  • respect from england ^_^

  • I HAVE HOMIES FROM BERMUDA AND I BEEN THERE TWICE, AND THEY SOUND MORE OF LIKE AND BRITSH ACCENT BUT THEY HAVE THATS GULLY ILSAND CADENCE ALSO,, BUT IT CHANGES WHEN THEY GET ON THE MIC,, THEY CAN SOUND ANYWAY WIT PTRACTICE

  • I'm Bermudian and i sound NOTHING like that... our accent is completely different... He sounds like that because he performs reggae and wants to be embraced in the culture-

  • LIKE JAMAICA, BERMUDA.. TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO, AND SO ON.. WERE CONQUERED BY THE BRITISH AT ONE POINT !!, MIGRATED TO THE ISLANDS AND HUALAAAA! YOU HAVE WHITE CARIBBEANS!, THERE'S ALSO A BIG INDIAN INFLUENCE IN JAMAICAN AND THE REST OF THOSE ISLANDS NEAR BY!. YOU PEOPLE NEED TO READ UP ON YOUR S*** AND NOT BE SURPRISED AND BE LIKE * OMG HE'S WHITE AND HE'S CARIBBEAN* WITH A ACCENT. WTF!? dumb americans i tell u..

  • SOME PEOPLE ARE IGNORANT UP IN HERE, HELLO BERMUDA IS ANOTHER CARIBBEAN NATION THAT HAVE THAT PATOA WAY OF TALKING!, IS NOT ONLY JAMAICA YOU RETARDS!, EVERYONE HAS THEIR CARIBBEAN ACCENT, JAMAICA, TRINI AND TOBAGO, ST KITTS, BERMUDA, BAHAMMAS.. BARBADOS, ALL OF EM NATIONS HAVE THAT SIMILAR ACCENT!! NOT JUST JAMAICA, AND NOT ALL CARIBBEANS HAVE TO BE F*** BLACK!!. JUST LIKE NOT EVERYONE IN AFRICA IS BLACK HELLO, YOU ALL EVER HEARD OF *SOUTH AFRICA*?. WELL IF YOU KNOW YOUR HISTORY, SUCH NATIONS

  • @JGA1980 Bermuda is NOT a Carribean island!!!! GO LOOK AT A MAP!!!!! Our descendants can trace our ancestry to the Carribean BUT BERMUDA IS IN NORTH AMERICA lol!!!!

  • Love this guy, fuk da haters who hate on his accent!! Jamaica forever

  • i would love to meet him but hey his songs would do!

  • collie is awesome and all, but dude. You're from Bermuda.. not Jamaica get rid of the damn accent.

  • @jbird411 even if hes from bermuda he will still have a sort of carribean accent lol

  • He sounds so jamaican.. he's white. wtf

  • @TeePeeProductions he's a white american but he was raised in bermuda from a young age

  • Jamaican is not a race by the way. It's a culture. The Island is mostly of African descent but, you can find many people of various backgrounds including European (gasp!!!) there and other Caribbean Islands as well. He's obviously overemphasizing his own accent to play into the whole dancehall vibe. This is nothing new, black reggae artists do it all the time. Leave his race out of it. You sound ignorant. Real west indians don't give a damn, if the music is fyah, that is all that matters.

  • ye know what i'm saying?

  • u can still hear an american hint in his accent

  • the ony reason you keep talking bu!?/:'" about his accent and his nationality is because he is white. shame on u. racists ! if his skin was black the coments will be diferent

  • I wonder how he ended up moving from the usa to bermuda

  • @pepperjack91 his dad died

  • @pepperjack91 his dad died and back in the day white people could get good jobs in the Caribbean, at least that how it is on my island

  • @Shaddowkhan lots of whites in Bermuda, one of my white friends is from there, he was saying something like a 60/40 black to white ratiio

  • 3:51 Ye. . . . . yeah not so much.

  • YEAH YE KNOA!!!!!!

  • ii love collie buddz! snm

  • Why are all you fucking foreigners who dont know any island or west indian, carribbean culture commenting like you know about our accents? We our from these countries dont state "he doesnt sound like hes from berumda" Your fuckign wrong he sounds like he is to me and all other people from the islands and carribean. I hate when people speak like they know but they dont know jack shit. And you pissed me off time to bring my "fake" accent out GUYANESE style GO SUCK YA MUDAS SKUNT RASSSSSSSS

  • i actually thought he was american . But he is like kind of Jamaican . awesome man !!

    he is great

  • Im from Bermuda!!!!!

