I cant beleive they let u duct tape that in the first place. The gym I go to the supervisor bitches at me everyday, from doing too heavy bench press, incorrect cleans (even though I was just taught by an elite athlete) and muscle ups...
Awesome pull its nice to see other lifters hit well over 200lbs. I nailed 275 for 8 reps the other day and posted a vid. as well. good times indeed lol. Keep lifting bro you are strong
People always ask, "Am I strong?" Here's how you can tell. If you have to start taping your gym's weights together to get in your reps, you're pretty damn strong.
I have found a way to add weight to the dumbbells without duct tape. EFS Monster Mini bands. Put it around the dumbbell (from end to end, kinda like the duct tape) and slide the plates between the band and bell. I don't know if it would work for weight that heavy, but it's worked for me so far.
@rocker9181 shouldnt work any of your shoulders... only possible muscle would be rear delt and that would only be used if you moved the weight away from you (almost like a fly). The way this guy is doing it seems to hit the lat and upper back more. "swinging" the dumbbell backwards would be 100% lats
not bad brother trying to work my way up to 300 my self fucking pussy soon as they see a guy trying to get strong and kicking ass well theres none of that here man come work out anytime small space but got every thing you need meat and potatos
So the man thought it was called a duck tape, so what. You're a stinkin coward who doesn't stand up for himself in real life and lets people walk all over him, so you're lashing out on people here on youtube, you pathetic cunt.
nice man, i did the ducttape at one of my school gyms because i could get away with it, but i've yet to try it elsewhere. where did you buy the setup you currently use with the plates or where did you get the short bar?
today i did, 86kg's - 20 rep warmer, then 106's 10 in one go, then 5 pitt-force after but in quick succession then finished with a p.b of 116kg (includin dumbell) for 7 reps!
im impressed with your 270 for 7 thats a huge weight! but 200 for 25, is that 25 all in one go or a bit of pitt-force, ive done 218 for 16 but uve done 225 for 17 lol so yeh your bit bettter with that rep range but i dont think i could do anything with a 270lb dumbell lol ive never tried that heavy
yeh matt krockenski from EFS, hes a beast, but he does them almost like a barbell row grip, so its a bit different!
ive done 218lbs for 16 reps before, if thats a correct conversion from kg's to lb's! but ive never been consistant, that 106kg for 8 reps was my second session back after a long time but it was a p.b anyway lol cos i used straps for first time
ronnie coleman doesnt dumbell row much, ive seen him do 150's for 10 reps on youtube, thunden is sick with dips but dumbell rows good but not great, charlys is sick, but meatballstyle is much better man, how can u even compare thunden, 170lbs to 240lbs??
Thanks, all very stong guys but when it comes to rows we're all just kids chasing MattK's tail.. 225 for 25 is sick for strength and endurance. I did 200 for 25 last workout and the most I've done is a 270 for 7.
why dont u just buy an olympic dumbell and bring it in??? thats what i do. i think its only myself , you, and 'charlys' who rows like this on -youtube so far. charlys has done 100kg for 8-10 reps w/straps, ive done 106kg for 8-10reps w/straps, and 240? is what bit more than 106kg?? i think your the reigning champ at the mo!
well thunden something on youtube did 170's by quite a bit of reps. but that was w. straps so I dont know if you count that, but if you do then ronnie coleman did 200's by a full set.

@ne1l007 my bad i was thinking of a different exercise. This works your back. It does also work a little shoulders. But mainly the back.

shetyey your actually wrong its called "duct" tape originally.
AirGreece8 2 years ago
um... it IS called "duck tape". It was used for munisions boxes by the marines and was water proof thats how it got the name "DUCK tape"
as far as video.... if thats really 240 then that is damn impressive.
shetyey 2 years ago
@shetyey
Yes but name changed to duct tape. So technically it's not called duck tape anymore.
