umm, I assume that you're not following the order of the album naming these vids, as Friction is song #3, while the video you have as #3, Elevation, is song 5 on the album.
TLBN is correct. on the original album release of "Marquee Moon" the song "Friction" is song #2, it is song #2 even on the first CD release... I have no idea what version you have
I double checked, and my CD lists it as track 3. I have a reissue with alternate takes of See No Evil, Friction and Marquee Moon, the single or demo they put out before the album called Little Johnny Jewel and an untitled instrumental as bonus tracks after the album proper. The track order for the album is as follows:
1)See No Evil
2)Venus
3)Friction
4)Marquee Moon
5)Elevation
6)Guiding Light
7)Prove It
8)Torn Curtain
I scoured the net for a different track order but could not find one.
I even checked the WEA overseas version of the 1989 version of the CD (my expanded re-ish came out in 2003), and it was exactly the same. Same goes for the LP. So unless you have some obscure issue or a bootleg or something that I can't find, it seems to me that the track order has never been changed on any release and Friction is track 3.
oh fuck, there I go again going off half-cocked. The reason why this is "Marquee Moon 02" is because "Marquee Moon 01" contains the first and second songs from the album, See No Evil and Venus, and this second video couldn't fit both Friction and Marquee Moon in because Marquee Moon is a 10 minute song. A little confusing due to the naming. However, Friction most certainly is song #3 on the album, not #2.
