I think the US is getting the concept of the WC. World cup games are generally poor quality [probably through the fear of letting your nation down making each game very negative compared to club football] but the wc is about the party. You party when your country is playing then when its over you go back to not caring. this is what Europeans do. many Europeans don't follow the game but get into the party mood during the wc. They don't become fans because of it.

"here is your yellow card" that was the only funny part of this interview....the rest is just sad because at least Letterman should have done more research about Donovan instead of just asking dumb questions that only wasted interview time.
I am a Mexican, I think Donovan deserves better respect than this....at least in the world of soccer he is respected because he has shown his class with Everton and Bayern Munich.

Gotta be honest here i didn't know too much about Donovan before he was loaned to Everton (who i support).
