’s $819. When comparing the median weekly earnings of persons aged 16 to 24, young women earned 93 percent of what young men earned ($424 and $458, respectively).
@TheeLynnChasei have seen these. did some research of my own, and the reason why some of this is the way it is, if you look up Dr. Warren Ferrel, he wrote a book called Why Men Earn More, and he was a feminist. there are specific reasons why men get paid as such, like they work longer hours, dont take as much time off, dont have kids, they take more dangerous jobs and more. i know you might be different, but the other ladies are making it hard for you....
@TheeLynnChase and yes your started the whole insult match!! with this...
Your mama must have been ignorant too since she obviously raised a poster child for the Misogenists of America Club.
i may be on the males side but thats because i am a man. besides, i didnt take any shots at you. i was just saying that you were kind of out of line with what you were saying. those statistics got that way for a reason, not because men want to pay them less.
@TheeLynnChase Today's crappy job market has *nothing* to do with men/women, so put it out of your mind.
The 80% number is highly debatable, nevertheless, assume it to be true for the moment. If I were stuck looking for a job today, I would want to be a woman. Just imagine how much better the chances when your competition (men) want 25% more for the same work!!!! You would jump straight to the head of the line.
If "happiness" is a subjective state that is endlessly varied in causality from individual to individual, who cares if women statistically are more or less "happy" now as opposed to some other aribitrary time period? I don't.
Also, this study appears to only address western women, who actually are a minority globally speaking, but for some reason appear to be the only demographic that "matters".
It's funny how our system works, due to the economy both the man and the woman are forced to go into the workforce, leaving no time for proper parenting. Then when the children don't get the proper education everyone points finger at the parents who were only trying to make ends meet...don't blame the parents blame the system.
@Bryan022MP they chose to bring a child into the messed up world so I still blame them. Although society is really messed up at the moment I still don't see blaming others for peoples decisions for their own life is productive.
@suchafool990 it was actually a comment on your own personal inefficient behavior, but as is evidenced by your need to respond with your obvious non understanding sometimes we need to make our points longer, and more well explained so that everyone can fully understand them. If a point is made with as little effort of substance as possible then it has no real backing. Yes he could have shortened it, but where is your video explaining it more efficiently?
feminism has liberated me, as a man from the seemingless only choice of marriage to someone you never knew, to produce kids you don't like, to work 50 hours a week, to behave myself in a brick box, waiting to die....
At 44 years, I live in a clean, tidy two room appartment, where I practice singing and playing jazz on my guitar. I have chosen not to buy crap i don't need, so live incredibly comfortably on a 3 day week professional salary. Yes, I'm off 4 days a week EVERY WEEK. My choices
@vajranurse as a free and liberated woman i have becoming common-law married to someone i never really knew before i produced kids i LOVE (which i am sure is NOTHING new) with someone i *barely* like....
@frickinbword work well over 50 hours a week and if i had a job (and in this economy....its not being a woman, its being an american that makes it hard to find one) i'd work WELL over 100 hours a week. i live in a 2 bedroom apartment, less than 800 sq. feet, which i assure you for myself a common-law-husband and two SMALL children is NOT enough
@vajranurse I just started on the classical guitar. Can you point me in the direction of any resources or give me practicing tips? I know it has nothing to do with the topic of the video but I'm pretty guitar obsessed at the moment.
@vajranurse I really enjoyed your comment. Imagine living to 90 years of age. From age 75 to 90 you are alone, because you never had children, never had a spouse and most of your friends are either dead, senile, or too sick/frail to socialize. If you knew this was your future would you still living the same lifestyle? If so you are a very strong person. But maybe I am wrong. However I have seen this lonely lifestyle for many people. Peace to you.
@entrepreneurplus hey.. good points raised there. I suppose every choice is a compromise in so many ways. I was just highlighting the joys of my current choice. You're right I have an interesting future ahead of me.. Lots of love _/|\_
I'm a woman but something I don't like about other typical women is they claim to be all about equality and then turn right around and act like men are inferior. That isn't fair at all. Humanity isn't going to get anywhere with behavior like that, whether it be from a man or woman. I think the bottom line should be - treat others like the humans they are. Yes, men and women are different - but grow up. I hate the whole 'men do this, women do that' talk. Drop the stereotypes. Please god. :P
@mercy35687 I'm a man and I can readily attest that men are inferior. we are idiots and dolts who enter physical relationships with women based solely on attraction and domination tactics, desiring ownership of "something hot". I've been in two fraternities and two colleges, and virtually all men talk about their "conquests" and how they can trick more women into sleeping with them
don't treat men like people because men won't treat u like people
@mercy35687you got it..dumb people! i think women are stressed for the most part.now allowed to be a part of the work world only to find out we have to fight twice as hard to prove ourselves! get paid less! oh and btw have kids and somehow keep it all together while we babysit our husbands!! they have to understand lifes a bitch but come on dont marry you mother! if we want to be mothers we will let you know! we want a partner to help not to clean up after! we love ya but help us out
Women need to realise, that feminism isn't only bad for us men, but also for them. It's all a game by the wealthy, and women are more easily fooled into this game.
@gattiweb =( Now that I think about it,your right....how sad....sad indeed. It's almost seems as if Men have to take everything in and not complain,as if we're made of bricks or something.