    - Mimi -

  • 2:53- 2:55 sounds irish

  • what the fuck did he say at 00:27

  • @Awilling14

    "Dat is Collie boy?"

  • @Awilling14 haha he just said "yeah you know"

  • @qbanchick17 no i mean the black guy, right after

  • @Awilling14 oh yea lmao is kinda hard to understand by i think he said "there are some of you out there who didn't know this is what collie buddz looks like"....or sumthin along those lines

  • @qbanchick17 hahahaha ok i can't understand him at all

  • full sail?

hmmm i heard that school is full of shit but i always wanted to go there

  • Is he mixed race?

  • WTF did he just say in the beginning ROLF LMAO XD

  • @thakrim said finally the herbs come around lol

  • god, that accent is so sexy.

  • I can't believe people are still talkin about this dude's background. He's a MAJOR artist in the islands, esp. Jamaica. U catz are crazy. Ur millions of records too late.

  • @RizNJ, actually I saw Collie Buddz perform in Jamaica and the crowd wasn't feeling him at all. He has sold millions of records, but don't get it twisted, his biggest fan base is in the U.S. and Europe...so to say "especially Jamaica" is quite misleading. When it comes to foreign reggae artistes, for years now the most respected white reggae artiste in Jamaica is Gentleman (from Germany)...Collie Buddz is not even on their radar. It's not about being a "hater" but let's keep it real.

  • @jahlionpr -- You misunderstand what I'm saying. I am not saying that he's the best foreign artist in JA. What I mean is there is no "who is this White guy?" reaction to Collie Buddz. Any dancehall fans in JA know his music and respect him as a real artist. His race is not an issue at all. Whether they love his music or not.

And not being felt at a reggae concert is not that rare. Jamaican crowds are very fickle. lol.

  • @RizNJ, kool kool...but the crowd wasn't fickle when it came to the other artistes...besides, you said he's a MAJOR artiste in the islands ESPECIALLY Jamaica...my yute, trust me...Jamaicans not studying Collie Buddz like that. He had some real good exposure with that tune "Come Around" but outside of that people not really ON him like dat dung a yard. MTV and the American media in general got people fooled. Things run very differently in the West Indies to how it's portrayed on TV.

  • @jahlionpr - I'm not going by MTV (which I don't watch). I'm going by living there. And I know he is not on the top level. Again, you're missing my point. There are many dancehall artists bigger than Collie Buddz in JA. But all of this questioning about what is he trying to do cuz he's white, is not happening in the islands. He's an established artist and it's just not an issue. Bless.

  • @jahlionpr Is strange dat you said the crowd wasnt feeling him at all, because his music is very popular dung yah. Even on the Sirius Satelite radio " 42 the joint" mi hear him music often,

  • Collie Buddz was born in Saudi Arabia, but then moved to Azerbaijan and grew up in the city of Baku. THAT's where he got his accent.

  • I would think he was cooler if he just rapped like a Jamaican and turned that accent completely off. Cause it does sound like he forcing that accent in interviews.

  • i luv him

  • it doesn't matter where your from if you hang with rastas long enough you will form the accent trust me, he still spreads the message stop hating negative people

  • @valleydub559 dumb ass

  • Comment removed

  • ya u know a 0:21 , 0:26 and wtf is he saying 0:28 - 0:31

  • @bessy1424

finally the herbs come, the high grade what mon ah look for, we stock it by the pound yea!! i know cause i'm from bermuda.

  • @bessy1424 " so that is collie boy, yeh i know some of you neva know but this is what collie buddz look like" . . .

  • I had no idea collie buddz went to full sail i used to live in orlando and had lots of friends that went there.

  • big up COLLIE BUDZ .....HATERS UNU GO SUCK UNU BOMBOCLAAT MOTHER A DAT MI SEH!!!

  • Omiigod am i iin Heaven Hes so effiin sexyy DAMN!!! ii wanna take hiiim homee Fackkk Hes juss so damn sexyy!! wooo needa calm myselff down lmao.. biitches cool yourr shiit!

