The uniqueness of his voice and sweet rough edges in his breath makes him one of the few stand alone singers who can bring feelings in the song with their gifted voice at it's best. Unlike other musicians, Illayaraja doesn't tune just good numbers, but he produces a tune which exactly fits to every aspect of the Sitution in a Movies (Story, character, costumes etc., etc.,).. Having said this, there should be a strong reason why he had chosen to render this song by himself, and by singing in a so called 'constipated' way