So now women have the same choices men have ALWAYS had , i.e. none, and are consequently miserable. The only difference is that men are used to being wage slaves, women are still adapting.
I've notice a trend amongst my late 30 to early 40 year old buddies (I'm 40). We all work, take care of our kids when we get home, do the weekend stuff, do a LOT of parenting, LOT of work, all that (just as women have always complained of), and we are generally happy. Almost ALL of the men I know are married to angry, bitter, psychotic women who complain about EVERYTHING.
Most women in the US (and I am starting to think it's the whole world) are biologically less happy people !
Omg! I never really thought about this before. But yeah, where it was actually possible for one man to support his family some time ago, now it takes two people to do the same. We are basically half as efficient as we used to be!
Have women ever truly had a choice? It seems more like we've traded one slavery for another. In the 1950's women could not survive without a husbands income for the most part, and so had to married, and do chores, and shuttle kids around with little intellectual stimulation. And of course that marriage often involved rape, as martial rape was not recognized as criminal in many jurisdictions. It would be hard to argue that that was not, in fact, a form of oppression in itself. (Continued...)
@secrets0stolen And now, as I agree with you, we are economically forced to go into the workplace even *in* a family situation to the point of practical child neglect.
It also seems that it's not the government for the most part, but the market that has elevated the prices of houses and such, since we have doubled our workforce. Certainly there are taxes as well, but the fact that people now *can* pay more drives up the prices!
@secrets0stolen As an anarchist myself, I'm personally a fan of the Radical Homemakers movement--which unfortunately many mainstream feminists deplore!
Also, what would you say about men not having a choice of whether or not to go into the workforce? Don't you think they should have a choice as well?
suicide.org/suicide-statistics html - "Note the significant difference in the rates between males and females – there are about 4 male deaths by suicide for each female death by suicide. But keep in mind that there are about 3 female attempts for every male attempt." Posted to show relevance, this came to mind as Stef talk for I did not have clue to this unhappiness. The suicide attempts shows there is something to the vlog.
Thus - all which were achieved was, that women who used to care for their family (unpaid) now has to work full time (often caring for strangers) - to pay for other strangers, to care for their family. All the while of course, getting 50 cents on the dollar - after the state bureaucracy has had its share.
Hehe - you use too many words to make your points - but are (after 4 videos sofar) right of course.
On the point of women (this video) it can be said a bit more simple. Women get the vote, and they use it to expand the state - to get a percieved highter level of security. However - the expense of the increased State with all the new programs are (with a delay) paid for by their own forced introduction into the work force as new taxation objects.
men are forced to work as well. it is just women are forced to work and have higher expectations and they're not finding the time to achieve those expectations. however, i'm generalizing.
This is another weakness in the Progressive position. I've always admired feminists, since the movement is essentially constructed around knocking over what has been one of the most prevalent forms of collectivism throughout history, and I wish they'd sever ties with Progressivism. If we can convince feminists that Progressive policies are destructive to their cause, we may be able to siphon off a large part of the Progressive base, and add new allies to the Libertarian cause.
The ERA would've shot feminists in the foot, so they stopped supporting it. It would've killed their requirements for special treatment in certain areas stone dead. I'm also not sure I agree that women voting created the welfare state. The existence of the welfare state followed significant advances in technology throughout society. The World Wars also had a massive effect on the creation of state welfare, as did the threatening rise of Communism after WW1. Good vid, though.
I agree with the part about government subsidization of female jobs but I disagree that doubling the workforce doubles economic output. Remember, only private sector jobs are productive. What the government did is create a pool of money they stole from working men and offering it to women to do jobs they would otherwise not have done. That can't be good.
bredin all the time! ...lol, coz they got nothing else to do... they not earning but spending more... both, financially and physically...most people always can think of 'that', but not on how to improve income. Bz doing 'that' and got lazy waking up...and being responsible..! sounds familiar???
That was painfully true. One of the best videos I'v ever seen on youtube. Doubling the work force also doubled the production of the economy, so that now it is impossible for one income to support a family.
It was done purposely. It was not merely the result of societal evolution, nor the consequences of misplaced do-gooder-ism. The design was to destroy the white middle class family, and it's worked very well. We're almost there. See the interview with Aaron Russo, where he explains how the Rockefellers funded feminism for the purpose of destroying the middle class family. Unfortunately, most females are natural fascists, as Orwell wrote, thus make a perfect couple with the coming Police State.
Studies have shown that men have grown happier over the same time period mainly because they can obtain sex now without ever having to commit to a woman or help rear her children.
this guy hit the nail on the head. i wish he would have talked more about how who made the decision to give women the vote. the global elite..... just on the side.... since we're waxing philosophical here. men and women are equally miserable insomuch as the very nature of the human soul wishes to express itself... it is a needy thing.its why we are here. why do you think that buddist monks are so content? they don't want or expect anything from this world.
Stef you were wrong about one thing. The socialist ideals imported to the universities habbened befor the first world war. It happened some time in the late1800's and was later called the progressive movement.
