This is a piece of propaganda being used by the Church of Scientology in its ongoing campaign to show that psychiatry is the root of all the world's evils.
The Church of Scientology blames suicide, school shootings, the 9/11 attacks, the Holocaust, and pretty much every war in the last century on psychiatry.
This video is linked to from an e-mail sent around within the church to promote its insane message.
If CCHR wants to support the fight against the MOTHERS Act they are free to do so. You are free to not support it. This is a free country. That does not mean that every person ever hurt by drugs is a scientologist. If they were scientologists, they never would have been hurt by drugs.
@FreePlay Drugs mood altering drugs are not the answer; they cloud your mind when you need to be thinking clearly; they lower your inhibitions and make it MORE likely someone will do something stupid. Been there; done that.

"They're not trying to help mothers. They're trying to drug mothers and that's not the solution." - Amy Philo
Very simple, succinct and true.
While the drug pushers and peddlers try to force consumption of their wares on unsuspecting American women, thank you Amy for pushing back and "sincerely" caring about mothers.
Well having been through the system (albeit not totally government-forced but I was subjected to forced hospitalization) I do not want other moms and babies to be suffering. They want to increase our suffering and kill more people. I hope we can stop them.
So what do u propose for all those moms with it who dont get help because i know of a few cases where they killed their kids and them selves with out the drugs. Putting someone in the hospital could save their life as well as their child.
I propose that you let the families be responsible for making that decision and not impose a government mandate targeting all women in the country. We don't need more forced treatment, especially when the treatments make women worse and MORE LIKELY to become psychotic, homicidal, and suicidal. I was safer with my family at home than anywhere else. Putting me in the hospital accomplished one thing and that was getting me to take Zoloft longer.
At the hospital I was led to believe that Zoloft didn't work for 6 weeks so that meant that it was me and not the drugs. I was subjected to a drug that has been known to cause homicide since years before it was ever approved. Read the studies on lab animals subjected to SSRIs - they become EXTREMELY violent, even rabbits who are normally quite docile animals.
People already have options. This bill is about increasing prescriptions. Nobody is trying to take away your Zoloft. This bill requires screening all women. That is unnecessary and stupid. Women can decide for themselves what to do.
Amy, whoever you are--great job on holding your position. These guys harrassing you aren't trying to help anyone. They're just badgering you about whatever axe they have to grind while irrationally ignoring the real dangers of the Mothers Act.
I commend you for your bravery and persistence. Thank you for being there.
Thanks!!! I watched a video from Dr. Tracy on these drugs and it said that antidepressants cause argumentative behavior. LOL I guess that is what I have in my future to defend against from the hecklers. Internet stalkers.
So the FDA and NEJM, BJM, PLOS etc are part of a cult? This information saves lives, and it saved mine and my family and neighbors. The medical articles are on my website. You can assume and believe what you want but that does not make it true. Your movement isn't very credible if the only thing that you can think of at this point is to accuse people of belonging to a cult. When we inquired with members of your movement asking for evidence that the drugs work safely they could come up with none.
I watched your videos and was touched by your story. I will be writing my representative to oppose the MOTHERS act.
However you should know that the "Citizens Commision on Human Rights" is a front group for Scientology. Scientology is a shady mind-control cult which continually lies to its own members in a bid to gain power and extract their money.
FreePlay, they are known as psychiatric drugs. Psych drugs is a short term. Your comment is ridiculous. If I said USA instead of UNITED STATES OF AMERICA that would not change my religion or beliefs, that is called saving comment space.
Having one or two accounts where something bad has happened is a stupid reason to completely give up on medical science and wanting to help people. So there was one doctor that gave too many pills, that does not mean that the whole system as a whole does not work.
Wow you sure are misguided. The research on antidepressants proves that they do not work and that they are the cause of homicide and suicide. 80% of adult suicides in Sweden were from psych drug users. There is nothing wrong with helping mothers, however antidepressants are a bad choice and the only people that would help would be PhRMA and (if the bill passes) the nonprofits & state willing to get moms to comply with the mothers act... because those groups will get grants to get compliance.
I read of a person who took drugs ( i think benzedrine and cocaine) and he said that our bodies were crawling with ancient alien souls, He truly believed that these souls infested mankind and are what created all their problems. He said the only way to get rid of them was to enter hell through a wall of fire. It's amazing how the mind makes up separate realities when on drugs
A problem with this kind of advocacy is that you may inadvertently support dangerous cults that due to their "own" distrust of society at whole attack the mental health profession. Take Scientology for example. L R Hubbard, self professed leader was paranoid of health officials and wanted his version "world wide" Of course one man is no match to thousands who have created modern science but his ego could not 'handle" itself and he had to attack the whole institution.