  • people can seh whatever negative tings deh waan fi seh about collie buddz but yu know wah happen, he's one of di few artists dat has emerged on the music scene in recent years dat actually has real talent unlike alot of other so called singers and rappers who get a whole heap of attention dat deh dont deserve at all

  • I wish i was white and had that accent lol

  • @ wiseknowin777 the Bermuda accent is actually a more british accent. No self respecting man from Bermuda would ever sound like that unless he was actually visiting from Jamaica. Collie Buddz is a poser but with a population of 45,000 that is all Bermuda has to work with. Also he comes from a wealth family that can bank roll whatever he needs.

  • @aedryan1 how the fuck do u know dat? u act like u know him personally

  • @blackandmild77 Sorry I should have clarified. In his interviews and music Collie uses a fake Jamaican accent that is extremely flawed at best. That acccent is not native to Bermuda!!! It has come from countless hours of practice and sounds pakistani 89% of the time. Please see the video Crank Dat Gombey. This is in fact what a Bermudian accent should sound like. I am not hating, but thought I would put in my two cents.

  • pakistani?? you must be way stupider than you actually sound, and what formulations did you use to conclude that his accent is derived from 89% pakistani.

  • @sunsaah i was exagerating!! bottom line is that Collie's accent is not native of Bermuda.

  • @aedryan1 how do know are u from there to know dat?

  • @aedryan1 how do bermudans talk then..

  • @aedryan1 and u still havent answered my question of how u know dat his accent is not Bermudaian.

  • @blackandmild77 I was born and raised in Pembroke outside of Hamilton Bermuda. I know what the accent sounds like. There are a few differences between a few of the parishes but none would ever sound the way Colie Budz does.

  • @aedryan1 Well since you from dere how come you have negative tings to seh about him instead of supporting him?

  • @aedryan1 I get that part, furthermore he's from the Islands they all have British like accents even a jamiacan who doesn't speak patios has a British like accent...plus he's a Reggae musician, he's using the slang and dialect of the target audience....I know people in. NY who have Jamiacan parents, but they themselves were born in the states and never been to JA that can talk Patios on and off like its nothing...what's the difference? They aren't from Jamiaca neither, their parents are......

  • @wiseknowin777 Ur right its no different then a Hispanic person who was born and raised in the Bronx who can speak read and understand Spanish.

  • C'daynger

  • yes he is

  • Haterz are whack, haterz are whack...we are in a new day and age now people, it's not all about how much melanin we have in our skin! Those days are behind us, unfortunately there are still people in the world that try to ruin that peace for the rest of us...oh well just keep spreading the love I guess, Collie Buddz is amazing, no matter where he from/born/grew up/skin colour/language, who cares?

  • .I didn't know he went to Full Sail. Thats wassup. I went to Full Sail too.. I wonder what year he went.

  • ju lie turd

  • collie budz is so fake

  • @popstar1119 you cant make a statement like that and dont explain... so explain fool

  • @popstar1119 Then get the fuckk out stupiid ass

  • his accent sounds fake fro sum reason

  • @000surfin i know what ur sayin. i feel like i can hear an american accent under it

  • @000surfin the only reason you would say he's fake is because his skin is white......smh..

ppl are so close minded ..especially ppl im america..they some how still think everything is skintone..if you black you have to speak a certain way and if you white you speak a certain way..time has changed you ahve white folks growing around black folks from the jump..how the hell are they supposed to act?? u are what you are around..

    expand your minds

  • @xentricLoner umm thats definantly not the reason y i said it..i said because THATS WHAT I HEAR i dnt care if hes black or not ..black people can probably fake a jamaican accent too..so i dnt see what ur saying here..it has nothing to do with what i said 0_0

  • @000surfin no im saying if a black person is "faking a jamaican" accent.. u wouldnt give two thoughts to it...but if you hear a white person with jamaican accent you automatically think he's faking it cuz somehow ppl think a white person shouldnt have jamaican accent.

  • well if you are not from the caribean i you probably don't know how a fake accent would sound. His accent actually sound just fine. i am from jamaica and i have a lot of different races in my family for some reason when i am out white or asian looking people in my family people make comments towards the like " u are jafakon". that is sad that people in america judge them like that because they are born and raised in jamaica. just because they are not black people think their accents are fake.