Women have it made especially in America if they're unhappy it's totally their fault. Almost all homeless people are men. Women are the gatherers so they get to cherry pick who they start relationships with, then they're always the one to initiate divorce. Then they whine about where all the good men are after they choose idiots for 20 years. Stop gold digging and maybe you'll find a good man.
You are kind of contradicting yourself. You are always promoting voluntaryism, but that is what it was when women started working. It is true that the choice has been taken away these days, but it didn't start by violence, it started voluntarely.
@RoyvanKeulen Yes the voluntary part of it is a reaction to irrational discrimination in the workplace, but I believe most of it is government subsidized. Overall, women would rather stay home with their kids than work.
i see lots of the comments sayin' there's too many single moms an that's why they're unhappy, but remember single moms need love too. share the wealth and make 'em happy. an' to let you in on a little secret, while you're avoidin' these nice single moms, there's one busy guy out there makin' more of 'em! so get out there and stake your claim to fame. i swear, there's only two or three fellers out there makin' all the new kids! if more of us don't get involved, all these kids gonna look the same!
uhhh, unless you have some kind of plan to 1) not give your real name 2) knock her up without revealing any personal details then I think knocking women up is a bad idea because she's probably going to take you to court for child support
it's easy to refute my opinion, but how do YOU account for all the single moms in north america...? most single mothers that i have met are working or on welfare... they tell me that child support is too unreliable... many women that i've met don't want no husband... they just want a couple of kids... also, if they want your name, just tell 'em ol' Cracker sent ya'... or tell 'em that your name is cypher954...!
i really believe that one guy is runnin' 'round makin' all the kids... they all gonna look the same...! rich people ain't havin' no kids - poor people breedin' all the time...!
I didn't dispute what you said, I just said that it's probably a bad idea to knock women up...kind of messed up that women just want kids with no man around but I would definitely agree that this is the mindset of women today...not all of them will admit that they think that way but most of them do...
are schools turning boys into strange, feminine creatures? boys who touch type, but can't use a hammer? who know all the capital cities, but are ignorant about the financial system? while rich boys learn valuable skills to become executives, the public schools teach boys to be secretaries (for the rich boys?). is this the cause for school boy killers who rebel against an unnatural control by female teachers and their effeminate counterparts - and being forced to read "My Dad's RoomMate, Bob."
The feminized society, especially the media, has given women and girls the illusion that they are superior to men, shielded from reality and make them believe that their shit doesnt stink. Then a little later in life, reality its them hard. That is why so many of them are so unhappy.
I would agree between the media television and movies many women are women in a fantasy land, they think every guy is supposed to be a rich doctor or lawyer like they see on TV. Also women will only date up or to the side, but never down like men do. So a woman that makes a fair amount of money automatically crosses off many men just due to how much money he makes.
Seems women are muti-taskers, while men are tunnel visioned. Men usually are very vocal if less attention to them and when women can multi-task and live well w/o a man.Time for old roles again tho.
sorry to disagree, but this multi-tasking thing doesn't seem to bear out. i've heard it in the media, but i think it's to sell media products to women who want to buy into a positive message. i think this skill is individually based or a learned trait. once the media said pop was a cancer agent. but you had to drink five gallons a day for ten years. now they say it's an energy booster. tomorrow they'll say it's good for your teeth. LOL! the media is the massage! long live CNN!
Many women I know are full of joy cuz they don't buy into that "feminist" label. It's like being an "independent woman". (women that are not dikes!) Fulfilled lives taking care of family, but job too
As a single man thats out and about a lot in different social settings, there does seem to be an awful lot of just downright unhappy, miserable women. It's probably worse where I am, I'm in the rust belt. I don't know if feminism has anything to do with, maybe partially, I think it is a combination of quite a few things. For one thing there are so many single moms now for whatever reason. This hurts them on multiple levels, a lot of decent men do not want a divorced w/ kids woman.
Feminists are only unhappy because we're in the midst of a massive feminist backlash. I have rarely met a happy woman in a traditional role and I know some who miserable simply because their role as a mother prevented them from pursuing the life they truly wanted.
T
he majority of people aren't happy working for corporations period unless you're lucky enough to be performing an action that you love. Otherwise, work is simply something that pays the bills and is often destructive to the true self
how can you ever feel satisfied and happy when you are constantly trying to fulfill other peoples expectations and are so concerned about peoples opinions and criticisms. I don't know if women have more of a tendency to want to be accepted and admired by people or its just that society DOES demand more of a woman than a man.
),they need to take care of their kids and be super moms, go to games, help with homework, have a perfect looking home, have the perfect looking car, have it be impecably clean,be a great cook and baker, be a great lover. All these are fed to them by the family, society, movies, media, comercials. And if you fail at any of these its hard to feel like you're doing a good job at being a model woman.
iam a happy woman:) I think one of the reasons a lot of women are unhappy has to do with having ridiculous expectations, they have to work and be super succesful so they can show they are at par with men, they have to look like a super model(go to the gym, dressing up great.
Methinks the concept of feminism is coming home to roost. The main thing that women failed to take into account in their zeal to be equal to men was that men weren't able to take over the role of bearing children. Didn't see that one coming did you? So women pop out 9 or 10 "Pizzaboy Delivery Juniors" by 4 or 5 different men then find themselves single, pissed off, with litters of kids and what man wants any of that?
