Hey I made one of those and here's a few ideas get a portable power pack and go to auto zone and get a 15 dollar universal car antenna for the power pack to work you'll need to get a cheap 12v cigarette light accessory something with a cord to get to the wires and take your two power cords hook it up to one wire and take your ground for the other wire

1.how many batteries have you got what make are they

2.how many watts per channle is that JVC head unit

nice boombox well made and well loud, ive made one too using a similar method but with a smaller battery (17ah) and 8 inch speakers it sounds quite good too.
