  • smartest president since the 60's. Knows exactly what the fuck he is doing. just you watch.

  • @Maziyar

    terrible prediction.

    this guy is a kid.

good luck with the whole "being the first black president" thing.

  • This is what you get when you elect the least qualified candidate to the highest office in America.

It's not his fault...he wanted to make history...Well, he is making history folks. It doesn't have to be a shining moment--just a solitary moment.

His cabinet picks are going down faster than the stock market, and he is taking the country in a bad direction.

This man is out of his league and he knows it. Shame on the citizens who voted for this fool.

  • you talking about bush there?

  • Good choice guys this ones less literate than a 4th grader. Hes doing really well so far. Is he ever going to finish his cabinet picks. Im not suprised no one want to work for him.

  • and he doesn't have to look down at notes--at least he remember what hes talking about while he's talking about it..

"too many obgyn's aren't able to practice their...their love with women all across this country."--the distinguished pres. GWB

    check and mate.

  • this is still better than bush.

    hands down.

aimless?? i would say thoughtful--iran is a tricky issue.

you try answering the same question in a way that demonstrates a careful and modest approach.

    try it.

  • Ugh, this isn't about whether I personally can give a better response. If I was magically made president today, I would panic. I don't know how to run all that stuff!

But I expect my President to be exceptionally talented!! And be able to manage the white house!! And be able to answer these questions w/o a teleprompter!!

He did not answer any question at all. As a mid level bureaucrat, that is a great way to go. The president can't do that however, and Obama needs to learn this.

  • well "ugh" right back.

i know a lot of people don't like obama, but i think you and the poster let your anger interfere with your listening skills.

    allow me to paraphrase.

the question was 'what is your strategy for engaging iran and when will you start to impliment it'

the response wasn't immediate but goes like this 'my security team is currently reviewing options on dialogue with the iranian government, focused on openings for a face to face meeting in the coming months'

  • This man is so unprofessional answering questions.

When is this going to stop?

  • I don't think he is going to handle all the unfavorable feedback coming from the media and public---it's just too important to him to be admired.

He is really proving that he is not ready to be a president, a hollywood celebrity maybe, but not president.

  • One thing to pause and stumble in private conversation, but when you're being seen speaking around the world, YOU are representing this country.

This was bad. It looked weak and disorganized. It sounded worse.

  • This is hilarious, watching you morons flounder trying to follow a President who actually mulls over his words before throwing them out there.

  • Its called thinking before you speak. Nothing wrong with that. You need to get a grip. The President is a very smart man. Very smart. But some of you are stuck on stupid. Thats ok. You can learn along the way.

  • These are questions that he should have already have a ready answer for---he's the President.

If he went to a job interview for a, say, a management position and answered the questions like that I bet he wouldn't get the job.

  • He just interviewed for the Highest management job in the World. And guess what? He got the Job. YES HE DID. ;o)

Don't hate on him. It's only been a couple of weeks. Remember its not his fault all of this is happening right now. So just chillllll. Enjoy the history that is going down.

  • I love Obama and even I have to admit this was bad. Really bad.

  • hope....and....uhhhhhh....change

  • George W. Bush couldn't speak and John McCain couldn't debate. Sorry, can't apologize for facts.

  • I'm sorry if his answers were too deep and too involved for you to follow or understand. It's kind of difficult to reengage your brain after having it on idle for eight years, isn't it?

  • makes me want to Obomit.

  • Honestly there is nothing wrong with what he said. Just an answer from top of his head. I mean what would you guys expect him to say; that his got a war plan against Iran like Bush and Mccain had? Start think globaly!

  • He pauses while he summons up the next bit of standard, meaningless. rhetoric. uhh, um... we will get them to the table... uhh, um... we will look at available options... uhh, um... we will move our policy in a new direction... uhh, um... Iran is an extraordinary country... uhh, um... we are looking at areas where we can have constructive dialogue... uhh, um, um, uhh...

  • He pauses for good reason. It's called thinking and awareness. You people should travel more to see how other people live and communicate. You seem trapped in your own bubble.

  • Him pausing and going "Uh" constantly is nothing new. Watch any footage of this guy. Anytime he's not during a prepared speech, it's like "uhh" every other word. He almost makes that idiot Bush look good.

  • It seems that he is pausing to remember what he was told to say...as anyone knows if you know your material, your words come with a natural flow. Unfortunately, the media is unable to control his rhetoric, he is on his own until he practices more. The pause between every word is age old...not knowing your material. Sad but not surprising. He was propelled into the position, and reminds me of a deer in the headlights with the deep problems he faces. Not so fun and glamourous anymore is it?

  • Think of our great leaders-- Churchill for example.

Their pauses added dramatic flourish, the implication that they were in charge of the room....they were truly leading.

This looked like a disorganzed mess and sounded far worse.

  • Bush had pre - questions during his news conf. These were right off the reports paper. No getting ready for the questions. See Bush never did that. And he still fumbled the answer.

  • I said during the campaign that, uhh, Iran, uhh, is, uhh, a country that, uhh"

    Holy shit!

  • yea. It's called thinking before you speak.

When the world is listening critically you'd better choose your words carefully. This is a virtue, a good thing.

  • so his aimless without a teleprompter because he thinks before he speaks?