It's not just the increase in taxes that has obligated a two income household. The increase in population and consumerism are also blame. The cost for housing eats up a larger economic share of the family budget now than it did in the 1950's, for example. We also live in larger houses now, as compared to then, to store all the crap we think we need. We've gone into debt buying junk which we have no time to use because we are too busy working like maniacs to pay for it all. It's crazy!
"It's not just the increase in taxes that has obligated a two income household" That may be partly true, but don't underestimate the detrimental effects of taxes. Every $1 the government steals from use in the form of income taxes, sales tax, property taxes, land transfer taxes, gas taxes, tc, etc, etc, etc, is $1 that is going to be used to fund inefficient government services and wastes instead of being used for innovation. Who knows what liberating technologies have been lost on this alone
The taxes primarily fund the economic juggernaut that our defense industry has become. I agree that taxes are inefficiently spent, but I would rather have a social democracy like Sweden than the profligate spending on war that we have had under the Belicose Bush administration. At least in Sweden there is some recompense to society other than dead soldiers and profiteering for the likes of Halliburton and Monsanto. I know you Libertarians are going to balk at this comment!
What about the idea that the world in general is not as cheery a place to be? The economy is not good, and one income households are increasingly impossble. Add to that the malaise caused by knowing that your economy (if you're from the US) directly benefits from the misery of others. Perhaps women are a little more sensitive to this?
Do you know why one income households are increasingly impossible? If you are going to be "sensitive" to the misery of others, would you please at least understand how an economy works, before you start blaming people?
I dont think stef is implying that women overall are less happy than men, but in this video is focusing on women specifically. It would be daft to think that women overall are less happy than men, this is evident in the much higher suicide rates among males for one example.
I'm afraid I don't follow your logic re family courts. They seem to be perfectly congruent with the federal constitution, yet you still claim they aren't, with no evidence. Okay.
There's a difference between saying, "Men are prone to violence" and "All men are violent." One describes a trend, and the other implies an inescapable fact and excludes all men who are not violent. All I'm trying to emphasize is that the roles and personalities of men/women are not set in stone.
"which sex is physiologically fitted for bearing, nurturing, and raising children?"
Women are certainly biologically designed to bear children. I'm not disputing that. However, post-childbirth, there exists no evidence of a biological imperative that dictates women's role in relation to their children. Since you are the one making the positive claim that it is a "biological fact", the burden of proof is on you, not me.
I have read the constitution; there is nothing within it that rules out family courts. Please point to any case precedent which has ruled that family courts are federally unconstitutional. In my research, I have found none.
Exceptions negate the rule when the rule purports to be absolute. If you say "it is within all women's nature to want to be primary caregiver" and some women do NOT want that, then the "rule" is negated.
Please enlighten me as to how family courts are "unconstitunal" [sic].
Re the "contradiction": I said women do not NECESSARILY want to be caregivers. I was speaking against your argument that it was an innate part of all women's psyches to want children and to care for them. It isn't. Many do not have children.
For those who DO, many want primary caregiver status, yes. However, their male partners do too. So this desire for childrearing is obviously not a solely female trait, as you suggested.
Joekidd: I can tell you from my experience that women do not necessarily want to be the primary caregiver, and to insist otherwise is insulting.
When couples get divorced, they BOTH attempt to gain custody of their children. (Otherwise, why would family courts exist?) In the vast majority of cases, neither men nor women simply give their children away to their partner, because they BOTH want to be primary caregiver.
I can't help but wonder if dual-income households are less a matter of necessity than they are a matter of preference. I know people who have raised families of four with a single working parent. Granted, their homes weren't as spacious and their clothes as brand-name, but it was entirely possible. I think many people are unwilling to admit that their own voracious consumerism plays into their unhappiness, instead blaming it on sinister economic machinations beyond their control.
You misunderstood me. I was talking about his argument, and agreeing with you. My point was that, as you say, it is NOT irrelevant if women want to be the primary caregiver; it actually IS the issue. Whether it is societal gender roles determining this, or some natural instinct, or a combination of both, I don't know. But the point is that IT is the problem for women who HAVE to work and WANT to be the primary caregiver, making them unhappy.
Did you dad ever arrest people for non-violent "crimes" like drug use or prostitution? Did he ever arrest people for not paying their taxes to the state?
Yes. This argument only holds if it is implicit that women must be the caregivers AND also work, and that the men are only to work. If the indoctrination of daughters into this way of thinking over each generation is still occurring, then no wonder. If it wasn't taken as creed by many women that they must have kids, must work AND must carry the bulk of the load of child care, then they would probably be happier. It seems as if there is a large societal pressure on women to do all these things.
I heard the other day that the CFR and the Rockefeller family bank rolled the propaganda to get the faminist movement going. So they could enter the work force and subsequently be taxed for thier work.
What I would be interested in knowing is if, although women have become less happy than men over this time frame, men have also gotten less happy, or if they have gotten happier in correlation with before women entered the workforce. Knowing that would be very interesting indeed...
11:04 pretty much sums it up.

