Madonna at her best was in the 90's. "Erotica" was very creative and full of different sounds, "Bedtime Stories" was so soft and well R&B-executed songs, "Ray Of Light" was so experimental and deep.

That's why I love about the 90's, compare 1992's Erotica and 1998's Ray Of Light, there's a huge gap in style and looks, now compare 2003's American Life to 2008's Hard Candy...it's just about the same.
