I actually flew on one of these in the early 60s while my dad was being transfered to Okinawa. Great plane to fly on as a passenger.

That is beautiful. Im really into scale R/cs myself. I have a Hanger 9 P 47 and a 45 cc gaser waiting to be built. Anyways about 5 or so years ago I got to fly in a real Connie, it was such an amazing experience

The wheels going up and down are called retracts, and it's common on most warbird models.