I think women who are single are just joining the ranks of unhappy men. I would argue it the married men who are getting happier.

Honestly, I cannot see myself ever being financially dependent on a man again.

this arguement fails to include single mothers or women who are single and choose to be single which is 51% of american women these days... by this logic only women who are working and raising kids are stressed... what about women who are single which is now the majority in the US... more women are not having kids, shouldnt they be getting happier as it doesnt give them stress?

that was long rant which to me resembles an attempt to prove how the planets rotate around the flat Earth in the center. i think one sentence in the beginning was it: women go to work AND do most of the [unpaid] work around the house and children. so the solution is obviously for men to share some more of the unpaid toilets cleaning around the house, NOT make insane claims that "women do not want but r forced to work, and feminists are socialists who also want more Muslims in Europe." <-- ROFL.
alennna 6 months ago 2
women fell for the delusion that they are more valuable in the workforce than taking care of the children and the household. The results? women are more stressed with the dog eat dog "outside world"... so they also now are less healthy... On top of it... the children now are imbalanced because they no longer grow up with their mother at home... so all of society is breaking down even though women are making more money.
Amidat 6 months ago

You would get the same result today if ~150 million adults immigrated to the US in just a few years.
jeffiek 7 months ago
@jeffiek The factors Stefan mentioned are real, but I believe overstated. He does not mention the capital investment versus productivity.
Labor, without capital, isn't worth much. It takes investment to support productivity/wages. When available labor increases much faster than capital ( as in women entering the workforce ) the ratio decreases and the average salary must go down.
The men already have the jobs supported by capital. Guess which ones the women get.

