Their only saving grace is their tesselation performance over ATIs cards. And what? Like 2 games use tesselation?

Those gtx 360/380 benchmarks are fucking fake. Why? Because both the 5870 and 5970 are made worse than they really are. This is basically like the xbox and ps3. The first one dominates and then the second one is deagine not to push the limits but beat it's counterpart. The 5990 will shit on the gtx 360's parade xD am I will buy a 5870 because the others will help card prices crash :D

there are new benchmarks from GTX360 and GTX380, YOU MUST SEE!!!.

GTX360 is the same as the HD5970, but the GTX360 is a single gpu and the gtx380 is really a fast SINGLE GPU CARD!!!, it's something like 20% faster than a hd5970.

5970 has a big overclocking potential, and the drivers are too young, so after a month or two with new drivers and overclocked to it's limits it can pass GPU score of 26000 in 3D vantage easily!!!

Uh, except for having dual gpu's and the eyefinity and stuff like that, nothing really ahead, Nvidia released their first 40nm GPU on the GT240 model, plus it's the first GDDR5 card form Nvidia, so I wonder what's next for them.. It's always like this in the pc hardware market, especially with graphics card. They come out with new stuff every month or so and one always gets on top of the other brand for a period of time.. big, vicious, circle. But yeah, Nvidia will catch up without a doubt.

The 295 is not that far behind it in performance, roughly 30%. As far as dx11 geos i dont see any games using it except like 3 small titles, eg battleforge. DX 10.1 is was basically just a marketing action by ATI.

I do like ATI and the 5970 as i have ATI products and Nvidia products, but i still think the 5970 is somewhat overpriced in my opinion.
