  • Hey I have a new YouTube Channel and I'm going to be doing Tech videos mostly based on GNU/Linux. I uploaded my first video on securing Firefox; please rate (good or bad, don't care) and comment (Tell me if it's good or it sucks). Thanks.

  • everytime he inhales i lost my track what he said cus its really creepy :D:D

  • @BALLERSK Imagine that!

  • This guy sounds like he's announcing a tied Super Bowl 4th quarter. "Meanwhile I'm going to have some more caffeine...Good." Eeep! ::takes cover::

  • your voice sounds like 'the joker' in batman : the dark knight..

  • Version 8 is MUCH faster for sure! Yeah I'm running Iceweasel 8 being I'm on Debian. Basically it's the same as Firefox. It's just Debian's unbranded version of Firefox. Funny thing I read is that Debian IS in the works with Mozilla Corp. of bringing Firefox back to Debian with Firefox logos and all ^_-

  • @TheGeo913 I am very happy with version 8

  • @LinuxSpatry I give it a thumbs up also Spatry :)

  • @1941x1945 I have used the aforementioned method before firefox sync was introduced. Great idea though!

  • I also don't have that nice file tree on the left side of the window. I'm having problems finding the BACKUP folder. I'm stuck there! lol

  • @brobriobri You do not have a BACKUP DRIVE? Oh NO!!!! You better go see a DOCTOR!!!!

  • @LinuxSpatry LOL! I guess I could plug my external drive in, and back it up that way? Is that what the BACKUP is referring to?

  • @brobriobri YES... My backup drive is named "BACKUP"

  • Spatry, I don't have a Nautilus icon on my 10.04 Lucid. I suppose I can just go to Places > Home Folder, and from the Home Folder window, just do a Ctrl h from there to accomplish the same thing?

  • @brobriobri Exactly!

  • could you please do video on how to get the mint software center?

  • @popdodle This came pre-installed with PinguyOS, Which had the best of Ubuntu and Mint, plus a few extras thrown in... I will research this and see about adding a tutorial... Which distribution are you running?

  • @LinuxSpatry Zorin OS 11.04

  • @popdodle That version is called ZorinOS 5... Their numbering scheme is different.

  • For Ubuntu users it's much easier to simply copy paste this command line into your terminal - sudo apt-get update && sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-security/ppa

  • @Live4TheGame1 Correct! There are many ways to accomplish tasks in Linux! I do not know why I did not think of that...

  • @Live4TheGame1 ...Yes, this worked like a charm. I now have a Mozilla ppa in my software sources. I really don't know why I'm doing all of this. The Firefox browser I'm running works fine. lol

  • Thanks for the review, Spatry. +rep