Even going so far as to say, all psyches or psych drugs are evil. This man is just paranoid delusional to something even more sinister. (like the above example i posted is OT3 from scientology books and apparently you die if you read it within three days (ridiculous!!!)
You know what is sinister? Anyone who is ok with the idea of moms going out and killing their own children or themselves under the influence of drugs that are prescribed by a doctor - drugs which double the risk of suicide and lead to homicide during sleepwalk states etc. What is sinister is being ok with unnecessary deaths, promoting the drugs, etc.
I guess my comment from earlier never went through, but as I said before, I can't think of very many religions that are ok with murdering women and children and innocent bystanders nor are there very many religions that preach greed. What kind of person can look at the harm being caused by these drugs, and look at the science showing that they do not work, and turn around and promote them to more and more people. Exactly what are you really trying to do here?
No one is taking away rights. You are free to get second opinions and do research. How you can ingest a drug and not do research on it in this day and age is beyond my comprehension. I am going to be hard here and say, you are half at fault for not doing research. Now, the mothers bill is maybe good or bad depending on whose hands it's in. But same can be said for a lot of things. So the bill itself is inconsequential. If you want to make a difference, educate women on your own mistake.
No one is taking away rights? But I am free to do research? And get second opinions? I don't recall anywhere in the bill where it says 1) that any mother is free to deny the screenings
If you are saying we are free to do research and get second opinions 1) you are saying that you agree we are required to be screened and referred
You have a twisted understanding of reality, obviously you have not come to understand the level of interferences from CPS and courts, and the amount of force already
Of course you have a choice, because the FDA has kept these drugs on the market. People with mental disorders should have the right to choose whether or not they want to be screened or drugged, or whether they want to be left alone. Women need to be allowed to discover the root cause of their problems, not pushed into psych treatment which so often forces and ignores the risks of drugs.
The bill is about educating all expecting mothers about PPD and making sure all resources are available to them. It just so happens that PPD is a psychological ailment. Vitamins aren't going to do the trick.
Consent is always given either by the patient or their family. The Bill is designed to:
- Educate
- Screen
- Treat
The first two are extremly important for catching PPD early. Treatment is still a personal choice with the guidance of a professional. I don't see why anyone would ONLY take pills when their child's life is at stake. Do everything you can! Therapy, counciling, and yes... drugs. Education is the important part of the bill IMO.
This bill is clearly trying to educate people to take drugs for something that the people who wrote the bill obviously do not understand. The drugs do not work, this is an obvious ploy to force us to get the drugs because there are fewer willing patients left. Their child's life is significantly at risk if they take drugs. Consent is not always given... I do not see anything in the bill regarding informed consent or refusal at all. I was forced-treated myself. Police force women into hospitals.
All resources are available to them? The bill says that the antidepressants and hospitals are considered essential treatments. Unfortunately the drugs are doing the opposite of what would be best for our bodies and brains. The drugs don't do the trick. Actually, if you are saying vitamins don't do the trick, that must be coming from a very pro-drug stance. Below you say that nobody is pushing drugs but here you are saying that vitamins don't work. Research Omega 3 & nutrition.
If you were to say the same thing about cocaine, LSD, PCP and meth... what would be the expected response? All of these were once prescription psych drugs, now banned.
The government must not force ineffective and deadly drugs on us, especially when there are things that do work safely. The proposal is insulting. It's comical that you needed me to explain the alternatives. Yet you think that the existing language and support offered by the proposed law would be sufficient to help mothers.
Last but not least, if you really want your bill to pass, you might want to have an attorney look at it to remove the inconsistencies, contradictions, errors, and falsehoods. The bill will be challenged if it passes, for all of the constitutional rights it removes... and it will probably be overturned simply because it is so stupid and contradicts itself and therefore can never be legally upheld. Also you might want to consider having your organization stop pushing drugs to prevent fraud suits.
If you really wanted people to support it you would not be denying the language in the bill, you would get behind it. However, there is no logical argument to support the actual langauge in the bill, so you can't. I also think it was foolish of certain people to spend hours writing me emails to play games, but then decide it was useless and stop, only to use the comments they have seen online from some who oppose the bill as examples of "hysterical rants." It doesn't make for good PR either.
What else is not logical is the fact that the people pushing for the bill have drawn a tremendous amount of negative attention their way with the silly campaign to deny truth about what is in the bill... it seems like a contradiction between the desire not to be caught in the act of fraud with drug pushing and the desire to fool people into supporting a bill.
I defy any woman to answer the edinburgh depression scale honestly throughout her pregnancy and first year postpartum without failing it... and being subsequently treated by her doctor. What happens to those who refuse treatment or screening? Docs aren't scared to call the cops on us... or lock us up.
