I would rather invest my tax dollars in research for illnesses which people are innocent victims, if you want to smoke or have sex in bathroom stalls, hey, it's free country but!....you are on your own.
True. But all those other millions of dollars are going to presidential campaigns, war funds and private jet rides to Paris for lunch. I guess its that money we should be concerned with :)
Actually a certain amount is alloted for research, that pie is then divided up.
War funds, transportation, welfare etc are all separate pies, they have nothing to do with each other.
In other words, your electric bill has nothing to do with your car payment. If your elct should double in one month, it doesnt change your car payment and if your elect is free one month your car payment does not change.

At any rate, there is no chance she will be my partner.
While I do feel for any victim... right now AIDS gets more research dollars per-person than ANY OTHER illness, thats just wrong.

AIDS is eating up too much of the "research pie" for the few people effected.
In fact we have very little to show for the vast sums spent already.