Azremodehar 8 months ago
Right, so just because women are allowed to work that automatically means men should take advantage of that? Maybe the fault isn't in the removal of gender restrictions. Maybe some common curtesy should be shown by some spouses as to doing their fair share of the work. A woman in the workforce has nothing to complain about if the man is at home doing all the chores and looking after the kids.
AlternateArtisan 8 months ago
Stephen, I think you nailed it but this was over 3 years ago now, since then it is even worse because while we need 2 incomes, there are no jobs! Women also still make .80 cents per dollar a man makes for the same job. This is what the job market is like now= 2 degrees and 70 applications in 7 states- no interview yet.
TheeLynnChase 10 months ago
@TheeLynnChase women make 80 cents for every dollar a man makes, because men take the harder jobs, they are more goal oriented, and they are less likely to F around at work. they are also the first ones to die in a must die situation, they dont get pregnant and take leave, they are the ones making all the hard decisions, blah blah blah. its harsh, but true.
judesama11 9 months ago
@judesama11 I said, "women make .80 cents for every dollar a man earns FOR THE SAME JOB. Not a "harder job". Your mama must have been ignorant too since she obviously raised a poster child for the Misogenists of America Club. Men F around less at at work? Where did you come up with that stat? Making all the hard decisions? What century were you born in? I would like to meet that guy! The only think you wrote that is true was "blah blah blah" you should stick with that.
TheeLynnChase 9 months ago

TheeLynnChase 7 months ago

@TheeLynnChase and just one more thing while im having my way with you. it takes 2 to make a baby.... Stats are from the US Dept. of Labor just Google labor statistics women vs men pay
TheeLynnChase 7 months ago
@judesama11 here I Googled it for you. Direct from the Dept of Labor statistics. There are a lot more stats but you can Google it yourself and they won't all fit in the comment box.
9. The median weekly earnings of women who were full-time wage and salary workers was $657, or 80 percent of men’s $819. When comparing the median weekly earnings of persons aged 16 to 24, young women earned 93 percent of what young men earned ($424 and $458, respectively).
TheeLynnChase 7 months ago
@TheeLynnChasei have seen these. did some research of my own, and the reason why some of this is the way it is, if you look up Dr. Warren Ferrel, he wrote a book called Why Men Earn More, and he was a feminist. there are specific reasons why men get paid as such, like they work longer hours, dont take as much time off, dont have kids, they take more dangerous jobs and more. i know you might be different, but the other ladies are making it hard for you....
judesama11 7 months ago
@TheeLynnChase and yes your started the whole insult match!! with this...
Your mama must have been ignorant too since she obviously raised a poster child for the Misogenists of America Club.
i may be on the males side but thats because i am a man. besides, i didnt take any shots at you. i was just saying that you were kind of out of line with what you were saying. those statistics got that way for a reason, not because men want to pay them less.
judesama11 7 months ago
@TheeLynnChase Today's crappy job market has *nothing* to do with men/women, so put it out of your mind.
The 80% number is highly debatable, nevertheless, assume it to be true for the moment. If I were stuck looking for a job today, I would want to be a woman. Just imagine how much better the chances when your competition (men) want 25% more for the same work!!!! You would jump straight to the head of the line.

Please god. :P

(Continued...)
secrets0stolen 1 year ago
@secrets0stolen And now, as I agree with you, we are economically forced to go into the workplace even *in* a family situation to the point of practical child neglect.
It also seems that it's not the government for the most part, but the market that has elevated the prices of houses and such, since we have doubled our workforce. Certainly there are taxes as well, but the fact that people now *can* pay more drives up the prices!
secrets0stolen 1 year ago
@secrets0stolen As an anarchist myself, I'm personally a fan of the Radical Homemakers movement--which unfortunately many mainstream feminists deplore!

Thus - all which were achieved was, that women who used to care for their family (unpaid) now has to work full time (often caring for strangers) - to pay for other strangers, to care for their family. All the while of course, getting 50 cents on the dollar - after the state bureaucracy has had its share.
RockPiraten 1 year ago
Hehe - you use too many words to make your points - but are (after 4 videos sofar) right of course.
On the point of women (this video) it can be said a bit more simple. Women get the vote, and they use it to expand the state - to get a percieved highter level of security. However - the expense of the increased State with all the new programs are (with a delay) paid for by their own forced introduction into the work force as new taxation objects.

