  • but very good either way!

  • not that i am critisizing but ive always called it a dry roll

  • The 4.7 is better for kids than the standard, which is what I used at that age. Though I could reef the sail, It was very difficult to get the sail out of the water if the wind was blowing.

  • wow he is really young to sail laser. At my club you have to be 15 to sail a 4.7 or radial- mostly 4.7

  • @LUCASgProductions I'm no expert sailer and I was sailing a radial at the age of 10-11ish and I did just fine. I did it maybe like 5 times at least for quite a while, and I never capsized. As long as you understand the fundamentals of sailing, and understand how to right it when it capsizes/turtles. They're incredibly fun to sail.

  • i love doing that especially when the water is cold so i dont get cold

  • Is it just me that calls the move in the video a "dry capsize" or is it just called a "walkover"??

Very good for a 11 year old to learn young that when your boat goes over you dont "need" to get wet.

  • @sailafeva that's what i've always called it, but they all work i guess

  • @sailafeva I call them dry rolls. Your terminology is also just fine, as that is essentially what it is.

  • Mathew just turned 11 when he did this walkover.

  • nice.

  • how old was he when he got in a laser?

  • Im 13 and i can do a walkovr easily

  • Awesome! I knew this could be done but I've never seen it.

I've always opted for the "SHIIII - *Sploosh*" option

  • hahaha i'll have to agree with you one that one.

  • i must say nicely done

  • Smooth!
