Hey i have a problem. When ive set it up i get 2 audio streams? Which is kinda annoying but only 1 shows up in the recording so thats good, but my real problem is theres a LOT of static and high pitched sounds. I get it even when my PSP is muted. Anyone else had this problem?

So I plugged the audio cable into my PSP and PC, but I'm not getting any sound from my PSP on my PC. I've tried going into the "Recording Devices" window and checking that the Stereo Mix is enabled (and it is), but still nothing. Anyone else know how to solve this problem?

You forgot to add that both PSP screen and PC screen lags like friggin hell during RemoteJoying. There are better ways to record PSP screen. That tutorial is pretty useless. No offense

great tut! took 10 minutes to do everything and it works like a charm =) it's also nice to see someone else using camtasia studio.

the only downside is that by having a phat psp type my usb doesn't recharge it >_> so i have to keep an eye on batteries and plug the charger if needed

i have the BSR screen recorder and custom firmware 5.00 M33 and can record my GTA Chinatown Wars CSO, no trouble, but as soon as i try to record GTA VCS from the UMD it shuts the psp down before the loading screen... any tips or advice? cheers in advance..

@lovivos you won't do, if you plugged the cable in the headphone jack it stops playing from the psp speaker and plays it through whatever soundcard you have in the pc. EG. My mixer allows me to hear the line in as well as the wav, so i can hear the psp sound and sound from the computer. There's nothing really to help you with, but thats probably why its not playing from your psp... lol

No, its not. Its 333Mhz CPU isn't nearly powerful enough to manage to play the games at full speed AND record directly to the memory stick. With remotejoy, your PC is doing the encoding making it a bit easier on the PSP. Doesn't matter if you have CFW or not.

i have a dell inspiron 1501 laptop and i can only record the screen but not the sound even thouh i use a male to male audio cable anything i'm doin wrong or it only works for desktop computers cause it has a bigger audio/sound card than laptops?

no, actually i own a laptop myself, thing is that laptop's line in is on the mic, plug it on the mic. go to volume control and go to options and click on properties and on the drop down list put input and select recording and mark all available then click ok, select your microphone and make sure you put it at decent volume level and close, that should do it. (plug male cable on mic jack on laptop [just in case...])

I believe it depends on what you are recording. If you are recording something like your desktop, then I would go with camtasia. But if you're recording a game, then Fraps is best in my opinion, since fraps was intentionally made to just record gaming footage. The others weren't, so it's possible that it may have its flaws when recording something different; they are all good though.

camtasia is much better overall. Hypercam not good quality n camtasia has alot of good options and easy to use. Fraps is just to record your screen also so it hyper cam but camtasia is a recorder and a video editor like mindows movie maker but much better
