Try putting the exacto blade on a roll of duct tape and rolling the can on the blade and when its really weak you push on the perforation until it snaps free, much easier and more accurate.
This is probably the most crude alcohol stove I've ever seen. It does show you, however, that in an emergency situation, you could make a stove to cook on. All you really need is a knife and a couple empty cans, and alcohol of course. Easiest way to cut the can is to punch one hole in the side, then use a scissors to trim it down to your mark. No offense but that stove is kinda messy.....If you check out my vid on how to make an alcohol stove you'll see an easier,cleaner and safer way to cut the cans,to fit the cans together and to jet the cans!!! But apart from that great vid!!!
Scissors work but it can be alot of effort having to mark the can with a marker and then cut on the line with a scissor unless you follow a logo or something that is the right size for you!!!
