@jannytwoexx Why would US horses come to Europe. Doesn't money make the world go round, the only race Europe offers worth the trouble of shipping is the Arc, and we don't breed for that kind of distance. If Europe created a race with that $5 million plus purse at a mile to mile and a quarter they'd see some, but honestly if the Breeders Cup is offering it, whats the point of shipping and risking the horses health. I wish International competition was better in horse racing, but with varying st
giants causeway should have beaten tiznow. kinane dropped the whip. you could even see him hitting the horse with his arm about 100 yards out. this was a horse, the iron horse, used to being smacked with the whip. once the jockey stopped, the horse thought it was all over. fantastic horse and a great sire now. sakhee I reckon was beaten fair and square by tiznow. but what a performance by both first time on the dirt. don't see us horses coming over to europe to try their luck that's for sure.
One of the most impressive Arc winners I have seen. He'd injured himself in the Eclipse the year before but as a 4year old he was exceptional. He'd won the Juddmont international by 7lengths previous to this.
@frankschlanker, I know both Sahkee and Giant's Causeway were both exceptional colts. Both came within inches of beating Tiznow in the 2000 and 2001 Breeders Cup Classic in both's first and only lifetime start over conventional dirt. Tiznow was a beast on conventional dirt among American horses. A real testament to how great Giant's Causeway and Sahkee were. To have come that close to beating Tiznow who had raced on dirt his whole career. While both of these colts had raced on turf for theirs.
@GBeret83 But perhaps that year we were robbed of an even better colt in the shape of Kings Best who, lets face it murdered the Giant in the Guineas by 3 lengths. Kalinisi that year as well, was a colt out of the top drawer.

@jannytwoexx Of course Giant's Causeway is the "iron horse". The sire of his grandmother is THE Iron Horse - Secretariat himself.

サガシティはサガミクスの半弟ですね。種牡馬としてもフランスでは期待されていたみたいですが、ハイエストオナーの後継としてはメダリー・ヴェルグラ・テークリスクスなどには後れを取っているようです。頑張れ!!!