  • @luvstef2000 soo wat exactly are u tellin me here

  • damn. son went to full sail.

  • remember............hes BLIND TO YOU FUCKING HATAAAAAAAAAASSSSS!!!!!!!!

  • "Doing what i love to do"

fuck the haters thats how you gotta be now adays.

  • ppl being silly about accent, de man was born in america, he grew up in bermuda, so obviously it have a hint of some american plus the bermudan accent kinda mix up itself anyway. I hear all kinda different bermuda accent before, just like t&t or JA, it have all kinda different strength of accent, some very strong, some barely there, canada, US, england, same ting so who cares?...he does what he does and he does it well...u tink wen artistes doin collabos they thinkin about that nonsense...plz...

  • I'd love to smoke chaiba with this guy

  • His accent (the one that doesn't sound Jamaican) is NOT American accent LOL!!! Its a bermudian accent... its an accent that sounds a little american and a little british but it is uniquely bermudian! Go to bermuda and listen to the way they sound... they sound like collie buddz!

  • i got an over board respect for de mon, here wha mi say .. just cuz he is white dnt mean nawting ..u herd wha him say dat him from bermuda ,like tamilscarface say remember hes blind to you haters .....wha'gwaan wit u haters , back off da mon and go link up wit da other bumba clotts ,dat dont have naw respect for buddz collie

  • pussyhooles look at the demographics of bermuda, theres more black man than white man wiv a whole load of slaves there. If the accent is fake then its fukry but the man is part of a movement taking reggae to the next level bringin it back intoo our clubs dun know

  • i love his voice... mmmm lol one of the very few white reggae artists i respect still

  • Ali-G all over again. "Ya knowa, me grew up wiv me nan."

  • he sucks

  • yeah y'know

  • he moved to bermuda when he was 4 so yeah he picked it up init

  • y people get so hype ova these thingz. In my professional life I am very proper n conservative. and wen I leave work I tru west indian. so he can switch it up if he like. nuff said.

  • that accent on a him especially cause he's white just makes him that much more sexy :))

  • omgsh!hes great!thats all we need to know!this isnt a geography lesson now!BLADY HELL

  • remember, hes blind to you haters

  • so true! :))

  • FROM NEW ORLEANS

  • no different than a Jamaican who was born in JA and moves tot he US at an early age and can use a Jamaican Patois accent when speaking amongst his countryman, and speak with a complete American accent while at work or in school......is he a wannabe too? you need to expand your horizons my friend, everything isn't black and white as you may think.......

  • True wiseknowin777.

  • @wiseknowin777 tru words of wisdom

  • @wiseknowin777 yeh u are right.. except this accent that collie budz sings is a FAKE accent.. he is from bermuda.. the bermudian accent is simalar to a british and american mix with a bit of its own unique slang.. trust me.. he is faking this accent everyoone in bermuda knows this. people from bermuda do not speak ANYTHING like the caribbean accents.

  • @wiseknowin777 well said

  • the coolest jamaican.

  • Thanks for posting the video....He's got Talent, he has the Jamaican vibes lock down....Love his music...I like especially that he's versatile.

  • hai in romania ca esti tare frate

  • hes so sexy!!!

  • I hate the fact that he say "Yeah you know" in every freakin song

  • @Djamil it's his call just like every other artist from reggae to Hip Hop..know your music plz

  • I know my music enough to say that annoying calls in the begining of songs is just some shit crap ass artists like t-pain and akon does, and FYI collie buddz aint a reggae artist he does dancehall and there's a huuuge difference so I think you're the one who needs to know your music better.

  • They are not annoying for the people who actually KNOW music. And FYI collie is a reggae artist. dancehall is a type of reggae just like conscious tune, lovers rock, etc. you the one that needs to learn music. and what makes u d expert? I am actually from an island so i should know.

You CLEARLY dont listen to reggae music b/c almost every artist has a call even the best. RESPECT

  • Movado- Anyway, gangster for life

    Sean paul - dutty yeh

Bounty killer used to say 'ayo yalo'

Elephant man - shizzle my nizzle

    Capleton - more fire

Serani - 'its its its serani!'

and the list goes on..tell me these artist are "shit crap ass artist' and you need to never tell anyone you know reggae better

    RESPECT

  • @kennetteburgess are yuh saying dancehall artists are shit???