As for logic - what is logical about putting moms on drugs during pregnancy and postpartum... What is logical about using drugs that are proven ineffective... What is logical about using drugs that cause suicide and homicide and infant death? What is logical about taking away the rights of all mothers when not too many mothers actually get depressed? As for well-meaning, yes - that is true, I mean well. And we are not going to put up with those who want the opposite - whose actions cause deaths
What the remainder of the bill says is that the law is going to ensure that mothers are screened. IT says this multiple times. There are many contradictions and mistruths in the bill itself, and I encourage EVERYONE to read it carefully. Your interpretation of the law is negated by the language throughout the proposed law. You also ignore the fact that it is extremely harmful and will increase prescriptions and thereby increase the body count.
Um... what is the definition of ensure... where does it say which mothers are exempt? To say legal documents are confusing?>>>>>> I am not stupid if that is what you are implying. YOu have the right to believe what ever you want. You do not have the right to force your beliefs on the country. You must have missed the part where they refer to making sure moms get essential services, which are defined as meds and hospitals when "necessary" - but a drug that does not even work is never necessary.
What would be most interesting is to find out where you came from and what your real name is and why you are so in favor of pushing your beliefs on the entire country. I know that many organziations pushing for this are misinformed, as well as stand to receive grants for enforcing the proposed law. In contrast, I want to save mothers and babies from unnecessary death. I know that you joined youtube specifically to comment on my videos but I'm not sure that you actually want new info.
WHILE YOU ARE REREADING THE BILL ON MY WEBSITE think about our human rights. If you were told you had to be screened for mental illness, perhaps you would not have a problem with it... but I would. I do not believe the government has the right to invade our privacy that way. I do not put faith in psychiatrists and their bogus screening questions. Nor do I think they deserve the right to check on me. I refuse all psychiatric screening and treatment no matter what. Don't feel like dying today.
the bill says over and over that meds and hospitals are necessary and that the government is requiring screening and referral ("ensure" is the word they use). Doctors can force treat you, CPS can check on you... hospitals can lock you up... There is nothing in the bill stating that we have a right to refuse screening or warning that the medications can cause suicide and homicide and death. Look at uniteforlife dot org and read about the NJ moms who were taken to hospitals by police... standard.
YES go to uniteforlife dot org and read the bill with my comments
TO summarize, NON PROFIT GROUPS AND STATES will be given grants to ensure that mothers are referred. The bill requires all moms to be screened. The bill requires referral of mothers to mental health care providers if they are at risk for or show warning signs of depression or other mental illness, pushes prenatal screening and earlier treatment, and says that meds are essential. Also, they mention researching on minorities.
Also, do you think that it is FREE CHOICE when women are picked up by cops and taken to the hospital, or when they are locked up at the hospital, or when they are treated with drugs without informed consent, or when they are told to stay on a drug that winds up killing them? If the choices were made clear: die on these drugs, or stay alive, Melanie Stokes would have chosen life. And Andrea Yates' children would have chosen not to be murdered b/c of drugs. And Manie would choose a normal heart.
Omega 3, proper nutrition, cosleeping, breastfeeding, etc. aromatherapy (links coming soon - already on the yahoo group) - Also many of the natural docs like chiros and eastern medicine etc. even homeopathy can treat psychosis. If there are hormonal issues those should be measured and treated with benign medications. There are people on my website who've treated these things safely & successfully for decades
The MOTHERS Act DOES negate our freedom of choice from the first sentence to the last. It pushes drugs that kill, and fails to help mothers. Women are capable of seeking help, they do not have to have the government screen them and target them. I find it strange that you think the MOTHERS Act is not about taking away our choices. That is what the bill is about. The bill is one giant laundry list of ways to oppress and kill us.
Furthermore, babies who have been exposed to "antipsychotic drugs" have DIED. The drugs can cause sudden death in the mom. The origin of antipsychotic drugs is from insecticides.
You are promoting poison.
As for prevention, the vast majority of PPD and psychosis can be prevented with proper nutrition, natural childbirth, enough rest, and good support from family & friends. Also you must rest after birth. Orthomolecular medicine (extremely high doses of vitamins) cures. CHECK Thyroid, adrenals..
High doses of Zoloft can cause you to kill yourself or kill you through toxicity. It would take way more vitamin B and C than is recommended to even cause any side effects whatsoever. God did not put Prozac on the branches of trees and vines.
