  • Im from Serbia,can a bue this

  • what a waste of money. these clips are useless. the spring is so weak they will not push a loop to the outside of an empty borehole nevermind once you have grout around it. it would be cheaper to add footage than add clips. also try holding back a loop once your down 400 ft. so you can add a clip. you might ass well try using a $5.00 bill to seperate your loop. it will cost the same and do just as good.the only one these clips work for is the people making a profit off the poor sucker buying it.

  • I certainly don' t intend to argue, as you have your opinion based on your experience. But the company I work for has studied this and tested it. We also have test and thermal conductivity data for VHE's across the country. There is no data to support any beneficial effects from the use of geoclips, even on the same site. I do have an idea of what I'm talking about, I'm currently involved in probably one of the biggest geothermal projects in the country. Over 1000 tons, 800 bores at 250' depth.

  • Geoclips do not guarantee placement of the pipes in the borehole, and system size should never be reduced with the assumption that they will. The spring tension is simply not strong enough. Reducing the capacity of the system based on that is asking for trouble. Also, the grout level in the bores should always be re-checked until they are stable. Grout loss to certain formations happens frequently and then you are left with a system that does not work as designed.

  • @JBCalander I agree and we don't reduce loop size. Although I mentioned it in the video, I didn't advocate doing it. We also re-check grout levels. As far as the spring tension in the clip, you have know idea what you are talking about. I've actually had to dig up a geo clip'd section after the grout had set up and have first hand proof that each side of the loop was as far away from each other as possible, pushed to the outer wall of the bore hole.
