  • This song is such a clusterfuck of sadness and depression... I love it. It ends on such an amazingly off chord, too; it's uneasy and sad just like the song.

  • sounds like a mix of elliott smith and the beatles :) awesome.

  • @carlxrussell|||| you need to bite your tongue as hard as you can... and when you think you've bitten too hard, punch yourself in the chin.

  • cant belive this guy is 40 years old he looks 29 ish even younger

  • Does anyone know the chords for this song? If so, could you tell me them? Thanks!

  • lol voice crack 1:39

  • @CoolVideoCrap The voice crack makes it sad :(

  • im sad that only 12,000-ish people have gone to youtube to listen to this... i know others have the legit album but still, bieber gets millions of views for complete garbage.

  • this is probably one of the only good songs that came out of 1995

  • rivers needs to get back to where he writes best stuff

  • this song's, like, better than any weezer song on their last five albums.

  • true dat brother.

  • @JimmyVonJim

    Try last 3.

The only good albums are Blue, Pinkerton, and Maladroit (Somewhat).

That's why I enjoy Cuomo's Alone albums. Some of the songs are gems of the Pinkerton era, and some feel like they should have been on a completely different album from Blue and Pinkerton.

  • @jamesandjackproducts don't forget the green album came about between pinkerton and maladroit. that being said, i definitely agree with you that maladroit is the best album after pinkerton and blue. later.

  • @jamesandjackproducts eh, i prob misunderstood your comment and pointed out something that you already knew. my bad.

  • @JimmyVonJim

It's alright. Green wasn't great, but Make Believe made me die a little inside. Red had two good songs on it. Raditude was just why?

  • this feels beatles, man rivers is awesome

  • Is there any place that sells Homie's album? This song is originally for them, Rivers was in it.

  • Homie never released an album. There is a tribute album out for download, however, by a duo from the AlbumSix fan forum.

  • I wish somebody would upload "this is the way"

  • love this song. glad it's now a clear version and not a bootleg. :P

  • buddy holly anybody? this is awesome.

  • sounds sorta like the beatles <3 awe

  • yeah lol i just ntoiced ur comment, i ssaid the same thing tho

  • @1turkeysub you bite your tongue.

  • Good song and lyrics, I like rivers. Little pitchy at parts though

  • his voice is always kinda pitchy, it sounds good

  • It's not like we were completely meant to hear this when it was recorded. This was just a demo that Rivers recorded for the band to record or for his own self observation. He was just nice enough to put some of his demos out for the fans.

  • this actually makes me kinda sad

  • i think people are most genious when their lonely

  • Aww :-(

    Rivers rocks.

  • Holy shit, he plays this song in Video Capture Device.

  • whats a video capture device?

  • It's the DVD Weezer put out four years or more ago.

It's called Weezer: Video Capture Device.

If you like Weezer a lot, I'd most definitely recommend picking it up. It's really interesting.

  • I have it, it is the shizz!!!! THey are my favorite band of all time, and i was allways wondering where ican find these songs.

  • i love this.

    Rivers is brilliant

  • :)

    ....

  • I love weezer so much. Fucking amazing.

  • this is such a fucking amazing song

  • sad...:(

  • rivers is a big influence to me great songs! =w= forever

  • this is one of my top 5 songs written by cuomo

  • i thought this song was originally written for the movie angus?

  • It was originally intended for Angus. sirilluminator has his information garbled. Rivers was in a band called Homie that played a song for the soundtrack of Meet the Deedles.

  • I thought the song written for Angus was 'You Gave Your Love to Me Softly.'

  • well 'Wanda' was intended for Angus but it took rivers longer to write 'Wanda' so they used 'You Gave Your Love to Me Softly' instead

  • right.

  • Actually, the movie-dudes turned it down because they wanted something more mainstream and popular.

  • so instead they chose green day's "j.a.r"

  • Comment removed

  • Not entirely. Yes they did choose J.A.R. by Green Day, but Weezer's You Gave Your Love To Me Softly was included in the soundtrack for Angus as well.

Weezer had their song, it just wasn't Wanda.

  • Awesome song!

(If you can please upload the song "This is the way", thanks)

    ^_^

  • Good song

  • Great Song! RIVERS CUOMO = PoP GENIUS ! ! !