To learn more about the unproven and in fact dangerous anti-psychotics, you should visit my website. uniteforlife dot org. "Antipsychotics" damage the brain so severely that they guarantee that you will have recurrences of psychosis and that they will be more severe. In fact, these drugs shorten your lifespan. The risk of death is increased by a factor of 2.5 for each drug you take. It's a chemical lobotomy. Additionaly, they do not stop psychosis, they are actually pro-psychotic drugs.
If you think it is helpful to educate people with psychiatric dogma, when there are already gobs and gobs of proven treatments that are safe, not to mention prevention strategies, then I think you have a lot to learn.
Additionally, Melanie's mom may be in favor of this bill but that does not make it a good bill. My mom is the mother of a victim, I was lucky enough to survive however, and she is thankful for that. If Melanie had tapered off the drugs instead of taking MORE drugs and getting shocked, she might still be here today. My mom is working on Isaac's law, and my friend Camille is proposing Sarina's law, to ban antidepressants. I'd love to see the reaction that would get from people who support HR20.
Reread the bill please. It pushes drugs as essential. As for reality, we do not need to do more drug studies on minorities, force treat people with drugs that have been proven ineffective and dangerous. If there were a safe "drug" for PPD I would be all in favor of it. However that is not the case. Drug companies should not have tax dollars for new drugs when they have a track record of not marketing safer derivatives, and they leave the most dangerous ones on the market without warning.
good on you.. its about time more people stand up against these money hungry scumbags. Have signed and passed on to friends and family. Your boys are adorable ;)
My first statement was that I have 5 children. I had postpartum depression with one (but not again after that one). It was horrible. I did not get off the couch for a week, after that it was 2 months before I was better.
I got better without drugs, thankfully, with the support of friends and family.
I think that this should all be between the pregnant woman and her doctor. It should never be given to the government.
We all know what happens when government steps in. Look at the No Child left behind act, the war on drugs, the war on terror, medicare, social security... It seems that everything they touch gets wrecked To any of the 'helpful' programs, there are always unintended negative effects for the people while special interests milk the programs at the tax payer expense, CEOs get rich and the people turn into sheep.
I had post partum depression after one of my 5. (I did not have it again for the next child.) I could not even get up off the couch. The severest part lasted a week, then it was 2 months before I was better. I did not take any drugs. I was helped with support of family and friends.
This bill is disguised as helping mothers. After all who could object to that? But it is not what the real intention is.
Educate the women? Isn't that the job of the mother and doctor team?
The bill is posted on my website. I do not believe Melanie Stokes would like this stupid bill either. She was treated with multiple drugs which cause psychosis and suicide and homicide. Her child was lucky to survive the treatment. I think that these people who are pushing for this bill need to get a grip and read the bill more carefully and get educated on these issues and stop labeling moms and pushing drugs on them.
Yes, go read the bill. It is a total nightmare. All of these people who are supporting it are extremely ignorant about meds. The bill is going to refer you to a mental health care provider if you are considered at risk for or showing warning signs of mental "disorders" the bill does absolutely nothing to help anyone, it will increase prescriptions.
Thank you for standing up to the ignorant people who want to push their ideas on the whole country and take away our freedom. We must fight back with truth and ensure our freedom and right to life.
Hmmm... disappointed that they didn't make it more clear that the urges came AFTER the drugging, not before. Oh well, at least its getting press and maybe people will educate themselves.
it does kind of sound bad but if you listen over and over it's easier to hear her say "she believes was fueld by an antidepressant"
I was incorrectly prescribed it to begin with for anxiety... how is that for irony... first I was scared that my baby might die since he nearly died, then I take Zoloft and suddenly I am afraid I am going to kill him... Thanks Pfizer.
Yes, that would be true but my OBGYN never even cared to hear what had happened to Isaac, all he wanted to know was what the home health nurse had decided... The shrink at the hospital actually told me that Isaac didn't almost die (and they put this lie in my report)
I guess the OB wanted to get back to the hospital or his other patients so he could perform some more episiotomies or sections.
I suffered postpartum depression with 2 of my 7 births. The last thing I needed was drugs! That only would have made a bad situation worse by putting me out of control of my own self.
There are definitely reasons - medical and otherwise - why women suffer this type of thing following childbirth.
By giving us drugs for psychiatric disorders, the doctors are completely ignoring the very real need for PROPER treatments.
Dr. Breggin worked for the US government studying classified files of the psychiatric affects of anti depressants, now this psychiatrist is also providing a service at Breggin dot com. My niece had no life from the meds they put her on and she weined herself off because she couldn't finish high school or hold a job. 5 years of her life wasted and now she is med free finishing school, working and living.
I was holding out hope that there was some reason Clinton had not signed on to the bill when all of the sudden, she signed on this past Monday. I guess the drug company money is more important to her than standing up to Obama and Kennedy to help save our future.
