Thousands of Mink was released here in the UK and they have spread killing a huge amount of wildlife. Do they not know what damage they do releasing them? Just a bunch of brain dead fools that take action without thinking of what could happen.

I dont agree with the mink being kept for furr, however i dont belive releasing them is a good idea either. 6000 is alot to release in an area, it is more than likely that more than half will die of starvation, not to mention the ecological impact they will have.
I had that same question in my head, but the ecological impact has already been answered when these people took the land to do their deeds. When wicked weather hits, cages and other stuff fall apart. You see it all of the time in weather videos that animals running freely. You have to think outside of the box when you set these animals free. Ecology was already screwed when these people came from where ever to do what ever.

I don't think that they should have released the minks, yes the minks would die in the farm but releasing them into the wild in Utah, in the middle of winter, isn't very smart. I found 15 dead minks in my backyard in one week. Releasing it just so it can freeze to death or just for a predator to come along and bite its face off is crueler then just letting them die quickly and painlessly.