  • @Bikendi100 Where did i say that? of course not, i love my dancehall, my conscious, and all REGGAE types. Bless

  • ignorance is bad....read some books, just dont believe the government. but look past the color peeps

  • Buddz Is DOPE!

  • I love his music but, when I watch videos of him, his accent just appears to be so bogus

  • da boy biggg, nuh bogus

  • I don't know but I'll assume his accent is fake. I lived in Puerto Rico and NYC where I was sorounded by West Indians and I never heard a Bermudean who sounded like him. Fake accent or not, he's an awesome talent.

  • Bermuda isn't anywhere fucking near the West Indies. There aren't even that many west Indians there. It has its own fucking accent. Dick.

  • wait! how is Bermuda not anywhere near the West Indies? fuck outta here......even still....the same slaves that were bought to the Americas and the Carribean, were bought to Bermuda as well......Bermuda was and still is to my knowledge a British Colony, such as Trinidad, Jamaica, Bahamas, St. Kitts, Turks and Cacos and all the other English speaking Islands......

  • Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago were the first British colonies to gain independence in 1962 followed by Guyana and Barbados in 1966, the Bahamas in 1973, Grenada in 1974, Dominica in 1978, St. Lucia and St. Vincent & the Grenadines in 1979, Antigua in 1980, Belize in 1981 and St. Kitts & Nevis in 1983. In late 1987, Montserrat, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, and the Turks and Caicos Islands remained crown colonies with limited internal self-government.

  • What moron are you? Bermudas population is Majority Black, with the majority of those Blacks tracing their roots directly to the West Indies and from there Africa. There are over 10,000 Jamaicans, Bajan, Trini's, Vincentians, Lucians etc living in Bermuda. You must be a white Bermudian are just an ass who don't know shit about the country.

  • I'm not a moron. I grew up there with Bermudians none of them sounded west indian, no matter what colour they were. And there is no way most black people in Bermuda trace DIRECTLY back to the west indies... all my friends had parents who were bermudian, and grandparents who were bermudian.

  • *slaps forehead* Dingleberries, my greatgranparent both are bermudian, so is my great great, but there is no NATIVE Bermudian, most blacks will find that their ancentors were originally brought over and landed in the West Indies, then sent to Bermuda. I can't believe you don't know that. The accent is simlar to the Bahamas and Turk/Caicos, but due to the larger white population and heavy english influence, Bermuda creole accent was 70% diluted.

  • i thought bermuda was in the wast indies...

  • Yes and No...Geographically no its not (like the Bahamas is not, Like Guyana, Belize, Turks Caicos etc.) Politically and Culturally yes. Maily with the British West Indies tho. Like Barbados, Trinidad etc.

  • Everyone in Bermuda traces there roots back to someone from somewhere else, but only past 400 years ago. slavery was abolished in 1834 (in Bermuda) so I suppose, at a push, have a grandparent who was a slave from the west indeans. But your last comment basically agreed with what I just said so this comment is kind of redundant.

  • finally the herbs come around

  • ua re the biggest fuckin fool yute.

  • O.k then, well...fuck you too

  • i wish could talk like him

  • Always glad to see positive things going on. He was born in New Orleans and from age 5, grew up in Bermuda.

  • BIGG UP COLLIE BUDDZ

  • actually he was brought up there..idiot

  • ur the only joker there's not just black ppl in the caribbean. if a black person from england can speak with an english accent why can't a white guy from bermuda speak with a caribbean accent? he's lived there since he was a kid so he's just being himself. don't be so ignorant

  • LMFAOOOOOOOO...he is a good singer tho

  • ya'll niggas stop hating on my nigga collie buddz!! my cuzins are from houston, n they sound black!, thats cuz they grew up around black people they say nigga, theyre BLACK!! same with collie buddz he grew up around tha accent hes bound to have that accent too!!!, ya dumbasses!!,stop hating!!, collie buddz, one of the sickest artists period!!!

  • If someone moves to spain at 4 and never knows any other culture until a late adult then what? You would expect him or her to have the accent of where they were raised. Its his accent i'm caribbean you can't fake it for long. And there are white, black, hispanics etc of caribbean descent. Travel you might be shocked ..