Glad you got the word out. Too bad they only gave you a few seconds to speak. I hope others go to your video and keep it to share with others who will eventually open up their eyes to the big picture! DRUGS, DRUGS AND MORE DRUGS! Don't you feel saturated with DRUGS! I hate them! All the Ads on TV I have to MUTE! Nausiating... Jarvik with his Lipitor, what kind of a doctor has the balls to sell drugs right on TV??
How can that doctor that they interviewed say that with a straight face... we need to identify those who can benefit from treatment... and who exactly would that be?????? Is she illiterate because for the last month I have seen nothing but articles and journal publications sounding the alarm that their drugs do not work and they double the risk of suicide. Who is willing to swallow that? Would this doctor take the pills? I wonder...
yes I am sick of drug ads... just like I am sick of ads for scary death movies... it's all a bit too much like subliminal programming and Lord knows when I popped that pill I had the zoloft ad in my mind, and the impression that it was innocuous like thyroid meds or insulin
Sorry my quality stinks in parts of the video, but PLEASE help me stop this. If you don't want to kiss your babies goodbye or see our next generation ruined... Just found out Clinton signed on on Monday. I guess she caved to the PSI and drug pusher people because they have the most money.
OMG, I take Effexor, have for years.....now I'm scared, if I stay on Effexor I could go hurt people? And if I go off, I could hurt myself!!! What the heck am I supposed to do? Are there any safe anit-depressants? Without meds I'm suicidal.

When we inquired with members of your movement asking for evidence that the drugs work safely they could come up with none.
amyphilo 4 years ago
"You can assume and believe what you want but that does not make it true."
Very interesting that you should say this, because you're consistently wrong about the drugs not working.
FreePlay 3 years ago
I suppose that the drug companies are wrong as well, and so is the NEJM, BJM and PLOS.
amyphilo 3 years ago
Hi Amy.
LulzContingent 4 years ago
I'm sure she knows. Consistently using words like "psych drugs" is evidence that she *is* a scientologist.
FreePlay 3 years ago
FreePlay, they are known as psychiatric drugs. Psych drugs is a short term. Your comment is ridiculous. If I said USA instead of UNITED STATES OF AMERICA that would not change my religion or beliefs, that is called saving comment space.
amyphilo 3 years ago
Having one or two accounts where something bad has happened is a stupid reason to completely give up on medical science and wanting to help people. So there was one doctor that gave too many pills, that does not mean that the whole system as a whole does not work.
samthehydra 4 years ago
Wow you sure are misguided. The research on antidepressants proves that they do not work and that they are the cause of homicide and suicide. 80% of adult suicides in Sweden were from psych drug users. There is nothing wrong with helping mothers, however antidepressants are a bad choice and the only people that would help would be PhRMA and (if the bill passes) the nonprofits & state willing to get moms to comply with the mothers act... because those groups will get grants to get compliance.
amyphilo 4 years ago
Using the term "psych drug" is evidence of being a scientologist. Nice try.
FreePlay 3 years ago
I read of a person who took drugs ( i think benzedrine and cocaine) and he said that our bodies were crawling with ancient alien souls, He truly believed that these souls infested mankind and are what created all their problems. He said the only way to get rid of them was to enter hell through a wall of fire. It's amazing how the mind makes up separate realities when on drugs
anonymous10001 4 years ago
Cocaine and SSRIs are both serotonergic, just as PCP, METH, LSD etc... google serotonin syndrome...
amyphilo 4 years ago
A problem with this kind of advocacy is that you may inadvertently support dangerous cults that due to their "own" distrust of society at whole attack the mental health profession. Take Scientology for example. L R Hubbard, self professed leader was paranoid of health officials and wanted his version "world wide" Of course one man is no match to thousands who have created modern science but his ego could not 'handle" itself and he had to attack the whole institution.
anonymous10001 4 years ago
Even going so far as to say, all psyches or psych drugs are evil. This man is just paranoid delusional to something even more sinister. (like the above example i posted is OT3 from scientology books and apparently you die if you read it within three days (ridiculous!!!)
anonymous10001 4 years ago
You know what is sinister? Anyone who is ok with the idea of moms going out and killing their own children or themselves under the influence of drugs that are prescribed by a doctor - drugs which double the risk of suicide and lead to homicide during sleepwalk states etc. What is sinister is being ok with unnecessary deaths, promoting the drugs, etc.
amyphilo 4 years ago
I guess my comment from earlier never went through, but as I said before, I can't think of very many religions that are ok with murdering women and children and innocent bystanders nor are there very many religions that preach greed. What kind of person can look at the harm being caused by these drugs, and look at the science showing that they do not work, and turn around and promote them to more and more people. Exactly what are you really trying to do here?
