Just to let you now, a LOT of synthetic wigs now can withstand heat up to a low-ish degree. When you buy them off ebay, it will say if they can or not. Thus, you can straighten and curl wigs.

@RomyLikezCuppycakes this is incredibly INCORRECT. unless you specifically buy a heat resistant wig, do NOT put heat on it. it SHRIVELS and melts. there ARE fibers that are synthetic and you can use heat tools on them. especially a lot of the "cosplay" wigs which you can indeed buy on ebay. your average wig is NOT that kind of wig. make sure you ask what kind of fiber you have on your wig before melting it to death!

Hi Traci! I think your videos are great! I also work for a princess party company (I play Ariel and Belle), and I have looked to you a couple of times for ideas. I find the wigs are the biggest challenge, because I have the thickest hair! If I french braid it, the braids are too fat! I have been trying a number of different things, but so far I haven't found any easy way to do it. I was wondering how you got permission from Disney to post all this? I am not even allowed to put my pic on FB :(

@MonsterGagaFame99 No worries-you can also twist and pin your hair back. No braiding required! I just like to braid if I have time cuz it keeps my hair in place even before the wig cap is on, but once you put that cap on, you should be pretty good to go. (-;

@ItzIsabel try braiding your hair in 4 braids instead of 2. (-: I do that when my extensions are sewn in. Helps a lot! ^^

Thank you for putting your wig on the Right way. if you turn it upside down and stick your head into it it wrecks the entire hair line and style. it stinks how we can't get our wigs like Broadway people do, with the whole measuring and then the little skin tap in the front. On Broadway they don't even use bobby pins! :-o

I used this tutorial for my wig for halloween. Except my hair is so thick if i put it in two braids it'd be too big to fit under a wig. So i used about 10 braids around my head and pinned them into a pretty design so if i got tired of my wig during the night i could take it off and still look cute. :)

I'm doing a drama project that's very important (the project is called Who Am I) and we basically need to perform and show a side of ourselves. My entire thing is based off of The Little Mermaid, because it is my life and that's what I want to reflect, homemade costume and all!. Wig-wise, what color cap should I use (my hair is white-blonde)?

Maybe either a blonde or a light brown? I don't think they make red ones, but you can always dye a blonde one if you want. As long as you pull the cap back far enough it shouldn't matter too much. You should never see a wig cap once the wig is on. (-: The color choice is just extra surety in case accidents happen haha. But pin the wig well and you should be fine.

Well it's good to have your wig cap match your wig, but no worries if you don't have a pink one lol! I'd prolly just use a blonde cap and pull it back so you don't see it under the wig. The most important thing is that that cap holds all your hair back securely. (-: I guess if you wanted you could dye your wig cap but I doubt I'd go to those lengths haha.

I just use eyebrow/eyeliner/lipliner pencils for my brows. When they're blonde I use light brown powder though.