Studies have shown that men have grown happier over the same time period mainly because they can obtain sex now without ever having to commit to a woman or help rear her children.

this guy hit the nail on the head. i wish he would have talked more about how who made the decision to give women the vote. the global elite..... just on the side.... since we're waxing philosophical here. men and women are equally miserable insomuch as the very nature of the human soul wishes to express itself... it is a needy thing.its why we are here. why do you think that buddist monks are so content? they don't want or expect anything from this world.
reduce your wants. be happy.

RoyvanKeulen 2 years ago
@RoyvanKeulen Yes the voluntary part of it is a reaction to irrational discrimination in the workplace, but I believe most of it is government subsidized. Overall, women would rather stay home with their kids than work.

i see lots of the comments sayin' there's too many single moms an that's why they're unhappy, but remember single moms need love too. share the wealth and make 'em happy. an' to let you in on a little secret, while you're avoidin' these nice single moms, there's one busy guy out there makin' more of 'em! so get out there and stake your claim to fame. i swear, there's only two or three fellers out there makin' all the new kids! if more of us don't get involved, all these kids gonna look the same!

uhhh, unless you have some kind of plan to 1) not give your real name 2) knock her up without revealing any personal details then I think knocking women up is a bad idea because she's probably going to take you to court for child support
cypher954 1 year ago
it's easy to refute my opinion, but how do YOU account for all the single moms in north america...? most single mothers that i have met are working or on welfare... they tell me that child support is too unreliable... many women that i've met don't want no husband... they just want a couple of kids... also, if they want your name, just tell 'em ol' Cracker sent ya'... or tell 'em that your name is cypher954...!

i really believe that one guy is runnin' 'round makin' all the kids... they all gonna look the same...! rich people ain't havin' no kids - poor people breedin' all the time...!
CrackerJackLee 1 year ago
I didn't dispute what you said, I just said that it's probably a bad idea to knock women up...kind of messed up that women just want kids with no man around but I would definitely agree that this is the mindset of women today...not all of them will admit that they think that way but most of them do...
cypher954 1 year ago
are schools turning boys into strange, feminine creatures? boys who touch type, but can't use a hammer? who know all the capital cities, but are ignorant about the financial system? while rich boys learn valuable skills to become executives, the public schools teach boys to be secretaries (for the rich boys?). is this the cause for school boy killers who rebel against an unnatural control by female teachers and their effeminate counterparts - and being forced to read "My Dad's RoomMate, Bob."
CrackerJackLee 2 years ago

Men usually are very vocal if less attention to them and when women can multi-task and live well w/o a man.Time for old roles again tho.

probably the last time a woman was able to put a square peg thru a square hole.
plutoplatters 2 years ago
sorry to disagree, but this multi-tasking thing doesn't seem to bear out. i've heard it in the media, but i think it's to sell media products to women who want to buy into a positive message. i think this skill is individually based or a learned trait. once the media said pop was a cancer agent. but you had to drink five gallons a day for ten years. now they say it's an energy booster. tomorrow they'll say it's good for your teeth. LOL! the media is the massage! long live CNN!

Many women I know are full of joy cuz they don't buy into that "feminist" label. It's like being an "independent woman". (women that are not dikes!) Fulfilled lives taking care of family, but job too
potterword 2 years ago
As a single man thats out and about a lot in different social settings, there does seem to be an awful lot of just downright unhappy, miserable women. It's probably worse where I am, I'm in the rust belt. I don't know if feminism has anything to do with, maybe partially, I think it is a combination of quite a few things. For one thing there are so many single moms now for whatever reason. This hurts them on multiple levels, a lot of decent men do not want a divorced w/ kids woman.
BurningUp99 3 years ago
If the divorcee will put up with me I'll take 'em, LOL... if they get child support even better.

JRTJRTJRT 3 years ago
Feminists are only unhappy because we're in the midst of a massive feminist backlash. I have rarely met a happy woman in a traditional role and I know some who miserable simply because their role as a mother prevented them from pursuing the life they truly wanted.

how can you ever feel satisfied and happy when you are constantly trying to fulfill other peoples expectations and are so concerned about peoples opinions and criticisms. I don't know if women have more of a tendency to want to be accepted and admired by people or its just that society DOES demand more of a woman than a man.
dieonyourfeetDEC16 3 years ago 2
),they need to take care of their kids and be super moms, go to games, help with homework, have a perfect looking home, have the perfect looking car, have it be impecably clean,be a great cook and baker, be a great lover. All these are fed to them by the family, society, movies, media, comercials. And if you fail at any of these its hard to feel like you're doing a good job at being a model woman.
dieonyourfeetDEC16 3 years ago
iam a happy woman:) I think one of the reasons a lot of women are unhappy has to do with having ridiculous expectations, they have to work and be super succesful so they can show they are at par with men, they have to look like a super model(go to the gym, dressing up great.
dieonyourfeetDEC16 3 years ago