amyphilo 4 years ago
No one is taking away rights. You are free to get second opinions and do research. How you can ingest a drug and not do research on it in this day and age is beyond my comprehension. I am going to be hard here and say, you are half at fault for not doing research. Now, the mothers bill is maybe good or bad depending on whose hands it's in. But same can be said for a lot of things. So the bill itself is inconsequential. If you want to make a difference, educate women on your own mistake.
anonymous10001 4 years ago
No one is taking away rights? But I am free to do research? And get second opinions? I don't recall anywhere in the bill where it says 1) that any mother is free to deny the screenings
If you are saying we are free to do research and get second opinions 1) you are saying that you agree we are required to be screened and referred
You have a twisted understanding of reality, obviously you have not come to understand the level of interferences from CPS and courts, and the amount of force already
amyphilo 4 years ago
"I don't recall anywhere in the bill where it says 1) that any mother is free to deny the screenings"
Didn't read it very well, did you?
"Sec.520K (c)(1)(C)SCREENING AND REFERRAL states "shall ensure that new mothers... are offered screenings for postpartum conditions..."
They're OFFERED screenings. You can reject an offer.
but hey, don't let that stop your scientologist crusade against the entire psychiatric industry.
FreePlay 3 years ago
Of course you have a choice, because the FDA has kept these drugs on the market. People with mental disorders should have the right to choose whether or not they want to be screened or drugged, or whether they want to be left alone. Women need to be allowed to discover the root cause of their problems, not pushed into psych treatment which so often forces and ignores the risks of drugs.
amyphilo 4 years ago
The bill is about educating all expecting mothers about PPD and making sure all resources are available to them. It just so happens that PPD is a psychological ailment. Vitamins aren't going to do the trick.
filorps 4 years ago
Nobody is shoving pills down anyone's throat.
Therapy, counciling, and yes... drugs. Education is the important part of the bill IMO.
filorps 4 years ago
This bill is clearly trying to educate people to take drugs for something that the people who wrote the bill obviously do not understand. The drugs do not work, this is an obvious ploy to force us to get the drugs because there are fewer willing patients left. Their child's life is significantly at risk if they take drugs. Consent is not always given... I do not see anything in the bill regarding informed consent or refusal at all. I was forced-treated myself. Police force women into hospitals.
amyphilo 4 years ago
"The drugs do not work"
Try again, scientologist.
My life without Zoloft was unmanageable. Now it's perfectly fine. The drugs work, 100%.
FreePlay 3 years ago
All resources are available to them? The bill says that the antidepressants and hospitals are considered essential treatments. Unfortunately the drugs are doing the opposite of what would be best for our bodies and brains. The drugs don't do the trick. Actually, if you are saying vitamins don't do the trick, that must be coming from a very pro-drug stance. Below you say that nobody is pushing drugs but here you are saying that vitamins don't work. Research Omega 3 & nutrition.
amyphilo 4 years ago
If you were to say the same thing about cocaine, LSD, PCP and meth... what would be the expected response? All of these were once prescription psych drugs, now banned.
The government must not force ineffective and deadly drugs on us, especially when there are things that do work safely. The proposal is insulting. It's comical that you needed me to explain the alternatives. Yet you think that the existing language and support offered by the proposed law would be sufficient to help mothers.
amyphilo 4 years ago
Last but not least, if you really want your bill to pass, you might want to have an attorney look at it to remove the inconsistencies, contradictions, errors, and falsehoods. The bill will be challenged if it passes, for all of the constitutional rights it removes... and it will probably be overturned simply because it is so stupid and contradicts itself and therefore can never be legally upheld. Also you might want to consider having your organization stop pushing drugs to prevent fraud suits.
amyphilo 4 years ago
If you really wanted people to support it you would not be denying the language in the bill, you would get behind it. However, there is no logical argument to support the actual langauge in the bill, so you can't. I also think it was foolish of certain people to spend hours writing me emails to play games, but then decide it was useless and stop, only to use the comments they have seen online from some who oppose the bill as examples of "hysterical rants." It doesn't make for good PR either.
amyphilo 4 years ago
What else is not logical is the fact that the people pushing for the bill have drawn a tremendous amount of negative attention their way with the silly campaign to deny truth about what is in the bill... it seems like a contradiction between the desire not to be caught in the act of fraud with drug pushing and the desire to fool people into supporting a bill.
amyphilo 4 years ago
I defy any woman to answer the edinburgh depression scale honestly throughout her pregnancy and first year postpartum without failing it... and being subsequently treated by her doctor. What happens to those who refuse treatment or screening? Docs aren't scared to call the cops on us... or lock us up.
