This track is so powerful, it almost brings tears to my eyes...
However the little passage from 2:24 seems familiar : I think it sounds like another soundtrack I've heard (either on a movie or in a trailer). Does anyone have any idea what I might be talking about? ^^
@Rentanjutsushi Oh, thank you for answering my question but I think I didn't express myself correctly : what I meant is that this track reminds me of another completely different music that would have a similar passage (and I still don't know what music it is). Thanks anyway for taking the time to answer me, I appreciate it :)
Dayumm, I like this one a lot. Final Conflict 2005 was the best card ever imo. Of course, i'm bias cause Shogun's my favorite fighter. Great footage!!!!!!!
it is a mystery to me that the score was not nominated at the oscars, The beautiful cinematogrophy was nominated but I think the score deserved a nomination. tarawa is one of the best movie scores I've heard in my entire life.
Still till this day I get so moved by this score. James Newton Howard rocks. Listen to his academy award nominated score to DEFIANCE amazing!!!!!
This soundtrack it is a new way to compose the music. A new language to touch deeper the human state of soul and mind, the new human drama or the drama itself. It is the description of the need for hope when it is known that it is not there anymore.
Almost as if your time of truth is coming and everything you've ever desired and worked for comes down to this one moment in time that will be remembered forever.
have you found the lyrics yet? i've look at all the lyric sites, and no one has them. I listen closely and think the first line is "He saw them coming." and then something like, "he was the victor." or could be "victim" After that it gets too muddle. I wonder if the composer would want to share the lyrics with his fans??? :D
Well. I'm not engilsh-speaker and is very difficult to know what the chorus is singing. Maybe could be another language like sanscrit. It's very typical in score composers the use of an exotic language in order to give some mysticism and power. But I'm not sure.
I have always thought that the perfect music is that which is not verbalised. Words are just a compansations when perfection does not fit not enough. You are right about how " imprecise" words are when already that music already describes the heart the way that words would impoverish it. Either latin or other kind of dead language, it should reamain so, being let to enjoy the misterious sound of our heart. Afterall that is the music's destination and particularry of that one.
Wow...what you said, was beautiful, amazing and deep, I could have never thought of any better way to say that, let alone even think of something even close to that. You, have a great talent with writing!
This doesnt have the power to move me..

Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita mi ritrovai per una selva oscura, ché la diritta via era smarrita means:
Halfway through the journey of our life I found myself within a dark wood where the straight way was lost
Amazing! Ahh this song is beautiful.

@NifNoufLogasse2 Tarawa was in the Matrix Revolutions trailer at the end of Reloaded.
Only trailer I know of, but it's way more powerful in its original context in Snow Falling On Cedars.

Does it matter what the choir is singing? Words are so inprecise. Let the sound lead you not the words.
