  • I was just finishing my two years National Service when this came out and when many other great singers were making themselves known. What great times they were then. Cannot beat beautiful memories and good entertainers and great voices along with the great bands of that era. Sigh!!

  • frankie was my late sister-in-laws favorite she had all his records

  • @multi787311 All I can say is Your late sister-in-law had great taste.

  • I have to say this is nowhere near as good as Frankie Laine's other stuff...please stick with your awesome cowboy songs, Frankie!

  • @rkt739 This was a remake of his first hit recording back in 1947, they tried to moderize it as Tommy Edwards did with his "All In The Game" but it wasn't as good. He started out with 50;s Pop and Jazz, his Cowboy stuff came later.

  • @rkt739 Don't be selfish -why shouldn't he upload songs such as this - that others of us LOVE?! I think Frankie could do no wrong but I especially love his ballads.

  • great stuff!!!

  • Thsi is my grans favorite song :) She is really ill right now so hearing this makes me think of the happy times i have spent with her :) xxxx

  • he was still singing this at 92 fantastic!

    check it out!!!!!

  • Oh for the Good old music days!

  • Yes I have been waiting for those good old music

days to return but it doesnt look like they will in my life time

  • I play over and over

    i post on face book

    it makes me me think

    thank you so much

  • Really interesting alternative to the one you (and I!) prefer on the "Rockin" album. That Paul Weston arrangement is one of the best charts to come out of the 1950s! Do you plan to put that one up also?

  • I thought that it was already on YouTube. I looked and it wasn't so I just added it on to

    YouTube. Enjoy

  • Great song,but by now (1958) if it wasn't r&roll

it didn't sell, but I believe his concerts were

    still selling out.

  • yes his shows were huge all over the world

during this period and his album sales increased also.

  • what a voice beautiful version i must of played it 20 times lol love it thanks for sharing it with us

  • Your very welcome. This version is quite different from what he did on Mercury. But I like the "Desire" recording on his "Rockin" album best.