amyphilo 4 years ago
As for logic - what is logical about putting moms on drugs during pregnancy and postpartum... What is logical about using drugs that are proven ineffective... What is logical about using drugs that cause suicide and homicide and infant death? What is logical about taking away the rights of all mothers when not too many mothers actually get depressed? As for well-meaning, yes - that is true, I mean well. And we are not going to put up with those who want the opposite - whose actions cause deaths
amyphilo 4 years ago
What the remainder of the bill says is that the law is going to ensure that mothers are screened. IT says this multiple times. There are many contradictions and mistruths in the bill itself, and I encourage EVERYONE to read it carefully. Your interpretation of the law is negated by the language throughout the proposed law. You also ignore the fact that it is extremely harmful and will increase prescriptions and thereby increase the body count.
amyphilo 4 years ago
Um... what is the definition of ensure... where does it say which mothers are exempt? To say legal documents are confusing?>>>>>> I am not stupid if that is what you are implying. YOu have the right to believe what ever you want. You do not have the right to force your beliefs on the country. You must have missed the part where they refer to making sure moms get essential services, which are defined as meds and hospitals when "necessary" - but a drug that does not even work is never necessary.
amyphilo 4 years ago
What would be most interesting is to find out where you came from and what your real name is and why you are so in favor of pushing your beliefs on the entire country. I know that many organziations pushing for this are misinformed, as well as stand to receive grants for enforcing the proposed law. In contrast, I want to save mothers and babies from unnecessary death. I know that you joined youtube specifically to comment on my videos but I'm not sure that you actually want new info.
amyphilo 4 years ago
WHILE YOU ARE REREADING THE BILL ON MY WEBSITE think about our human rights. If you were told you had to be screened for mental illness, perhaps you would not have a problem with it... but I would. I do not believe the government has the right to invade our privacy that way. I do not put faith in psychiatrists and their bogus screening questions. Nor do I think they deserve the right to check on me. I refuse all psychiatric screening and treatment no matter what. Don't feel like dying today.
amyphilo 4 years ago
the bill says over and over that meds and hospitals are necessary and that the government is requiring screening and referral ("ensure" is the word they use). Doctors can force treat you, CPS can check on you... hospitals can lock you up... There is nothing in the bill stating that we have a right to refuse screening or warning that the medications can cause suicide and homicide and death. Look at uniteforlife dot org and read about the NJ moms who were taken to hospitals by police... standard.
amyphilo 4 years ago
YES go to uniteforlife dot org and read the bill with my comments
TO summarize, NON PROFIT GROUPS AND STATES will be given grants to ensure that mothers are referred. The bill requires all moms to be screened. The bill requires referral of mothers to mental health care providers if they are at risk for or show warning signs of depression or other mental illness, pushes prenatal screening and earlier treatment, and says that meds are essential. Also, they mention researching on minorities.
amyphilo 4 years ago
Also, do you think that it is FREE CHOICE when women are picked up by cops and taken to the hospital, or when they are locked up at the hospital, or when they are treated with drugs without informed consent, or when they are told to stay on a drug that winds up killing them? If the choices were made clear: die on these drugs, or stay alive, Melanie Stokes would have chosen life. And Andrea Yates' children would have chosen not to be murdered b/c of drugs. And Manie would choose a normal heart.
amyphilo 4 years ago
One of my message never showed up...
Prevention, safe and effective treatments:
so many!
There are people on my website who've treated these things safely & successfully for decades
amyphilo 4 years ago
The MOTHERS Act DOES negate our freedom of choice from the first sentence to the last. It pushes drugs that kill, and fails to help mothers. Women are capable of seeking help, they do not have to have the government screen them and target them. I find it strange that you think the MOTHERS Act is not about taking away our choices. That is what the bill is about. The bill is one giant laundry list of ways to oppress and kill us.
amyphilo 4 years ago
Furthermore, babies who have been exposed to "antipsychotic drugs" have DIED. The drugs can cause sudden death in the mom. The origin of antipsychotic drugs is from insecticides.
You are promoting poison.
As for prevention, the vast majority of PPD and psychosis can be prevented with proper nutrition, natural childbirth, enough rest, and good support from family & friends. Also you must rest after birth. Orthomolecular medicine (extremely high doses of vitamins) cures. CHECK Thyroid, adrenals..
amyphilo 4 years ago
^^ scientologist
Suggesting that high doses of vitamins can cure anything is ridiculous, dangerous nonsense.
High doses of vitamins can KILL you.