It's crazy!
Sugiebaby 3 years ago
"It's not just the increase in taxes that has obligated a two income household" That may be partly true, but don't underestimate the detrimental effects of taxes. Every $1 the government steals from use in the form of income taxes, sales tax, property taxes, land transfer taxes, gas taxes, tc, etc, etc, etc, is $1 that is going to be used to fund inefficient government services and wastes instead of being used for innovation. Who knows what liberating technologies have been lost on this alone
sumadartsan 3 years ago 2

Perhaps women are a little more sensitive to this?
rebeccalarsen 4 years ago 2
Do you know why one income households are increasingly impossible? If you are going to be "sensitive" to the misery of others, would you please at least understand how an economy works, before you start blaming people?

I dont think stef is implying that women overall are less happy than men, but in this video is focusing on women specifically. It would be daft to think that women overall are less happy than men, this is evident in the much higher suicide rates among males for one example.
candburd 2 years ago
I'm afraid I don't follow your logic re family courts. They seem to be perfectly congruent with the federal constitution, yet you still claim they aren't, with no evidence. Okay.
There's a difference between saying, "Men are prone to violence" and "All men are violent." One describes a trend, and the other implies an inescapable fact and excludes all men who are not violent. All I'm trying to emphasize is that the roles and personalities of men/women are not set in stone.
marabean 4 years ago 2
"which sex is physiologically fitted for bearing, nurturing, and raising children?"
Women are certainly biologically designed to bear children. I'm not disputing that. However, post-childbirth, there exists no evidence of a biological imperative that dictates women's role in relation to their children. Since you are the one making the positive claim that it is a "biological fact", the burden of proof is on you, not me.
marabean 4 years ago
I have read the constitution; there is nothing within it that rules out family courts. Please point to any case precedent which has ruled that family courts are federally unconstitutional. In my research, I have found none.
Exceptions negate the rule when the rule purports to be absolute. If you say "it is within all women's nature to want to be primary caregiver" and some women do NOT want that, then the "rule" is negated.
marabean 4 years ago
Please enlighten me as to how family courts are "unconstitunal" [sic].
Re the "contradiction": I said women do not NECESSARILY want to be caregivers. I was speaking against your argument that it was an innate part of all women's psyches to want children and to care for them. It isn't. Many do not have children.
For those who DO, many want primary caregiver status, yes. However, their male partners do too. So this desire for childrearing is obviously not a solely female trait, as you suggested.
marabean 4 years ago
Joekidd: I can tell you from my experience that women do not necessarily want to be the primary caregiver, and to insist otherwise is insulting.
When couples get divorced, they BOTH attempt to gain custody of their children. (Otherwise, why would family courts exist?) In the vast majority of cases, neither men nor women simply give their children away to their partner, because they BOTH want to be primary caregiver.
marabean 4 years ago
I can't help but wonder if dual-income households are less a matter of necessity than they are a matter of preference. I know people who have raised families of four with a single working parent. Granted, their homes weren't as spacious and their clothes as brand-name, but it was entirely possible. I think many people are unwilling to admit that their own voracious consumerism plays into their unhappiness, instead blaming it on sinister economic machinations beyond their control.
marabean 4 years ago
Depends on the incomes
gordon1of1khartoum 4 years ago
Gordon: To a certain extent, yes. But wouldn't that have been true of the one-income household of the 40s just as it's true today?
People managed to make single-income families work before feminism came into the picture. I'm just not clear on how that's no longer the case today.
marabean 4 years ago
You misunderstood me. I was talking about his argument, and agreeing with you. My point was that, as you say, it is NOT irrelevant if women want to be the primary caregiver; it actually IS the issue. Whether it is societal gender roles determining this, or some natural instinct, or a combination of both, I don't know. But the point is that IT is the problem for women who HAVE to work and WANT to be the primary caregiver, making them unhappy.
mmortal03 4 years ago
Did you dad ever arrest people for non-violent "crimes" like drug use or prostitution? Did he ever arrest people for not paying their taxes to the state?
stefbot 4 years ago
It seems as if there is a large societal pressure on women to do all these things.
mmortal03 4 years ago 2
Bout time one guy admitted to using women for sex. Now, you must also remember that there are some women that do the same with men.
