hey, i have all character figures, all boss trophies, all badges, and 67/71 board features =) i still have no idea how to get secret items 42, and 71,

i'm just like you except i have 61/71 board features and I didn't get 42 and 71,too. i don't have the get 500 coins from the wheel of wonder at bowsers place to get a feature and same with end with 500 coins.