FreePlay 3 years ago
High doses of Zoloft can cause you to kill yourself or kill you through toxicity. It would take way more vitamin B and C than is recommended to even cause any side effects whatsoever. God did not put Prozac on the branches of trees and vines.
amyphilo 3 years ago
To learn more about the unproven and in fact dangerous anti-psychotics, you should visit my website. uniteforlife dot org. "Antipsychotics" damage the brain so severely that they guarantee that you will have recurrences of psychosis and that they will be more severe. In fact, these drugs shorten your lifespan. The risk of death is increased by a factor of 2.5 for each drug you take. It's a chemical lobotomy. Additionaly, they do not stop psychosis, they are actually pro-psychotic drugs.
amyphilo 4 years ago
If you think it is helpful to educate people with psychiatric dogma, when there are already gobs and gobs of proven treatments that are safe, not to mention prevention strategies, then I think you have a lot to learn.
amyphilo 4 years ago
Additionally, Melanie's mom may be in favor of this bill but that does not make it a good bill. My mom is the mother of a victim, I was lucky enough to survive however, and she is thankful for that. If Melanie had tapered off the drugs instead of taking MORE drugs and getting shocked, she might still be here today. My mom is working on Isaac's law, and my friend Camille is proposing Sarina's law, to ban antidepressants. I'd love to see the reaction that would get from people who support HR20.
amyphilo 4 years ago
Reread the bill please. It pushes drugs as essential. As for reality, we do not need to do more drug studies on minorities, force treat people with drugs that have been proven ineffective and dangerous. If there were a safe "drug" for PPD I would be all in favor of it. However that is not the case. Drug companies should not have tax dollars for new drugs when they have a track record of not marketing safer derivatives, and they leave the most dangerous ones on the market without warning.

Part 1 vanished.
It should never be given to the government.
yankee1nfidel 4 years ago
Part 2 of comment:
We all know what happens when government steps in. Look at the No Child left behind act, the war on drugs, the war on terror, medicare, social security... It seems that everything they touch gets wrecked To any of the 'helpful' programs, there are always unintended negative effects for the people while special interests milk the programs at the tax payer expense, CEOs get rich and the people turn into sheep.
This is no different.
yankee1nfidel 4 years ago 2
I had post partum depression after one of my 5. (I did not have it again for the next child.) I could not even get up off the couch. The severest part lasted a week, then it was 2 months before I was better. I did not take any drugs. I was helped with support of family and friends.
This bill is disguised as helping mothers. After all who could object to that? But it is not what the real intention is.
Educate the women? Isn't that the job of the mother and doctor team?
yankee1nfidel 4 years ago
The bill is posted on my website. I do not believe Melanie Stokes would like this stupid bill either. She was treated with multiple drugs which cause psychosis and suicide and homicide. Her child was lucky to survive the treatment. I think that these people who are pushing for this bill need to get a grip and read the bill more carefully and get educated on these issues and stop labeling moms and pushing drugs on them.
amyphilo 4 years ago
Yes, go read the bill. It is a total nightmare. All of these people who are supporting it are extremely ignorant about meds. The bill is going to refer you to a mental health care provider if you are considered at risk for or showing warning signs of mental "disorders" the bill does absolutely nothing to help anyone, it will increase prescriptions.

it does kind of sound bad but if you listen over and over it's easier to hear her say "she believes was fueld by an antidepressant"
I was incorrectly prescribed it to begin with for anxiety... how is that for irony... first I was scared that my baby might die since he nearly died, then I take Zoloft and suddenly I am afraid I am going to kill him... Thanks Pfizer.
amyphilo 4 years ago
I watched your video about it. Leave it to a doctor to pathologize a mother's anxiety after her child's near death experience.
mlooshka 4 years ago
Yes, that would be true but my OBGYN never even cared to hear what had happened to Isaac, all he wanted to know was what the home health nurse had decided... The shrink at the hospital actually told me that Isaac didn't almost die (and they put this lie in my report)
I guess the OB wanted to get back to the hospital or his other patients so he could perform some more episiotomies or sections.
amyphilo 4 years ago
And they have the gall to call this kind of thing "screening and support"...
mlooshka 4 years ago
Thank you, Amy!

Amy,
Glad you got the word out.
Lindaraps97 4 years ago
How can that doctor that they interviewed say that with a straight face... we need to identify those who can benefit from treatment... and who exactly would that be?????? Is she illiterate because for the last month I have seen nothing but articles and journal publications sounding the alarm that their drugs do not work and they double the risk of suicide. Who is willing to swallow that? Would this doctor take the pills? I wonder...
amyphilo 4 years ago
yes I am sick of drug ads... just like I am sick of ads for scary death movies... it's all a bit too much like subliminal programming and Lord knows when I popped that pill I had the zoloft ad in my mind, and the impression that it was innocuous like thyroid meds or insulin
