  • its about 6-700 meter max, including the reaction time of the animal. Not more than that...

  • mmm.. I don't find this shot to be an ethical one personally. Yes the shot concluded with a clean kill but at 1500 there are TONS of variables at the distance. Especially at a moving target none the less. From the sounds of it the shooter got down right lucky. Factory ammo, factory gun, no range before the shot was taken nor does it sound like you had a scope with drop compensation turrets. Ex. Huskemaw, Leupold mark 4, Night Force and so on.

  • Thats not 1500 yards... why the hell would you be shooting at a moving elk at 1500 yards in the first place?

  • @Coloradoboy32 You are right, it's not 1,500 yards it's likely a little further. The 1,500 yard range finder wouldn't range it. You are also correct that it was a border-line unethical shot however the shooter was confident in his ability to make the shot so he took. the result is obvious. Thanks for watching!

  • WOWWWW THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME!!!! there is like a 2 sec delay, great shot man, great shot!!!

  • @awar818 Thanks for watching! I am glad you enjoyed it. It was quite a shot, I am sure lady luck was gracing that day as well. = )

  • That was an amazing shot!!

  • @murderkid200 Thanks! I think there was a little bit of luck involved as well. That said; I'd rather be a little lucky than good any day! :)

    Thanks for watching!

  • @StoneySky46 Haha even with luck, that still does require a lot of skill, i was just wondering what rifle you were using?? and I would never have thought that a .300 Win Mag could drop a elk at 1500+ yards, at first i thought you where using a .338 Win Mag or RUM, but i was shocked when you said .300 Win Mag! Great Shooting!

  • @murderkid200 Thanks! over the counter Hornady rounds no less. :)

  • @StoneySky46 Nice What Rifle?? Like Company and Model?

  • Crazy shot, what were you using?

  • @NigelGriff Thanks! 300 Win Mag
